  1. Naismith interview interesting. Mentions injuries we have and fact we only have one number 9 in Nakhi. Another who seems disappointed we haven’t strengthened.
  2. See what happens on Saturday. Would be unfair and crazy to end it after 5 games!
  3. Check out the likes on Twitter then to posts around how good our business has been etc……
  4. Why am I getting the feeling of another Danny Wilson exit situation here with someone involved.
  5. Is a takeover brewing here? Is that why for the first time in 10 years or so we haven’t had a SL interview for first game? Silence from new CEO. It’s all very very odd. Unless they have decided to sack Nige in the Int Break? Whatever happens if we sign nobody tomorrow as it seems then beware the backlash of the fans. In Nigel we trust and he will be the one we support!
  6. Fair enough but not sure I agree with all your comments above (that’s the joy of football). I am OK keeping him as a squad player but feel we need better in the midfield and if the only way is to be trading players then so be it. Aside from him and it Wells/Cornick, I can’t think of many who we can realistically move on to upgrade. But as we’ve said many times, this shouldn’t even be an issue, it’s down to SL.
  7. Interesting as I just don’t see it with Williams. I think he’s been a massive disappointment and one I would be keen to move on. His passing is array, injury prone and offers no goal threat. I thought we had signed a prime Ben Pearson type but how wrong we were albeit the injury he had probably curtailed this. He seems a great guy and clearly passionate, but if there was a chance to upgrade or trade he for me is the obvious one.
  8. They are but are taking some element of risk. Where as we have gone completely the other way. Moore would give us a focal point, he’s a clever player and a very good finisher.
  9. It certainly feels that way. Let’s be honest would you bet on Nige being manager this time next year? I wouldn’t. I do wonder if they feel they’ve backed him this summer with a few signings and they genuinely feel we have a squad capable of being top 6. The SL Luton comment keeps coming up, I understood we were keen on Carlton Morris but naturally didn’t have the cash to splash last summer. Cornick aside I do think Nige has got a lot right signings wise considering the tight budget restraints.
  10. They don’t understand what it takes to be successful on the pitch that is why. Time for change and I’ll keep saying that because seriously baffled with current events. Nige has done a good job, shame it’s not being reciprocated with backing.
  11. We know how swiftly things can happen in the window! Look at Cole Palmer to Chelsea. It’s a reactive day as per our Afobe signing a few years ago. We could contribute towards wages to free up resource. The crazy thing about all of this is FFP wise we don’t need to trade anyone but clearly it is the SL way moving forward. Just be nice to hear the club being open around this new approach. Plus we don’t need fees clearly, it’s wage reductions. I’m sure a few clubs would be interested. QPR for example.
  12. Back to the top of the thread…..I really feel we need to move on Williams by the end of the window. I’m sure there would be some suitors and he is one of the remaining high earners. We need better.
  13. Tony Bloom is what SL should have been.
  14. I am fed up with all his PR talk. We will never get to PL under SL, strongly believe that. Same old, same old. Time for change.
  15. What do we all think of BT now in charge of recruitment etc? I mean I loved BT as a player, prob my top 3, class act and city legend, but not convinced it’s the right move, especially as someone who had a poor spell as manager and a below average recruitment record. I suppose G Smith did score v the Gas!
  16. Sorry if this has been mentioned but are we still paying Massengo?
  17. There is no way on earth that Tanner deserves to play. He’s been poor in every game and is our current weakest link. Seems to have lost confidence.
  18. Don’t hear from any of them. Silence.
  19. We need a change, he’s delivered a strong legacy off the pitch and forever grateful. Would never want a protest type approach as he doesn’t deserve that. But we are very stale, it’s been over 20 years now, I don’t think we will ever get to the PL unless there is a some risk with new ownership and a different direction. I live near a Birmingham fan and he is loving life, it’s exciting.
  20. Some good options. I hope Nigel was bluffing yesterday. Hopefully the adrenaline and nerves of deadline day take us back in to the market.
  21. Twine would have been the one. Surely a £1M approx fee for Massengo enables a loan or two! That’s approx £20K a week.
  22. The fact that both are 32/33 respectively means we should be looking to use the Scott cash to replace them now! Not wait.
  23. Ashton Gate is a problem for us. As much as it’s a great day out off the pitch, on the pitch it’s so easy for an away side. I sort of miss the old sheds we used to have! Felt we were a tougher proposition!
  24. Great post and one which should be send recorded delivery to the boardroom at AG!
  25. Didn’t see the game last night but heard good things around Yeboah. Are we seeing him as more of a right sided option or central striker? It’s clear as day even before Tommy was injured that we needed a powerful CF.
