I cannot comment on something that I only know a little about . Can you provide me more details either pm or on here, where it took place, what time, what exactly you saw / heard, description of the officer and I will forward it to be investigated again. I can also check available footage to see if the incident has been caught .

I am sorry I didn’t reply immediately last night

You clearly have a lot of questions to answer. I will speak to the young man who this was directed at. It's not the first time Police have used such language at football. Shame because it does nothing to earn respect and just fuels situations like these.

And this is where you tell us the young man it was aimed at was totally innocent and doing nothing wrong?

With regards to people suggesting the trouble occurred yesterday because of the additional tickets allocation and that this should never have happened... surely if some were intent on causing trouble they would have been at the front of the queue when tickets were released originally? I doubt very much they waited for a further allocation to be made before deciding to come over and start kicking off!

It seems quite apparent that the trouble wasn’t anything to do with the additional allocation of tickets!

Feel sorry for you Julie. Seems many want the right to kick off a bit, blame the police AND treat you like a PA.

Unfortunately I am used to it?

I don’t mind tbh, happy to take questions on anything but ultimately as already been quoted on here the 1% of so called fans seemed intent on serious disorder and sought it all day , either pre and during the match and definitely post match . It’s sad that people I know who were there with children were frightened by the fighting, and subsequent police actions, it is not something that should be acceptable just for supporting your football team.

Well said. These dinosaurs aren’t football fans, they’re morons. Their behaviour belongs in the past and hopefully both clubs will take action against anyone identified in actively seeking it out.

The sad thing about it is that they will claim they support the club when actually they just use it as an excuse for a fight. If it wasn’t football they would find something else. There aren’t may other opportunities where you get this number of people all in one place.

Real fans of the club will 100% say that these idiots are not fighting on behalf of our club and are not “honouring” the badge.

Indeed. I am sure there are things the police could have done differently, and would do differently next time, but the situation only arises because some people don’t seem to be able to go to a game of football and not be an arsehole.

I absolutely hate dealing with the police as an away fan, and have seen my share of over-zealous policing and certsomly have had moments where I have felt like I have been treated as a criminal simply for wanting to watch City away from home but, every time something like this happens, it puts clubs and police forces under pressure to have more of a police presence to have more of a police presence next time and just makes it worse for all the fans who just want to watch a game of football.

I think the police do a great Job. Keep up the good work!

So the decision to let everyone out at the Same time was made by the 'Safety Officer' ? I think it's nice how the work experience person was allowed to perform this role yesterday.

Happens a lot. You might almost think clashes are encouraged.

Beggars belief.

If the Safety Officer made the decision to allow Swansea fans out with no delay at full time then he or she is incompetent and not fit for that job, simple as that.

Incidents that occurred before and during the game made it obvious that a15-20 minute lock in of the away fans was required.

It’s not being wise with hindsight either. It was obvious to the vast majority of people in attendance yesterday but not the person who gets paid to make the call!!!!

Unfortunately you are not wrong.

my inbox will be full of the remaining away team football officers asking if the away policing operations should be reviewed because of this.

Its very frustrating as the away policing this season has decreased considerably with police services very complimentary around city fans behaviour

Can't say I was particularly frightened for myself or my young son in his wheelchair, but the idiots running around A11, one or two climbing and risking falling on to wheelchair users angered me greatly. By this time ALL stewards from the section had gone.

The greatest risk to my personal safety was constantly telling people to **** off out of A11. In the end I left early for the first time in 30 years as it wasn't fair to my son.

If the club had ignored the sage advice of the police and limited Swansea to its 10% allocation. The visitors would have been made up of season ticket holders who are in the main law abiding. If that had been the case there wouldnt have been large groups of unescorted males from south wales attempting to "take" pubs early doors and the subsequent reaction from locals.

Hi Julie. He must have a twin then. !! I know you've not answered some of my questions on this thread probably because the FAO @JulieH thread covered them, but could you comment on the foul language used by one of your WPC colleagues please ? Thanks.

Are you really complaining that a WPC swore at your friend? No need to answer until you get back from Church......

@JulieH absolutely spot on. But - and my guess is you knew there’d be a but - if the club increase away ticket allocation by almost 50%, presumably with SAG and/or police agreement then it must be incumbent upon all of those involved to make sure that’s done safely and sensibly.

Allowing a situation to develop between two a Welsh club and us - where last time a decision was taken not to allow a flag to be waved - seems odd.

For whatever reason the escort for the Swansea fans allowed them to arrive late. They then appeared to swarm in and either wind up the Swansea fans who were already in the ground or seemed intent on goading City fans.

They then seemed to climb over the so called sterile areas with ease. The hard yoofs ran from an area in the Dolman to respond. At least one - he with the nice clean white cap - was able to get pitch side and run along to land punches.

There was no police in the area. Unlike the occasions earlier this season when What seems like riot police form a line between S82 fans and the rest of BCFC fans.

Like the big boy he was he soon disappeared, throwing his cap off as he did so.

At the end of the game - a game where there had been an element of trouble - all the fans are allowed to leave together.

Now it doesn’t take a genius to realise that in that situation doing so was only going to lead to one thing.......

Don’t get me wrong those who indulge in misdemeanours are solely responsible for their actions but some of the decisions that led upto what happens makes me question whether the words police and intelligence should be used in the same sentence.

So you don’t think any “trouble makers” are season ticket holders?

I would say they are more than likely be season ticket holders who purely have season tickets so they get priority for games they know they will be able to have a little scuffle at.

Surely the additional allocation of tickets were still only on sale to season ticket holders rather than general sale?

Funny boy.....point is that sort of thing causes kick offs...and on this occasion a number of adults were clearly angry with the language. But in answer to your question, no, I've not actually complained. Now shut the F up and let me get on with choosing the hymns for later.

Season ticket holders would have priority. The trouble was absolutely about the additional allocation.

Actually - it is pretty grim that this happens - maybe you just accept it? Few years back at Brentford the Police called my then 10 year old a stupid C*** for trying to cross the road (safely) to our car - I suppose I should have laughed and thanked him because it is ok really

The minority always impact on the majority. I walked back across the park with some Swansea fans who were just as critical as I was about what was going on around the playground. Comments such as "No I don't want to get involved. We've lost, I'm cold & I just want to go home" to "It's pathetic" or "Belongs in the 70s or 80s". As one of them also put it, "it's a load of ****s jacked up on coke".

The reality is a small number of people use football as an excuse for a fight, claiming some sort of misplaced tribal loyalty, which the use of illegal substances doesn't help, especially in terms of self control. Whilst the police are not always angels in the face of verbal abuse and some pushing and shoving (tbf who would be?) and some times over react, they are somewhat damned if they do and damned if they don't however they get involved.

As for the idiots who went onto the pitch, they are just idiots. No more needs to be said. They should be banned for life and rightly so. We all know that Dolman A block attracts a certain type of person, especially in the lower part, so much of the stand off in that corner was no surprise. What was surprising was how few stewards and police were positioned there to start with.

Very few louts are season ticket holders.Swansea does not have a reputation for football violence generally.

How is it that the police seem to be getting a lot of stick here but not the ***** that can't go to a football match without trying to kick ten tons of shit out of each other?

Clearly if it’s aimed at a 10 year old child that is different and it goes without saying that you did the correct thing, took his badge number and made a formal complaint rather than laughing at him and saying thanks.
