Davefevs
Odd Down (my old team) v Weymouth (my holiday team). Amazing to think Weymouth were only two points from winning the Gola Alliance (Conference) in 79/80, and could've applied for the Football League. Altrincham won it and didn't get in, the bottom four in Div4 (League 2) all gained re-election, Rochdale by 1 vote! Weymouth then sold their ground, moved to a purpose built stadium, and it all went pear-shaped over a number of years. Great for Odd Down to get a home draw. No-one liked going to Combe Hay! Heres the winner v Mangotsfield that cost ex-Gas David Menes his job;

Apologies; I missed that one; Gosport Borough v Bridgwater Town Here's the full draw; the South West teams begin at number 99. Match 48 is interesting; two teams with & in their title. I've a soft spot for H&Y. In 1972 before they merged, Hayes Athletic made it to the first round proper. And then they progressed after beating a league team; Hayes Athletic1 - Bristol Rovers 0 https://www.footballinbracknell.co.uk/news/football-news/29978/full-draw-201718-emirates-fa-cup-first-qualifying-round/

atyeomatt
Ye, we all love the FA Cup, but the cash could be better spent. Stop giving prize money to the Championship / Prem (poss. league 1)? Increase it at lower levels. The rest can all make a bit on the gate / TV ? For top flight the FA Cup isn't about the cash. It's an institution.

Taunton were very good and cruised to 2-0 but took their foot off a bit too much and let Tavi back in (where have we seen that before!). I was home 15 minutes after the final whistle too, luxury! Taunton should have too much for them on Tuesday at home. Basically if they stop the lad Crago from scoring they should be OK.
