I’d really like to know what Lansdown’s original plan for BS was, as I’d always thought he wanted to create a sporting legacy for south Bristol.

That doesn’t look to be the case any more, as he’s cut off the funding and a feeling of neglect is starting to creep in.  It’s not difficult to work out what’ll happen to any sporting organisation where cash has been pulled, or greatly reduced, so there could be some very difficult times ahead for all the teams within the BS group.

Lansdown now appears to have completely lost interest in his sporting project and as he’s made the group pretty unattractive to potential investors, he seems to have painted himself right into a corner.

I can’t imagine his original plan involved presiding over a group of stagnant, loss making clubs under the Bristol Sport banner, where even his flagship new stadium still manages to make a loss.  The fact he has shackled all these teams together into a pretty unattractive package is looking like really poor judgement on his part and not leaving him a way out without a big financial hit.

I wonder what he privately thinks of what he’s achieved, when balanced against his investment.  I can’t imagine he’s exactly glowing with pride, though if he’s somehow convinced himself he’s done well, that’ll surely provide conclusive proof of where our problems really lie!

The real Madrid and barca model, they both have multiple sporting teams under one umbrella

The thing is they have a world wide rep when doing this, we didn't

Despite supposedly losing the dressing room, being out of his depth, and boring I'd say our manager deserves a lot of credit for today's excellent victory against Premier League bound Leicester.

Although I expect several of you to disagree.

1 win doesn't correct the absolute shit show before it,

There is still much wrong with the club,

Sorry, they know the rules !

So do alcoholics and drug addictions but that addiction is treated as such, where as gambling addiction isn't,

I'm sorry the FA the EPL and the EFL and do loads more but they won't because it makes them money,

    They help enable this behaviour

Not sure you can blame the FA here.

You can, the FA enable this sort of behaviour as do the clubs,

There is gambling advertising everywhere, there is no programme for addicts, there is massive punishment but no help,

Jon Lansdown is completely out of touch with the fanbase. I don’t think he takes criticism very well so hides away when times get tough

Not many people do take criticism well,

Get things wrong, by all means, but when there is a backlash like this then a good leader will come out, apologise, learn from the mistake and move forward,

Those in charge are not good leaders, they double down which anyone with a basic knowledge of business will know that is the worst thing to do

Fair enough. I suspect they are well aware of the discontent….whether they can actually do anything to change it, out of choice or ability…well not sure about that

They aren't hence all the tone deaf things coming out from the club

I remember hearing the hat story around the time it happened and that summed up my opinion of GJ’s management style. It worked in the lower leagues, but he couldn’t manage the better players’ egos. His boy is cut from the same cloth. Both awful man managers.

GJ's team finished in it's highest position since the 70s and never finished out of the top 10 in the championship once we got here, so he couldn't of been a bad man manager as that just wouldn't of happened, we've not got back to that level since his sacking

    Limited yes, poor absolutely not

I'm not against the Lansdowns leaving the club, but what I feel is best is not so much new owners, more investors and more seats on the board, so it's less of an echo chamber,

That's what's causing the issues, not enough variety of voices in the throne room

Let's see what we get for the final three home games................if he wins a couple of the next three most might hang around, if he picks up 0-3 points there will be empty seats rattling all over the place. Bearing in mind we have had nothing to play for (although we still might if he loses those three) for a number of seasons and there hasn't been a massive drop off that I can remember.

The malease needs to be lifted,

We need to be quick out of the blocks and in the oppositions face, that should get the crowd going, which in turn should feed the players

No more of the trudged boring possession based bullshit,

Do that and he will win back some fans, and may even reverse some of the damage done by the higher ups,

That or tinnion, Manning and Jr all resign by Monday and are replaced with proven compatance

You really are a grade a bellend and nothing but a troll,

The only muppet here is you, for dismissing very valid criticisms of the club out if hand and not trying to see the other point of few,

No you have to act like a cock and Lord it over people for Internet clout

That’s why I included part time too. Not suggesting we have many tourist fans, but plenty who may attend 1-2 matches a season and when combined they’ll spend more than the likes of us on average for that match. Again, not saying I agree with favouring them as the atmosphere suffers massively.

But they really don't spend as much as the season ticket holders, if they did then the club wouldn't offer such attractive options for season ticket holders, it's basic maths and why so many clubs outside of the prem need fans through the turnstiles,

We don't attach enough of those "tourist' fans in fact I doubt we attact any,

We rarely sell out it's easy to get a ticket and there is no season ticket waiting list compared to clubs like Liverpool or spurs who quite Frankley don't need the fans to survive due yo massive revenue streams
