RT's Vaseline Tub
Nathan Baker looks class even when not fully fit as playing through the pain barrier. Villa must have been mad to sell him to us as a young pro with great experience already. If you don't ask you don't get I suppose as they prioritised Terry & Samba over him! A mad short sighted quick fix view...

E.G.Red
Still think that we wouldn't have got Baker if the Flint transfer rumours weren't starting to ramp up .

Lanterne Rouge
It`s the same as when we sold Greg Cunningham or Luke Ayling in a way. You don`t know what you`ve got till it`s gone. I also think that he is playing out of his skin and through the pain barrier on occasions as part of a big **** you to Villa.

wendyredredrobin
Baker was not at his best today and clearly isn't 100% fit. Was clearly struggling at times put put in a bloody good performance considering. Hope the international break gives him time to recover. He is as good as Flint, better in some ways but perhaps not quite so good in others. Thanks for all your efforts today Nathan.

TV Tom
In my eyes he was only half fit today but still a colossus, I put him in my top 10.signings in the far too many years i’ Been following City

Shtanley
I thought today was one of his poorer games for us this season, he had some poor clearances/headers and gave away a few sloppy free kicks. Not helped by having Maggs at LB next to him though. Even the best players can't be perfect every week though.

Totally agree Graham Jame Mc commented on such ability (With a twinkle in his eye) chatting to him at the Q&A Bakes has more of an edge than AF or even BR but knows how , when and where. (Most of time !) Knows 'the game' Add his positioning and reading of He game and any lack of hot pace becomes minimal

I think he was struggling with his knee , and looked in pain / limping at times In other circumstances I don't think we would have consider d asking him to play Hats off to him for his commitment / guts

I think the only thing stopping him being a Premier League centre half is his injuries. Is he really that much worse than the likes of Steve Cook, Lewis Dunk, Mawson etc? If we don't go up ourselves I can see someone like Burnley bidding for him.

allyolly
Baker just seems 100% committed whether he’s fully fit or not. You can’t ask for more and he’s got to be one of the first names on the team sheet. Probably the most important signing of the summer.

Beni71
Since his last spell he seems to have matured, not so hot headed and gives me more confidence. I think he was 75% fit today but still did a tidy job. Has the potential to be a cult hero aka Mr Flint.
