People rightly slating Ben White for this, and yet it seems the majority are fine with Ryan Yates rolling round trying to get Madison sent off

Not condoning Yates at all, but Maddison is a petulant ****, he's always picking up yellows for dissent and these stupid situations he gets himself into. Opponents know exactly how to wind him up and they know how he'll react. He's a very skilful player on his day but his petulance is why I hope he don't end up in an England shirt, I think he's always a prime candidate to be sent off.

  2. Problem is with this dodgy start it's likely they won't risk financially backing him in the summer 'just in case' - we'll then start the next season with half arsed new signings and I reckon we'll be in the shite and  looking for another new manager before Xmas 🙁

I think it's more of a case that the clubs knew they'd lose them in the summer for sure so rather than lose them midseason we've made a proposition to buy them and loan them back rather than compete with other clubs for their signature in the summer.

Yep, agree with this point, my point though is we've obviously identified the squad needs strengthening,  buying these players will do so - but for next season, not this season. Forget the Leeds performance, I never expected a result from that game anyway, but to my mind we are just looking to see this season out with what we have and to me that is very disappointing.

  4. When we're buying players we could really use now, but loaning em back to their clubs for the rest of this season - it just says to me we think we're safe and we've written this season off from any achievement perspective and we're planning for next season.

Just Googled, Potter in the last 6 months or so has turned down Lyon, Crystal Palace and Sweden so it feels a bit fanciful him going to Stoke in their current position.

Can't help wondering if his very large payout from Chelsea would be severely cut if he takes on a new job within a certain timescale. Either that or he really rates himself. Can see him being the next Curbishley, linked with everyone - joins no one.

Karma for a keeper playing silly buggers and a pretty pathetic team.  Totally his fault for letting go of the ball after throwing himself to the ground.  Why were Wycombe time wasting in injury time when the score was still 0-0?  Imagine if you travelled all the way up to Barnsley on a freezing midweek evening to watch your team give up trying to win.  Is a bore draw at Oakwell really the height of their ambitions??  Deserve everything they got 🤣

Yep, if you're gonna throw yourself to the ground like you've been shot, at least hang on to the ball til the ref blows his whistle 😅

Despite all the comments about it being something we will get excited about I am preparing to be underwhelmed.

Yep, the joy of being a City fan, expect the worse and at least you'll never be disappointed.

  8. Crazy decision to let him go. I've only ever wanted a City team to win and win well, for the first time ever today I find myself hoping NP gets a new Championship job, then whatever team he manages, they do a total number on us so he can stick two fat fingers up to our shambles of a board.

As a club, we really are being driven backwards 😑

  9. With the fit to play numbers down to the bones of its arse now, unknown manager and I suspect low morale I wouldn't rule anything out unfortunately.

We're going to need a quality managerial appointment and funds provided in January before I relax. Let's face it, City are exactly renowned for quality managers and spending these days
