BrightCiderLife
Apologies if posted elsewhere, but has anyone else spotted the Oxford badge inside the new away shirts? Anyone else who's got one, does yours have it too? Always Look on the BrightCiderLife

42nite
WOW! Don't cut it out, you might have something very collectible there sometime in the future, depends how many there are like it.

BrightCiderLife
My best so far for how it happened is either an Oxford fan working at our manufacturers, or we buy those little labels in from somewhere else and were sold the wrong ones. Any other ideas?

Blimey. Hyperbole, much? My new away shirt has a Bristol Sport label. I hereby declare that institutional competence is actually alive and well at AG. Bit over the top. The manufacturer of our kit must be the same as Oxfords and they've cocked up. Can't see any issues with incompetence at AG because of this... That being said it is funny and a bit awkward.

Hence the reason why we got away from the mainstream of Puma, Nike & Puma etc. Or are we farming it out to some Indonesian sweat shop that makes kits for everyone? Septic Peg
Hilarious! Proper made me laugh. Classic City. Fwiw, Oxford's is made by www.starter.com whom normally specialise in American sportswear (e.g. NFL) so I'm guessing it's a balls up elsewhere at a label makers like @BrightCiderLife said. We do make our own kit but expect we outsource for the badge, logos, label etc. @AdamB @Mkelly you might want to check the stock in the shop fellas!!! The Bristol Sport online shop refers to the 'Vision size chart' which would suggest a possible connection to Vision Outsourcing... http://visionos.co.uk/ There's a quote from City's former commercial director confirming that City have worked with Vision Outsourcing (and Oxford have too!)... http://thewhitelabelsolution.co.uk/oxford-united/ & http://thewhitelabelsolution.co.uk/bristol-sport/

Bristol Rob
It's a new thing to attract supporters from overseas. You've seen those half and half scarves? Yeah. One of them in shirt form.

I'm pretty sure SL never set up a kit making factory, we may have kept designs in house, but the production of the shirts would always be outsourced as its much cheaper

We wouldn't be actually manufacturing them ourselves. SL would need to build/purchase a kit manufacturing plant and all the employees that would be needed to run it, purely for producing Bristol Sport products. Would be highly inefficient and uneconomical.
Bristol Rob
Sure I asked the question a couple of years ago and where the shirts were made and if they were being made ethically. If memory serves, they were being made in Eastern Europe and confirmed to all local Labour laws, so in theory, no child labour.

Laner
Perhaps it's a first for the club... we've got someone to sponsor the inside of our shirts this season. Excellent business if that's the case. Well done!

petehinton
Call me a 'Bristol sport hater' but I'd absolutely love to go back to a Adidas/Puma kit. You can feel how cheap the quality of these shirts have been for the last few seasons. Feel like Sondico or something you'd get for £4 a shirt in Sports Direct. Dollymarie
Wondering if this is a photoshop/windup up. This is one of Oxfords kits from a few years back.
