  1. So it gets canned because ratings dropped, millions tune into the last episode, TV company think they can get viewers based on that, millions will probably watch the first episode, then lose interest and numbers drop off again.
  2. Right, may get absolute pelters for this, but after spending the past week in Bristol and going to the Oxford game with a family member that works at the club, this seasons shirts, are actually selling pretty well. He would know, and I have absolutely no reason to not believe him. Say what you want, but apparently the numbers are pretty good...
  3. Disappointed but tbh it was to be expected. There aren't many on here who at the end of last season said "that's the last time we'll see him in a City shirt". Other than a few friendly appearances this pre-season, they were right. It's going to end up being our biggest fee received eventually (probably), and if he doesn't make the future England squads, I'd be amazed. He's great player, has his head screwed on, and didn't kick up a stink when other players in his position could, and have done so. Good luck to him, I really hope he goes on to have a fantastic career no matter where he goes in the future. Can't fault the lad, you really can't. Bournemouth have a real gem on their hands.
  4. The new mug co-owner (or whatever he is) looks like a stunt double for Borats mate in the film...
  5. Did a certain forum user drive them in his mini bus?
  6. They'll get one of their retired supporters who is "keeping their hand in" that has an angle grinder, and just get them to cut off a bit on the top and bottom so that it's not so high. The worrying thing is, it wouldn't surprise me if that happened....
  7. Very good point. It's probably being thought of as more of a "limited edition" and being charged at £5 more on that basis, however you raise a very good point - would only take 1 blind/visually impaired person to raise an issue.
  8. @phantom is quick off the mark tonight! Give it a go and see how much more pleasant and stressfree your browsing is. Can get a bit confusing if one of the usual suspects hijacks a thread and goes on a trolling rampage though sometimes!! That is course unless you've put me on your ignore list, in which case, good day to you sir, see you on the other side
  9. Working fine for me - can't see any of those posts unless I click on them and choose to read them.
  10. They had before they were relegated from the Championship previously to be fair - probably why nobody from this level wanted to take him on. Well that and his wages!! As for Bakinson, looks a great player 1 game, then goes to sleep for a few months. Be interesting to see the reaction to him from Nige when we play them?
  11. Yep, fair play to them. Something that has (to my knowledge) never been done before. Very good point, does feel that they've taken a step forwards due to the shirt, however because of what has happened this week with the Barnsley announcement(s), they took about 50 backwards anyway. ...and then this. A limited run of 250!? Be innovative, be bold, stick it on all of them. Would it really have cost much more to get a bigger quantity done? 50 of each size from s-xxl is your 250 done. What about kids shirts? In all fairness with the shitshow we've had so far with our kits, we can't say much. It's a great idea, just could have been executed better (where have we heard that before).
  12. He is, and can sign for anybody tomorrow. What I'm saying is, it's clear he isn't in any rush (assuming something hasn't already been arranged), and maybe, if he is wanting a bigger wedge still, he could wait around and hedge his bets until after the window has closed. Remember when we signed Ashley Williams? Signed as a free agent after the window closed. If he waits until then, he may be able to command a bigger contract as potential suitors may well be in a similar position we were then with Williams - desperate for a centre back with a wealth of experience. He may have something lined up and agreed already, but it is surprising that we're a day before the start of the season and he has no club. Presumably clubs are delaying because of the injury last season.
  13. I too am a big fan of Kalas, and think you're absolutely right - we are covered in that position now, especially after the re-emergence of Vyner last season. Vyners form last season I think is a big reason why Nige is quite happy to let Kalas go without breaking the wage structure. Had Vyner not have been so good last season, then maybe we may have given a bit with regards to Kalas' wages. Good luck to him moving forward, I personally think that he may bide his time with regards to signing for a new club, even if that means waiting for September to sign as a free agent after the window closes. Let's be fair, if you're still looking for a centre back after it's shut, he'd be a great signing. That's where he'll be able to demand a higher wage/signing on fee as well.
  14. They'd never have it - too much red...
  15. He makes it up to fit his agenda, especially when the glorious Danny Wilson and his band of merry (or pissed) men are mentioned. Wilson didn't think he was good enough and/or ready to start that game. Simple. No training ground injury or knock (first time I've ever heard that), he just wasn't picked. A mistake that could have cost Wilson his job.
  16. Have you got an Alexa (or maybe something similar?) If I tell mine to play BBC Radio Bristol, it comes on no issues. I live in Essex, it's predominantly West Ham or Spurs where I am (20 mins or so from London).
  17. How have I not read about this before!? Gullible prats will fall for anything, no wonder Wally is so well liked.
  18. He's probably hacked into the councils secure server so knows exactly what he's talking about. He is an IT wiz after all. Did you know that he also used to look after all of the computers used at Ashton Gate? ?
  19. Sums them up completely. Not their fault, BCC have let us down. BCC are useless, but even a blind man can see where the fault lies here. There was something mentioned about parts/sections somewhere around the ruins the other day. Probably about 10 pages back now because of the stupidity of the village idiots.
  20. Paterson and Walsh discussing aliens? Might explain something, not least why Walsh was always injured - perhaps he landed back on earth with a bump.
  21. Perhaps a lot of people have said user on ignore so haven't actually seen it. I know I didn't...?
  22. New investor? Do you think if I turned up tomorrow with £50 that I could become a majority shareholder of 2015 as well?
