Thats my point. If he stays we need to do well (we'll we need to anyway). My point is that if we're in the lower half of the table come January, then the reality is that he'll be gone if the offers are there. If he stays and we do well going into January, then he's less inclined to want to move - at least until next season if we don't go up. If Knight signs as expected/hoped, then for the first time since THAT Cotts season, we look well stocked in most positions, and there is a hint of optimism around the club - even Nige mentioned the P word the other day!! Yes I think we still need to look at the goalkeeping situation, however if we want to keep players like Scott, Conway etc, then we need to capitalise on the feel good factor, and getting a good balance within the squad.

Bournemouth would be a decent move for him with regards to us getting a decent sell on if he proves he can (as we all think he will) prove that he can play at that level. He either does really well and a big club come in for him, or goes a bit higher up from there - maybe a Villa/West Ham, and then on again for even bigger money afterwards. Personally if he does go this summer, we need someone like Bournemouth to bid, which will then hopefully kick someone else into putting a bid in, and then the price just keeps going up. Like many others, I'm kind of resigned to losing him before the window "slams shut", but if not we really need to kick on, otherwise he'll be gone in January - and that will prove a harder job to replace him then with the inflated winter prices!

Thing is where do you stop? Mobile phone Sponsor - Sky do that. Internet provider - Sky do that. So on that basis nobody could have apple TV as their sponsor? Disney+, Netflix? Crazy.

Interestingly, probably due to my locality (30 minutes if that on a train into Stratford/London Stadium) I seem to have been getting a few snippets from fan pages on Facebook from West Ham supporters - also probably because it's linked my activity to City, not that they spy on you or anything...... Anyway, a few "groups" seem to think that they are very interested, with one I've just across a few minutes ago (but have scrolled past and now lost) saying that West Ham representives have spoken to Alex, and further movement was likely. Now I have no idea if there is anything in this, or how (un)reliable that particular group is, but they seem pretty sure that there is likely to be a bid put in, if it's not already happened. £22m was mentioned, but again, no idea if reliable. As I've said I've seen bits popping up a few times tonight, so will make sure if it happens again I'll screenshot, or link the source.

They do seem to be taking the piss a bit with everything at the moment, from kit suppliers, badges, colours, quality, and prices. It does make you wonder who's signing all of this off. That being said I do quite like that blue polo shirt (had the Robin and the ball logo on it) that was being worn the other day. With that being said, I've just realised it's 10x worse than I first thought - when you have to explain which shirt/badge combo you're talking about, it really isn't good.....

I'd agree with that, Bryan signing could have caused us a few selection headaches, whilst simultaneously strengthening us in a few different areas. Disappointed he's not signed, but also not overly disappointed that he's not signed. It's a very strange feeling actually! Being a part of it yeah absolutely. I think Bryan's biggest issue was that he was rightly replaced by a superior player, and also had a few injury issues as well. I think he's still a top, top player and is an incredible signing for Millwall. As I said, it's a shame we didn't sign him again, but we're lucky in the fact that we aren't struggling for depth in the position(s) he plays. We all move on, and at least that means that any potential money that would have been tied up in the Bryan deal, can now maybe used better in other places around the squad.

Ticketmaster to control the thousands that are wanting tickets? That'll be the next excuse when they only get 6549 on a Saturday - ticketmaster fudged up and didn't get the tickets out in time.

Would have been a good signing, but in some respects (and I'm not just saying this because he's gone elsewhere, I said it before) we are fairly well stocked down that side of the pitch. Experience would have helped the likes of Pring, but if it wasn't right for him and/or us, then it's for the best that nothing happened. He hasn't pulled up trees since he went, but can see why we were interested initially. He'll probably do fairly well at Millwall and good luck to him. Just hope he has two particularly bad games when they play us!

