  1. Wow, some game to get thrown into, especially with United coming off back to back losses. It'll be interesting.
  2. Is that the upgraded toilet facilities? Bucket to piss in and a bowl of water to wash your hands. Fancy stuff.
  3. Talk of a friendly is pointless, and as mentioned before, is probably all from that end anyway. It would serve us absolutely no purpose whatsoever. If we win, oh they're championship, and the red faced lady garden has thrown billions at them so they should win. If they win, it would be like their cup final, and we'd never hear the last of it. Either way, Barton the thug and the rest of his cronies would just instruct the yobs to kick lumps out of our players, and do damage wherever possible, probably causing season ending damage to someone. The police wouldn't allow/want it. Unless we have the misfortune of drawing them in a cup, I'd be happy if we never played them again. Even better if I never saw them again completely.
  4. Trust me you haven't missed much! Looks awful, although not as bad as I expected it to be tbf. Definitely a step back.
  5. Agree completely, and have posted on numerous occasions about how the "sicknote" tag that has been given to him by certain sections of OTIB is just a load of bollocks that 1 person has said, and has had people jump on the bandwagon. Suddenly he's a waste of money. If Kalas doesn't re-sign with us, you can guarantee he'll sign for someone higher up the league and probably be part of a very decent team.
  6. Also see that around that number again have gone back to their parent clubs as their loans have expired, including Tuanzebe, who seems destined to be the next Kalas in the respect that he just seems to go out on loan every season. Not sure how he's played recently, but at one point was fairly highly rated at Man Utd. At what point are players like that going to realise they need to leave to make a name for themselves?
  7. Not with the history between him and Pearson from their Leicester days. Along with Lingard, Nige was not impressed with their attitudes to say the least. Never going to happen.
  8. They're laughing because they've all just realised that every single one of them have returned to the exact place they had their first meeting with Wally and Jailey Barton. In that meeting, they were shown the views, told to take in the sights, and to look at the stadium on the horizon. What they weren't told is that they were looking the wrong way....

    Left back

To be fair with Woodman, he was a bit like Flapper Philips - decent enough for the level we were at, but was never going to be a top end player. His career trajectory after leaving us proves as much. As a side note, he is actually still playing at age 40, for Tiverton.

Did Maloney ever play on the left? Predominantly a right back.

TWA71 may be a better option for a personalised plate, less obvious.

Yes! That's the one I was thinking of ?

Decent, steady keeper for the level we were at. Luckily for him, the only competition he had really was an ageing Mike Stowell, and a string of reserve Premiership keepers on short term loans to cover for injury. All of whom funnily enough ended up being far superior keepers than him - Boaz Myhill and Ben Foster to name two off the top of my head (sure there's at least 1 more I can't remember as I'm knackered). His downfall was Basso, and getting all Billy big bollocks once he actually lost his spot in the team. Had he kept his mouth shut and welcomed the competition, he could probably have improved himself as well, but no, threw his toys out of the pram and wanted out. He rightfully lost his place in the team, and almost immediately we looked far more comfortable with Basso in the side, and even he had his flaws. Shame it turned out the way it did for Philips, because he wasn't a bad keeper.
  14. In all honesty, if we had appointed a decent director of football whilst LJ was here, then Nige wouldn't be doing what he has had to for the past 2 years. Mind you, not sure that LJ's ego would have liked it much.
  15. 50k what with inflation an' all....
  16. Is there a "ruling" where they have to have predominantly played IN the under 21's to qualify for the award? Otherwise I agree, those 3 you mentioned would surely have been THE top 3.
  17. Neither Cotts nor Wilbs take prisoners, or BS, especially after the crap that that idiot has spouted. The fact that they're still held in high esteem here, also probably helps with their dislike of that lot. Both were here long enough to know how much "dislike" there is between us and them.
  18. Yeah, think it's the one we've see pictures of that leads into their ice baths/bins, that has a huge trip hazard in the way thanks to the drain pipe that's running across it.
  19. Each one of them will be waving their 12 fingers at him as he runs past them.
  20. People need to get a life if they are "offended" by something like that.
  21. Well after seeing the quality of the shirts in the shop on Saturday, I won't be buying one that's for sure. It really does look like one of the fakes on the Spanish market stalls. Goalkeeper top looked better than the red one to be fair, although even that looked cheap. The original TFG shirts were better quality.
