Ideal result tonight is a draw, not a Spurs win.

The final day then becomes a shootout for who can score more in their respective fixtures.

Arsenal would be three goals ahead but City two ahead on goals scored in that scenario. So Man City would need to better Arsenal by 3 goals, not impossible as Everton are very good defensively. So if the Gunners win 2.0 and City win 5.0, City win on goals scored. Level on goals scored would mean Arsenal win title on head to heads. My family are all Gunners and will be at the Emirates on Sunday. They will also make my life unbearable all summer!

Pretty much a title decider tonight. Spurs fans seem to be happy to lose tonight and not hand the title to Arsenal. Sure we would be the same wouldn't we if it was our main rivals?

I know a lot of Spurs fans and they all want to lose. They cannot bear the thought of Woolwich (as they call them) winning the league. You only have to look at Piers Morgan profile to see what Arsenal fans can be like! Here’s hoping for Man C to do it.

  3. So we are looking at 5 new signings for next season overall then (if you include Bird and Stokes), a winger, striker and this whole 10 nonsense (can we just call it a KDB/Odegaard type) that’s what we need, an attacking midfielder!

  4. Shocking to lose Matty James. But not surprising that good experienced pros who have achieved more than the Head Coach and Technical Director in football are going. This club is going nowhere.

The fact that Byfield was our top gol scorer was one of the reasons we didn’t go up automatically. Promotion teams need goals

It still amazes me how our best season at this level for many years was with a very average side, take Basso out and we would have been mid table. GJ falling out with Adriano was the end for that team.

Yes because he also chose Dean Holden.

He did the same at Ipswich as he did here. Got rid of an experienced manager (who admittedly was struggling) and got in a bloke with almost no track record. The biggest difference was that the guy he brought in at Ipswich turned out to be very good.

Again I don’t believe Holden was his choice.

  7. On another note, time to tag in some of the podcast fans on here, would love to see a joint interview with Danny Wilson and Nigel Pearson! Maybe give it 12 months, Two former Owls discuss Robins exits!

  8. I was at a wedding this weekend and an Ipswich season ticket holder was there, I explained our view on Ashton, their response was ‘we love him! He’s done an incredible job and really engages with the fans, havent been this together since Burley days’. As I said we couldn’t wait to appoint the most marmite ex city midfielder of all time as manager, that was the reason Ashton seemingly failed in my view and does anyone here seriously think he would have chosen Johnson?

Not blocked by SL, and JL actually follows me…and I’ve been critical of both on X.

Tins blocking was surprising (to me anyway)…but as for Exiled Robin, I find astonishing.

I think you might overplay any influence you think my tweets have!  Just a fan with an opinion, hopefully an objective, balanced opinion.

Shocked that you and Exiled were blocked, really cannot understand that. But I’m even more shocked that the club had a Technical Director on the front page of a marketing brochure for season ticket renewals. Shows the power.

Sure he will be back when we are in the Premier League.

He will see us there for sure as he said before. Then he came back after one win.

Ipswich and Mark Ashton get promoted to the Premier league.

Whilst Brian Tinnion posts bollocks on Twitter about progress. Get the clown gone.

Mark Ashton wasn’t the problem, the owners appointing Lee Johnson as a former player was. Now it’s the same with the Tech Director.

How on earth does he hold such a role at a championship football club. It’s truly absurd. The consistent lack of professionalism is just beyond a joke now really.

At times the criticism of him on here makes me quite sad as along with Wayne Allison he was my hero when I was about 5, but it’s beyond belief he is the Technical Director at a championship football club.

Don’t get me wrong, there are two people above him that are bigger stumbling blocks to this club ever progressing or truly achieving anything, but come on, let’s be sensible, we need to employ someone much more befitting of such a senior role if we wish to have any sort of success.

He did have a lovely left foot though.

It makes me laugh how he is promoting Yeboah who is now at Bath City level, yet earlier under Nige was given a chance. Nige created a pathway, Manning has been happy with 7 subs and not allowing academy players a matchday experience. So I’m sorry I don’t get his post at all!

I really think he should stay clear of the Socials , BT is clearly far too kneejerk to be trusted.
Typing then deleting Tweets ? That shouldn't be the actions of a big Company. To get upset and block people is weak and petty , specially when you take the role of unofficial propaganda wing of the Club.

Someone at the club needs to strongly review this. It’s not acceptable.

  14. To be honest I wouldn’t get rid of Manning first, it would be Tinnion to go. I really don’t think a former manager who was terrible in that role can now be in such a senior position, the behaviour is very up and down. Why block fans for having an opinion? It’s not like we’ve set the world on fire this season.

Appears he’s now deleted it 🤣🙈 becoming his new favourite habit

Why on earth did he think it was a good idea to post that after a 4.0 thrashing on the final day. Let the noise go away into the summer and focus on doing your job. To call 3 points more than last season progress is laughable when the target was top six, which we are miles off. Embarrassing, sums the whole situation up.

  16. Top pro, was so nice to my kids when they met him and also overcome with the emotion and passion the Leicester fans had for him too, a true legend of the game for what he achieved, three titles at one club including the PL. Nige did the right thing bringing him and James to the club, we must keep Matty now, don’t lose that experience and class, please see sense. We need players like that in the HPC.
