  1. Pring and Bryan on the left, overlapping and covering for each other when the other is upfield, would not be too shabby at all. Could you possibly have Wilson and Tanner doing the same thing on the other side? It's a nice rumour, but let's see if anything materialises shall we before we all get too carried away.
  2. There was something a bit further back on this thread which, I think, was copied from the Sag forum. Something was mentioned about it being sold out, then not being sold out, and there was a bit of confusion about this. This was cleared up by the Plymouth supporter coming on and saying "you never sold your allocation so the remaining tickets were released to the home supporters." The loyal and true couldn't sell out their allocation, despite it being a Derby, and all this whilst always spouting about their amazing support both home and away.
  3. That can't be true, they sell out everywhere they go, and it's only about 90 minutes down the road. Bet the M5 is packed with blue and white scarves flying out from the windows......
  4. Personally I'd give 2 reds, 1 for the reaction and 1 for the deception. Our player or not, that's terrible and something that needs to be kicked out of the game.
  5. At least get it right. It's 480 loyal and true gasheads...
  6. The patio chairs, in places, are also green to be fair, so it was a close race.
  7. So are we worth about £300m then? Did that Sag go to the Glaziers school of accounting?
  8. The answer to that question is - they're too dumb to see what is right in front of them. I work in a school, and we had 2 old "temporary" buildings which had been there for 20+ years. We were told by the local authority that they were building us a brand new state of the art building to house both rooms in one building, within the next 2 years. Those 2 old buildings needed so many things doing to them, but we didn't put any money into them - unless it was something essential like new locks or a water heater - because they were being knocked down within 2 years. If they're spending more money on the existing pit, even if it's temporary, there is nothing in the pipeline that is remotely serious about a new ground. Also, why increase the capacity, when you're barely hitting the current (reduced) capacity in the first place? All lip service to keep the happy few on side. They're just too stupid to realise, even after all this time.
  9. It's the sort of thing that Levy might try to be honest, can't say I'd be too impressed as a Spurs supporter though, as let's be honest, it would be massively underwhelming. Poch Mourinho Conte Will Still.
  10. Absolutely, any possible new deal should/will be reduced from what he is currently on, much like the new deals for Wiemann and Wells. I'd also go as far as saying a new deal on the same structure for Dasilva (who has been good since coming back in the side) wouldn't be bad news either, although that one is less likely I think depending on how far advanced (or not) to getting the other guy we were in January. If Kalas is settled and happy in the area (girlfriend/partner is local apparently I think) then that could be a key factor as well. Don't forget the training cone comment from his time at Chelsea, and how he was happy to finally be able to settle in one place after being moved around all the time in the Chelsea conveyor belt.
  11. I tried that a while ago @DaveF, and even posted the graphic to back up my point. Thing is as usual, if one person says something, then someone else repeats it, and then 3 or 4 people repeat that, all of a sudden he's turned into Lee Matthews. A sicknote he is not, but there we go. Edited post after finding, and adding the original graphic I posted to show how much of a "sicknote" Kalas has been. Let's also not forget that he probably came back too early last time, simply because we were short at the back.
  12. Sneaky, mind you a few of that Arsenal side could definitely handle themselves. Not quite dark arts stuff, but not far off. Bergkamp was a great player though.
  13. That moron must be (snooker) loopy.
  14. If I'm honest, I don't think any contract extension will be happening until November at the earliest, January being more likely. From the boards perspective, let's see how we start next season and see how things are looking after a transfer window. If somebody were to come in and want to speak to him between now and then, then maybe we would offer a longer deal, but I get the impression that he's pretty happy here. Overall most supporters can see what's happening (taken some a lot longer to realise/grasp what's happening), and he hasn't had the freedom to sign exactly when he would like - within reason obviously. Transfer funds could be dependent/reliant on Scott going, but we also need to remember that it wasn't long ago we were looking over our shoulders with regards to ffp and points deductions. We're not suddenly going to go out and splash the cash. Back to the contract, if there was an announcement tomorrow that he has signed a new 1/2 year deal, I wouldn't be disappointed either. We are heading in the right direction, and that is with a very small squad, even before injuries are taken into consideration. I don't think there's any rush needed, and I think that both parties will probably be fairly happy with how things are at the moment anyway.
  15. It's the one running away in his shoes with no socks on that gets me everytime ?

    2 UP 2 ALL.

We drew with one of the better teams in this league (I would take Carrick as our next manager in a heartbeat btw), when most would probably have snapped your hands off for a draw before the game. Yes we were 2 up, and yes we let it slip, but Vyner gets something decent on that ball towards the end, and we win 3-2. A decent game, a fair result considering how good they looked at times, a decent point. 2 dropped yes, but more positives to take from that game than negatives. Some people just like a moan.
  17. The Pie In The Sky Stadium. Simply because it will never happen.
  18. Unfortunate as we've been the better team for the past 15 minutes or so after a slow start. If we carry on playing as we have leading up to the goal, we'll get something from this.
  19. Getting back on track, how is the story on Bristol Live wrong then @Red-Al? I get that he's your son, and the natural thing to do is to defend him, but when the police and the courts say he's done wrong, I think he's probably done wrong. Everyone can have a bit of a rant/swear, but it's not like it's a one off is it?
  20. Welcome to the Stamford Circus. Just wow.

    Pet Stroller

Long shot, but does anybody have a pet stroller that they're selling cheaply? We're going to Cornwall on Saturday and the dog (Dachshund) has picked up an injury which is either a twist, or slight damage of some type around her spine. Vet said bed rest for a week and very little/no walking. Great timing Belle ?
  22. I used to work at City Link in Barton Hill and on a bad day you could smell it from there as well!! Must be awful that close to it!
  23. What's more surprising to me, is that I didn't realise Dier was still at Spurs!!
  24. Was always going to be a great gig for Potter. On the one hand, if he was successful, he wins trophies (eventually), and/or gets an even bigger job off the back of that. On the other hand, he does a crap job, gets paid a tonne of money, gets the sack, and gets a tonne of money! Was always a win win situation for him. His reputation won't have taken that much of a knock, as let's be fair, it was a completely bizarre move by someone like Chelsea. Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at Leicester to be honest, and I think they could do a lot worse. Chelsea are just a basketcase of a club, and have been for years. Looks like the new ownership hasn't changed that. One issue at Chelsea, is that there is going to be a number of players there that have been signed by multiple managers. Spurs are also a mess, but if I was a top class manager and had to choose between Chelsea and Spurs, I'd go for Spurs everyday. Also just seen a graphic on Facebook which stated that Potter is the 12th (I think) manager to be given the boot in the Prem this season. That, is ridiculous.
