Mr Popodopolous
Higgins the hero but Payne dealt the final blow! Had a feeling it would be close but under 250 I wasn't too optimistic. 3rd place, joint 2nd in a season where 3 go up- this revival has been nice to see! It's a mere platform but let hoping we shall build on it. Gloucs Looking at that state of play- I would say Lancashire especially given 3 go up are indeed going to pull away a bit. Leicestershire definitely look out of it and Worcestershire may well be- but beyond that it's 2 of 7- maybe 8 but definitely 7. Should be fun!! The Gambler
Just noticed that Gloucestershire are playing a county championship game in Derby that will be on day 3 the Tuesday we are playing Derby County. Cricket ground and football ground appear to both be fairly central. Cracking result for glos today who have a real chance of promotion. Anyone planning to take in both? I reckon I will take in the final session on the Tuesday if the weather is good prior to going to Pride Park

Nah, I support the only team that play in Bristol rather than the team that play in a town I've never even visited. Gloucestershire la la la * In response to @The Gambler that's not a bad idea at all! *I might have to move my own post to the non-football forum! 4 2

Busterrimes
Gloucestershire should not or have ever been allowed to play in Bristol. Gloucester is a City in its own right so they should be based there. The old Somerset border is close to AG so if anyone were to play in Bristol it should be Somerset 2

Which team plays in the CITY of Bristol? Exactly. That said, I'd sooner Somerset won the title than one of the usuals, Test playing grounds or the "traditional" counties. AshtonPark
Its county cricket though, not city cricket? So the county cricket club of Gloucestershire play in the county of Bristol, now whos the confused ones there? Yet people support them as they are the "local club", how does that make sense? Surely the county lines should be what is classed as local, not where the team plays? Otherwise surely MK Dons are still Wimbledon FC etc.

That is their local cricket team. Those who live in Bristol outright, it's the team with their HQ in the city (and county) of Bristol. underhanded
Adults telling people who they 'should' and 'should not' support. Ha I for one will be at the county ground for the 20 20 game between the two, and will support whoevers fans seemed as battered as I'll inevitablly get (meaning I'll support both). The team that actually play in the City & County of Bristol? That's Gloucestershire. The team that play in a city I've actually been to? That's Gloucestershire. So yep, they're my local team 3