Gary gets a bit of stick (a pointy one maybe) but I don't think he was ever truly fully fit when he was here. He wouldn't be the first player in recent years to be played against the better advice of some. Also wouldn't be the first to be in the hands of dodgy medical staff either, but I speculate about both points there. He has coached at Liverpool, and performed wonders at Bournemouth, despite originally being seen as a stop gap appointment. This has all the marks of someone being named within hours. I don't think he'll have a problem getting another job, if he wants it. Maybe one of the more unfashionable Prem sides will take a chance if something comes up, or even a Championship side hoping to build something, as someone alluded to, maybe someone like us if Nige was to leave (hopefully no time soon though). His stock will be fairly high. Would be surprised if he isn't in a job by September.

Is it just on that one website, or multiple ones? If it's just the one (or a few) it could just be that the website(s) aren't set up for browsing through a phone. If it's happening quite a bit, maybe go into your browser options and see if there is an update available which may put things right. Mine will sometimes do funny things (Samsung S20) but an update will usually sort it. My phone downloaded quite a large update last night, so there may be one due for yours. Other than that, no clue sorry.

Following a fantastic 2022-23 Championship season, the stock of midfielder Alex Scott is at an all-time high - and that means Bristol City supporters should probably expect the club to cash in on him this summer. The Guernsey maestro has had a remarkable rise in the last two years and he's had interest from top flight clubs for as long as that, but never as much as he has this summer. Bournemouth look ready to splash the cash and according to the Daily Mail, they have lined Scott up as a target. The Cherries are no stranger to raiding Ashton Gate for talents having taken Ghana international forward Antoine Semenyo in the January window, and they have made Scott a real player of interest this summer. Bournemouth were taken over by American businessman Bill Foley back in December and he invested into the squad in the mid-season transfer window, which ended up keeping them in the top flight. They currently see £25 million as too much though for Scott, and they aren't the only club to feel that way with West Ham United and Wolves also not wanting to sign the teenager for that price. No idea if it's a source to be trusted, or whether it's just their equivalent of our Bristol City Till I Die page. Thought I'd add to the pile though....

I stopped reading after this, as factually it's incorrect. I don't think I'm on my own when I say that nobodies really bothered by Ipswich. Ashton however is a sleezy little stain on the human race, that virtually ruined our club. How long has he been with you? Well that's how long it's taken to get us on some kind of financial level after getting rid of his overpaid contracts. Yes he was answerable to someone above him, and yes he had somehow managed to pull the wool over his eyes by largely "being left alone to run things". Sound familiar? More fool our board for buying into the nonsense and bullshit. At least now he's somewhere away from here, and we're in a better place all over - financially, behind the scenes, medically, pretty much at every level. In McKenna I think you've got a great coach, and think he will do well at this level. Have to admit that I don't know much about your squad, other than the fact that you have a lot of filler (we had that as well, they were called clubs in the bag), but if you leave that slimeball alone with a big bag of money for too long, then it won't be there for very long. He likes to spend it like monopoly money. As for being championship nobodies, yeah I'll take that. Means we've been here for a while, and whilst we'd all like better, at least we're stable. How long have you been down in league 1? If you think it's going to be easy coming back up, then you may be in for a very large shock. Most clubs probably don't even know who their ceo is, or wouldn't recognise them if they bumped into them down the street. Therein lies the issue. We were warned about him from supporters from Watford and West Brom, and a few immediately started digging and became very dubious. You guys get warned and it's all head in the sand, which is fine, but don't say you weren't warned when it goes wrong, and/or the money starts running out. It's no coincidence that he jumped ship at a time when the purse strings were being tightened, and the screw was turning on him. I guarantee you, that if you lose a few games in a row then you won't hear a word from him, however the second you get a win, then it will be all "we/me/I". The thing is your club was being ran so poorly for so many years (yes that cap also fits us) that you seem happy to have a bit if money and someone who is very, very good at using clichés and buzzwords (I'll give him that, he is good). Enjoy next season. I personally don't care where you finish.
