Seen this movie before, a fair bit recently. I want to say we can not be that bad in the second half, but recent history suggests otherwise.

We are playing for 0-0, and given our track record when doing that, if offered that now I would take it. Which sums it up,

Bubbling nicely. First ‘ffs’ we will have true meltdown. Deservedly.

Football is always ‘what ifs’ but keep coming back to if we had got ‘disappointing’ home draws against the likes of Millwall, Stoke and QPR we absolutely would be already safe. Take current results today at the end, although a winner from Preston would be a bonus.

I don’t think LM did that much wrong today. First half we neutered them and that was spot on. The difference was the bench today pretty much, and some lack of concentration at key times. Maybe could have tried to tighten up with ten to go, but we are far from the first team Ipswich have done this to this year. The core issue is not this type of match, where he can evolve a bit from Pearson ball and we look ‘ok’. It’s working out what the heck we do when we play the bottom ten, where we are shocking at the moment. Get done by Swansea then it’s going to get more sweaty than it had any right to.

‘Emotions’ had no impact on Wes taking Pring to the cleaners. Difficult when he is clearly carrying a knock, and would have brought on Roberts I think, bank of 4 in front of a bank of 5, deny them space and just grind it out. Instead last 20 we were overrun, even though we went ahead in that period.

Pick the bones out of that one. Going ahead on 77 min we really should be getting something. Scored two crackers, soft in defence. In fairness, much better effort and match than the last few, but it’s another loss. Really need a positive result against Swansea now. Enjoyed the match, at least a lot to get excited about, and bloody frustrated too.

I mean, it is better, we are making a game of it. Ipswich are free scoring at home and we have restricted them to not much. Equally, still bloody frustrating when we get a little space in midfield and instantly turn back. Good move from Harry and Wells, but other than something a little out of the blue, not sure where any goals are coming from. Like last few games, feel 0-0 is the best chance of a result, once lapse, they score, and it’s pretty much it. But it is at better.

Not been awful. It just feels a bit predestined…hang on until they score, then what do we do? Not really moving forward at all.

I thought the standard now regardless of length of contract, was to insert ‘but a max of 12 months payout if sacked’. I we really are all in for 3 years then more fool us. Even then, that cost would have to be balanced against the cost of relegation.

LM thinks he is Pep, and is moaning that he is coaching them the same way but they are not doing what Pep’s players do. ‘Don't let them score from a corner. Damn, they did. I told you not to do that’. We know this group of lads will give their all if well managed, for all their faults. We are nowhere near that. When in a hole you often see teams need to dig out a result through just battling away and hanging in there. Our fight has left the building. He is now having a pop at the squad size with his bench, having got players back. It is becoming a parody. I was hopeful earlier in the season with at least the direction of travel. If we do get sucked in to a battle at the bottom, not sure we have the bottle for it.
