Can't be arsed to read through all the replies, don't really need to ,to know they will be full of troll, must be WMP .WUM and the like, and why would that be? I will tell you why, because when someone poses a perfectly reasonable argument that challenges their bigoted views they have nothing to call on except resort to petty name calling .  I understand why they do it,  they just are so insecure.

I have to say I've honestly never seen a thread before where literally EVERY other person agrees on something, yet blindly you still refuse to back down

I’m not a troll, not a WUM, not a bigot, not calling names, and definitely not insecure.

You however are so wrong in the things you have said, and the things you keep saying. You’d do well to look in the mirror about some of the things you have written instead.

Some of what you have said actually beggars belief and I suspect that even if this case had gone to court and WMP had had to admit that what they did that day was wrong, (instead of them taking the cowards way out) you’d still find a way to blame your fellow fans.

I’m ashamed you support the same football team as me. Shame on you for not having the bollocks to admit you are wrong.

I've been on this forum for over a decade and you sir are the most twisted, uneducated, nauseating member I have had the displeasure to come across.

You are probably worse than any Gashead or Taffy that has ever posted here.

And this proves my point, resort to the old favourite name calling Gashead Taffy and more.

Why?

Because you can't argue a point without abuse, it's all you got, says everything about the narrow minded stupidness of some on here.

What on Earth does childish name calling achieve when debating a point, it really does happen a lot on here, someone states that the atmosphere at the Gate is like a Library ...so he must be Gas WUM WMP Troll or whatever, but then again you and yours need to surround yourself with like minded souls, safety in numbers, just keep abusing and carry on regardless eh?

Context - In 1996 I started University, it was the age of the internet, forum, email etc etc. I did a BSC in Computing, so I have been around 'the internet' and worked in Digital Marketing/Social for nearly 25 years.

In that time I have used, helped run, and even owned, many many forums, all of which have very high traffic levels. So I hope you can agree I have some knowledge in this when I make my observation of you.... I can put my hand on my heart and say that I cannot recall, not once, encountering a poster in a thread thread where their view is disagreed with by EVERY person who has replied to a thread so vehemently. There's not one message of support, not even a glimmer of anybody backing you up. Your posts/views have been argued with factually, subjectively and ultimately in a way that shows/proves you are wrong. Yet for some unfathomable reason you still continue with your path of blind ignorance.

You remind me of my Grandfather, who came from a generation of stubborn minds & souls. He took thoughts & beliefs to his grave that his whole family could see were wrong, yet he vocally dismissed things. The 'joke' within the family was that if there was a white horse in a field, and my grandfather said it was black, no matter what anybody would say he would insist it was black, even if the damned thing was white and the owner was stood in the room telling him it was white..

It's 2019, there's no shame in being wrong and admitting you may have got things wrong, all you are doing here is dragging yourself further down a path of no return.

You absolute ********. I'm not arguing a point. I'm making a statement about you.

The Elephant in the room here is booze, booze and football is a potent mix, and that is my point, in fact it goes beyond football and infects every manner of society, I enjoy a drink as much as anyone, in moderation, but history proves that football trouble is down to mainly one thing alcohol. Have we forgotten just how it has infected the English game? Especially in away tournaments , smashed up bars and assaults?

We Bristol City have built a reputation around Cider, it is so woven into our heritage it seems to some that it's a given to boast about being pissed, and the amount of monica on here that have a connection to Cider Pubs etc rather proves that The young lad Messango was photographed recently with a couple of bottles of booze in his hand with the look of bewidement, I suppose the intention was to say his is 'one of us' the kid is just turned 18!!

Seems like some have taken 'Drink Up Thy Cider' a bit too literally, I don't expect  City fans to be abstainers, but I do think we need to calm down a bit and as I say be a bit more aware of how vunerable we are after a few, especially travelling away.

OK I have got dogs abuse, fair enough, but it doesn't seem worthy of the message I am trying to convey that we need to be careful about excesses. WMP did over react, that is a given, but on the back of that feeling of 'winning 1-0' should not hide the fact that we need to be careful, especially our younger fans, I hope you can set aside your bias for one second at least and see my point.

CTID peace and love.

It's you lifeblood doing that on here, all you got Bob, luckily I have more ?

Maybe I’ll write it in big letters, just to make sure you’ve seen it.

NONE OF THE TEN PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE CASE THAT DAY WERE DRUNK, SO YOUR COMMENTS IN RELATION TO THIS ARE IRRELEVANT.

Also, plenty of people go to football and don’t drink (I am one of those people) so stop tarring everyone with the same brush.

Can’t help but feel you’re actually enjoying all the attention you’re getting, so maybe we need to just ignore your biased and inane comments.

My what a patronising comment.

Suggest you read my post again and not cherry pick what you think or hoped I would say to fit the agenda

You accuse me of bias, Ha!

Your entire post was about excessive drinking at football, which has absolutely no relevance to this case as none of the people involved were drunk (as confirmed by a serving A&S police officer who was present).

Anyway, it's clear you're just attention seeking now, so I'll leave it there.

Adios!

He at least has a back bone and doesn't need the pack mentality, tbh some are just waiting to jump on anything he posts, irrespective of whether they agree or not, but it's what the pack expect of each other.

You see it boils down to one thing, don't be afraid, it's OK to have an opinion that might not please everyone, it's  a Forum, where you can have an opinion where you should be able to comment without abuse, without childish he must be a Troll, Gas WUM  Taffy or whatever, it really makes you look a ....

They were in a pub, they missed the A&S escort either way it was a factor.

WMP surely? If any that is! Julie H said none was offered by A&S officers.

Besides which, unless the pub in question is quite a way from St Andrews- then 2:20pm sounds a bit early to me, to be leaving it! Sure I and mates left pubs later than that at Millwall away the previous 2 seasons, without issue.

Charlton away in 2016 too though tbh, their away designated pub is not far at all from the ground.

This was a topic about this situation ,we know drink and drugs with  some people on occasion at football matches causes trouble, but here it was not . To me on this occasion the police who sometimes  have a difficult job, got it badly wrong , as one statement i believe was from a officer . So knew  they could lose the case  backed down , which iam glad as it would be more expense to the tax payer. As for one nil i can understand ,as some of these might have been  innocent people from what happened at walsall ,as i knew a few from that time who  go to watch matchs for the football, and said some  of the policeing was a bit over tbe top .
