Red Panda I used the term tourist as a way of saying the club would prefer to sell individual tickets as opposed to season tickets.

I accept completely that fans who live a long way away have no need for a season ticket, it not being viable to get to many home games, and to a degree they are catered for with the membership scheme.

Equally someone like myself having been fortunate to have an ST for many years cannot reduce my football expenditure by moving from a relatively expensive seat to a cheaper one in the SS simply because the club has made this decision.

I want to go to as many home games as possible but at a reduced unit cost, the club is preventing me from doing that.

They could for instance check the attendance record this season for anyone who wanted to relocate and make a more informed decision based on that, instead they have arbitrarily decided to impose a rule that we have never had before.

For what it’s worth I don’t think the price hike for junior tickets in the SS will have the desired result, they are still very cheap relatively speaking.

    We shall see.

The club will always prefer to sell season tickets, it's guaranteed income as apposed to assumed income that may not actually arrive,

Given a choice a football club will always want the season ticket money over pay on the day, its basic economics

Any chance we could stop talking about "tourists"?  Some of us live hundreds of miles away from AG, don't attend many home games because of that and therefore don't have a season ticket (and often end up attending more away than home matches).  Others may have caring responsibilities, other regular commitments, or simply not able to afford a season ticket.  I know we're second class fans, and I genuflect every morning, but we're not tourists.

Indeed, just because you live in Scotland doesn't make you any less of a fan then someone living in Bristol,

I fact if you make the effort to travel to a home game from miles away I'd say that makes you a bigger fan,

We don't get tourist fans we are bristol city not real madrid

I have had lots of emails and text messages - I can’t remember ever having them this frequently before

Something says to me the early bird sales are not where the club want them to be

I can, last season, and the season before that,

It's not as desperate as people are making out, it's just normal marketing sadly

The funny thing is, though, that game against Fulham with literally a team of kids who scrapped a 0-0 draw against a team that should have obliterated us and was a game where fans were given something to get behind. We then struggled as we inevitably would in the circumstances and ultimately brought in a Player Manager who was chalk and cheese to the bore in charge now.

If you want to introduce a siege mentality, us (including the fans) against everyone, Terence Cooper showed you how it’s done. Literally paid out of his own pocket for the lads to EAT on the way home from away trips. HIS boys. Showed plenty of emotion, got lads of limited ability running through brick walls. Fans right on board with it. Truthful, approachable.

Compare that to todays current siege mentality, billionaire club owner and board v punters, organised by entitled staff who think 30 years service (less the breaks……) entitle them to a top job taking plenty of dosh out of the club and not having to perform in return. Untruths everywhere, leaks all over the shop. Propaganda being peddled.

It was awful at times back then, but for different reasons it feels worse now.

There was a togetherness back then, that's gone now

Alfie does some great videos. His one the other day which on the surface was about a football stadium that's never been built in Lithuania, but in reality the video was about Lithuania's political history for the last 30 years.

Highly recommended, he does some cracking stuff, he has good insight and is fair

Almost absolutely spot on. And I agree with S'oD laying the foundations for what followed.  Also a really interesting manager to read an interview with, even if he was dour to listen to.

The only thing I'd disagree with is that for my money the football is even worse than Penis.  And yes, that does take some doing, but for my money he's somehow managed it.

I hated sods time here some of the worst football on show for me and was as bad as tp, but he did alot behind closed doors,

Manning currently is worse, if he'd taken over a team in the bottom and all the problems mcinnes and sod and even Pearson had, we'd be a little more forgiving, but he didn't

I'm a bl00dy clever guy, but I know I'd be sh17 as a manager. Being smart is irrelevant.

As for the 'technicalities of football'...I work in healthcare. I win.

I am a manager, being smart is irrelevant being wise however is priceless, to be a good manager you have to have leadership abilities, something Liam doesn't possess,

A good leader will get more out of a team then any manager can

I think if we'd lost every game under his tenure, then I'd be calling for his head right now. The fact is, though, there have been glimpses of good quality - and i'm curious to see what he could do given a transfer window

What when we used the previous managers tactics?

Manning is a fraud, he is not a good coach, he's led the squad into a bigger regression then any other manager in our entire history,

With all this money given to Prem clubs how come so many are in the brown stuff ?

Paying players 250k a week helps

If you want a level playing field then an international wage cap needs to be introduced

Are we in administration or liquidation?  Do players and club staff still receive their wages?  Do we owe a huge amount to HMRC?  Are we paying millions in interest to external lenders?  Have we been relegated to the third tier, fourth tier or out of the league altogether?  Do our owners have an appalling human rights record that we try not to mention?  Are we on our eleventh manager in the last four years?  Are we facing one or more points deductions?  Is our ground unfinished or falling apart?  Do we have an owner who brazenly ignores FFP regulations then blames everyone else when sanctioned?  Did we build a new ground which we never filled and then had to leave?  Do we have Tony Pulis or Joey Barton as manager 😱?

After initially supporting Manning, I now think he ought to be sacked.  It just didn't work.  Things could certainly be better.  But they could also be a hell of a lot worse!

We are still in a mess, it's just a different kind to those you mentioned,

It's now or never, I want to see him as City manager, just to live that experience, you know we all secretly want it!

I can see Warnock being the man to take City to the play off places, or at least give us a season never to forget!

Let's make fan power force it to happen.

Or have I just lost the plot and maybe suffering from temporary insanity?  I'd take anyone instead of bland vanilla man.

    No

The technical director is not dictating how Manning plays or who he signs.  If he was, we’d be playing front foot, high press, forward thinking, attacking football.  We aren’t doing any of those.  This is Manning’s approach, not Tinnion’s.  Tinnion’s fault he thought he was getting something else, but he ain’t dictating it.

Twine and Mebude signing’s will have been heavily influenced by Manning, Murphy and Stokes, both really young and already in plan.  No reason to not sign them.

I don’t think we sign Bird if Manning doesn’t rate him.

I'm picking up on what was said OK coms against West Ham,

If that's not the case then that's fine

  13. How much does this one cost 150 quid?

I'm done with football shirts, prob because of my age, but the pricing is a rip off especially when most are made in a sweatshop,

That aside it looks fine and I don't get those moaning at the blue away kit, the blue one from the 90s is one of my fav shirts

I totally see why you’re doing it. And I understand that’s the message you want to send. However, I’ve decided to renew and so there’s only so much I can do to voice my feelings.  As others I will wait as long as is possible.

You nor anyone else needs to justify getting or not getting a season ticket,

And if you feel you do then ignore those posters

I disagree with getting one currently because I've seen this shit before and how it ends,

But it's a personal decision and one that shouldn't be influenced by others,

I have great respect for the way you've posted and justified your choice kudos

Leicester to one side the run in will likely save him as well as the return of Jamo, our midfields been adrift without him and we’ll likely end up around the 60pt mark.

James won't make a difference, nether would foden and haarland on loan,

The players aren't the problem, the system they are being asked to play is the problem

DH wasn’t SLs appointment- that was down to Ashton and Junior. Holden was a ridiculously stupid appointment who was sacked because City were flirting with the drop zone. It was a worrying time.

SL then appointed Nige who saved us despite inheriting an unfit and leaderless squad.

LM wasn't appointed by SL he was appointed by tinnion and JR

See how you logic works against you
