Got a lot of sh1t from us when he played mind. Might not be so keen. Good shout imo!
Agreed, though we'd be swapping one miserable git for another

Need to change the title of this thread to Poor Old Man Untd. Wot a shockingly crap performance from a bunch of overpaid gits.

Rams blood maybe.

Can't play him as they will owe Spurs £10 million once he makes 20 appearances.
Ouch, didn't know that, but I think he's only played 6 times for them so far so possibly something else going on with him.

Dele Ali working out well then - still sitting on the bench and couldn't get a game v Burnley, total waste of time and money!
-
Looking at Everton's run in they look truly screwed.

Can’t believe some of the comments. NP is trying to sort out the mess from the last encumbrances. Give him time. This time next season, he will be judged, but not now.
Lansdown took his eye of the ball, sold all the family silver, allowed too many monkeys to be signed, expect more Barnsley style performances and results. Big shakeup coming in the summer.
Unfortunately though you pay peanuts, you get monkeys - if there is no decent transfer budget available to Pearson in the summer window then I dread what kind of squad we will start next season with.
-
Doing our bit to relegate Derby then
-
Squad looks disjointed and generally shite. That young lad Gordon looks like he could really go on to better things, can't see Everton keeping hold of him much longer.

Worst WBA team I've seen in a long time, 5 games since Bruce took over, 1 goal, 1 point in that time. They are shockingly bad

They’ve spent nothing on Dele yet. They only pay if certain criteria is met
Yep fair play, could cost up to £40m - but he's signed him on a permanent 2.5 year deal and even his wages are a waste of money in my opinion.

Everton - think Lampard is massively overrated and he's already spunked £40m on Dele Ali. Love to see em in the Championship

Burnley always seem to pull out of it towards end of season. I’d say Leeds are the current team who’ll be worried, falling like a stone and that’s ten goals conceded in 4 days. Belisa must be close to getting the sack now
Leeds fans seem to love him, more likely he'll choose to walk if the Board don't support him financially. I think his contract is up at the end of this season anyway.

Lampard must be crapping a lung with that Burnley win tonight, Everton could be a nice home game for us next season

May not be THE best ever City result but its one of MY best ever City results. Beating the Gas 3-2 at home just a few days before Xmas in 2000, especially after being one down in the first minute.
Just remember freezing my nuts off, singing Walking in a Wilson Wonderland and Beadle scoring. Great result, great night

Some might argue you could include Nigel Pearson as an old style manager, the jury is still very much out but there are signs of a game plan and a change of atmosphere around the club over the last couple of games.
Very true actually and i did think when he came to us that he probably needs to succeed in this appointment, or risk being in the 'has been' category.
Pearson took on a hell of a mess when he joined us, especially with no avaliable funds, it's just starting to come together now and I really hope he gets given the time he needs.

I watched the Watford loss to Norwich on Sky, they were absolutely shocking. Couldn't pass a ball 5 yards, arguing with each other, gifting the ball and terrible defending.
I do like Ranieri as a football person but I feel he's now in the same mould as Hughton, McCarthy etc, old style managers that just don't cut the mustard in the modern game anymore.
All that said, Watford are still a basket case of a club
-
Put em both in, might keep a clean sheet then

He'd be swapping one basket case of a club for another in my opinion

If Semenyo suddenly starts banging them in then that may lead to a windfall.

I believe that was the case when we played Stockport County away following beating Liverpool.
I'd forgotten about Stockport, ended up sat in the Gate watching that game on a big screen set up in the East End - they had Kevin Francis I think his name was, some bloody great big 12ft 5 striker.

I remember scrabbling around on the floor for the ticket I lobbed away before the lights went out. I'm sure there was an announcement over the tannoy that you would or may need to produce it as evidence to get a ticket for the replay.
