NO LIVESTREAM FOR THIRD ROUND REPLAY

TUESDAY, JANUARY 14TH 2020

https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/no-livestream-for-third-round-replay/

Supporters are advised that tonight’s Emirates FA Cup third round replay with Shrewsbury Town will be unavailable to Robins TV subscribers (Tuesday, 7.45pm KO).

Due to FA broadcasting regulations, the game will not be shown on Robins TV but you may be able to find a dodgy stream on Hesgoal or pop round your mate's house if you don't have a clue what that means. You'd better take some cans though.

The Robins travel to Montgomery Waters Meadow on the back of a Sky Bet Championship win, as they prepare to battle it out for a mouthwatering fourth round home tie with current Premier League leaders Liverpool.

City will be backed by more than 1,200 fans this evening, with pay on the night an option.

Fans are advised that there are cash-only sales and there are no card machines in the away end or near the stadium.

Ticket purchases, collections and duplicates will be available from the away ticket office situated behind the away turnstiles.

Stick £5 in your bet365 account before tuesday and it will be on there.

This sort of nonsense has to stop and the gov't has asked the FA to do so who turned round and said no even though they said 2 years ago they were phasing out gambling sponsorship. For under 18's to have to sign up for a gambling account in order to watch their football team is nothing short of disgraceful.

But then the likes of City and 17 other Championship clubs and 10 in the prem who have gambling sponsors on their shirts come out and say well we don't sell a replica shirt to a child; arghhh OK then but the FA are happy to promote fat busters like Macdo and Snickers so the kids get too fat for those kiddie shirts and have to buy an adult size.. aye naco de laga. 😫

Is this just a case of setting VPN to Sweden and streaming it off https://www.eurosport.com/football/the-emirates-fa-cup/2019-2020/live-shrewsbury-town-bristol-city_mtc1174791/live.shtml ?

I’m confident it will be streamed on the FA website. Follow the link I posted earlier.

It does mention live on there... no links on that page as of yet though. Does seem promising though.

also this link (from the mail mind so take it as you will) seems to suggest that they are allowing the FA to stream the games from their website:

Face it. It'll be radio Bristol.

On the plus side, I believe that because it's a cup game, you can have the commentary on your smart speaker and then watch football on your telly box.

There are streaming services around that you can get to plug into an Amazon Firestick, they charge a subscription but only about £50 or £60 pa, all EPL and EFL games are streamed to some far corner of the world, bit late for tonight but for the future a much better option than paying Sky and BT a fortune and only get the games they want to show you.

Can confirm this is CORRECT  Not on 365bet.   I joined on mistaken belief  that they streamed all FA cup games.  Do not.  Found the live schedule on  365 web site and only SPURS game.   Better win tonight to get my fiver back and then close account

Your contacts are correct. No confirmed foreign channels showing it. I will be amazed if there's a stream tonight.

ideal scenario is find it abroad and then listen to radio Brizzle unless of course usual time lag

Do you use a free VPN like Windscribe?  They don’t offer Sweden VPN for free. 🙁☹️

I use Private Internet Access Dave, it's one of the few things that is worth paying money for, rather than using the free options. Less than £50 for a year on up to 6 devices.

Nope. Paid for but you can connect multiple devices. Have used it on iPhone, iPad, Firestick and Windows laptop. Never had a Mac. Highly recommended though.

When watching Robinstv is it reliable.  I always watch via app on iPad, and regularly have to refresh the app.  Do you think it’s an app /iOS / Windscribe thing, and I might be better trying on Mac?

Bit confused about the radio options this evening.

Any idea what game is going to be on a smart speaker? I was hoping to use the telly to watch a game, if I need to listen to a radio, I'll have to go and buy batteries!

It's available online and on the BBC Sounds app, so should be available on all good smart speakers.

Might go and get some batteries anyway, whilst the weather is pretty grim, it would give me chance to get a few more cans in and some more smokes*.

*hopefully I won't need 'em.
