  1. His dives are not convincing nor his positioning. I just don’t rate him. Another Phillips.
  2. Max worries me, he really does. I never feel confident with him, lacks presence and some poor decisions today. The first goal he should get a hand on it.
  3. He was dangerous first half but a fit Tommy starts. I would like to have a go at 3.5.2. Think we could score some goals.
  4. We weren’t playing that badly. Tanner deserved to go off, gutted McCrorie is out as we are crying out for a bombing down the wing right back. Pring gave us a lot on the left. TGH is a good player but again no idea why he is on free kicks. Naismith had to be, I was expecting Kal to take that one on the edge. Cornick did well, but Sykes was on it and shouldn’t have been taken off. I’d have been tempted even to go 3.5.2.
  5. Our situation was poor and he’s done well to get the club back on track. We are good to watch again now, I would keep him because I wouldn’t want Robins or anyone else SL may fancy! But I cannot see SL keeping him.
  6. That was our best home display. Plymouth could have been 4.4 with chances they missed. We played better today, just too soft and not clinical
  7. Maybe that’s why Alexander went. To be honest why play Weimann left side. He was OK but I feel with Andi we just chuck him on anywhere. I’ll not a Williams fan but he was decent today, however the sub should have been Weimann for him. Yeboah will be good but he isn’t ready yet. He doesn’t ever look threatening and struggles to get past the full back. I think with Conway back we see less of him for now.
  8. We played very well and I am gutted as we didn’t deserve that, we actually got battered by Plymouth at times and can easily say we played as well today if not better at times, however we are the same BCFC. Soft. We STILL lack a destructive midfield player, we needed to buy a commanding CB, we didn’t (albeit Vyner is no doubt a miss). And as for the keeper, I am sorry, nice guy, but he is not a number one at this level. They were awful. Which makes it all the more frustrating. Nakhi played well but he cost us the game with that crazy shot he took. Should have been 3.1 and end. Their fans beforehand said they couldn’t see where a shot was coming from. They also wanted Neil out. I said don’t worry we are BC, we help teams like this. I was sadly right! In addition they tell me Rotherham are awful having played them twice and if we can’t beat them we may as well give up! 1.0 incoming.
  9. I’m a Nige fan but the reason he won’t get a new contract is he DOES NOT get results. Just saying.
  10. So is Nigel in charge today or Flem? All that talk of surgery before the break has gone quiet. Can’t see it posted anywhere.
  11. Well this is ultimately with Nigel will be judged on by the board. No doubt lots of positivity but let’s not do a standard Bristol City. Win both games because it will be another Leicester type battering at Elland Road. Quality gap is huge.
  12. Is Nigel having surgery? Seems to have gone quiet. Assume he misses next three games.
  13. Kavanagh and Thorne were the two I would have loved to sign.
  14. Let’s see what happens. Hopefully they sign Diony in January! All joking aside though I live near Ipswich and the fans are loving life, style of football and atmosphere is bouncing. Hard for them to get tickets, they took a sold out away and to Sheff Wed. Looking forward to a home game for me at Ipswich later this year, albeit it’s a damn Tuesday night!
  15. I like Nakhi, but again would probably have traded. He’s a hard working player but lacks that quality you need if you want top 6. A striker was key this summer.
  16. I think it again goes back to SL. We needed a striker and a CB in the window. We didn’t get one. Can’t judge today and couldn’t possibly also say all was forgotten v a Plymouth 11 who would lose games in League 1. A good start to the season considering but we missed a boat you can’t but feel after we sold Scott. Oh and a top keeper.
  17. Would have loved to have had Albert come back. I believe under Johnson/Ashton we came close.
  18. A shame the club don’t do the occasional legends tour. Other clubs do.
  19. I would love to ask Steve why he wouldn’t extend Nigel. In fact, on a microphone in front of 20K city fans! In Nigel We Trust. Finally a manager who gets it.
  20. World class leadership there from Nigel. How on earth have our owners not extended his contract yet. This is what SL always wanted for City, Bristol players from the academy, sustainable strategy, crowds of over 20K, the pathway and we are playing some great football. I don’t get it, what more can he be expected to do. We are on to a good thing but fear in typical BCFC style we will throw it away.
  21. Was this speculation re him missing Leicester onwards as he is in the Presser today re going back. Sorry if I’ve missed something. They may be pushing to the break.
  22. And putting BT in charge of football cements that further……..hope NP doesn’t end up like DW! Gone after a play off final!
  23. I think the ref gave it to Tanner
  24. Fair play to him, he’s never going to play regularly and score hatfuls but endeared himself last night. Definitely an impact player!
