  1. I’ll never forget the Mansfield game. I also loved Bruce-Ball as a City commentator. RTV commentary never ties in the action. It’s our by a second so you know if a shot has gone over or in!
  2. I assume after International Break in October, how he will make a difference to this side. Genuinely feel we have a 20 goals striker but it’s his link play and movement too which benefits runners.
  3. Just like his dad, we were the pinnacle. At least Gary had achieved something. Thankfully this puts to bed any crazy thought of a return.
  4. I believe last time in League at AG there was an explosion of goals towards the end. We won, 3.1 I think. Haynes scored.
  5. There was that frustrating game which cost us PL promotion. 1.2 at home after we had that brilliant result at Charlton and v Norwich.
  6. Johnson final season: he spent between £25M to £30M, all those players aside from Wells (who now has zero re-sell value) left for………£0 with exception of a tribunal fee for Massengo. I think Nige wins hands down.
  7. There is one about how we had sold Scott earlier in the window would fans have been happy with our current business. It’s still there if you go to profile and check out posts liked. Also one recently around how the budget from Scott sale needs to be spent on signing up Pring Vyner etc there or thereabouts. This was all around the time of the anti board posts on here and online when Nige came out to say no more business.
  8. Come on! Johnson had nothing to do with Semenyo and Scott. All Johnson did was spend spend spend and loan out our talent. I am sorry I know I’m negative so if him but I had issues with the ongoing selection as a player and the management appointment, well, I couldn’t even think straight at Charlton away when it was announced. Spent the whole game feeling like we had made a massive mistake. No doubt Webster and Brownhill were successes but on the whole his signings and development of players was average if not poor.
  9. Johnson shouldn’t be mentioned in same breath as Nige. Nige has achieved far more in general in football overall, both as player and manager.
  10. I don’t think you should be that open on comments from fans personally in a senior role. It also isn’t appearing to align with how majority of fans and the manager appear to be feeling.
  11. City can afford to sign them if Cardiff can. We just choose not to.
  12. Getting a lot of likes from our Director of Recruitment too….all praising SL.
  13. Keiffer Moore would have buried those chances Wells missed at the weekend. He’s a very good player and would score goals.
  14. 97/98 team was great. I still can’t believe how good that Tinnion goal was v Walsall in the promotion celebration game. How on earth did he get that swerve. And the comedy triple save from Naylor in the same game with Welchy out (the American football pitch!), great times and a Gary Owers bullet header to boot!
  15. We were very average. Barely scored many goals. Good defence and still Johnson found a way to bottle it.
  16. We should have gone in for the Forest keeper who did so well at Luton last year. I like Max but he isn’t going to get you top 6. I think this is the weakest our GK department has been in 20 years plus.
  17. Absolute class act, what I would give for us to have some Xfactor right now like JET! He made a big mistake leaving us for QPR. Silly all around.
  18. I don’t get what the board expect from Nigel. I really don’t. What other manager would tick all their boxes and yet still not get a contract? Academy pathway, reduction of wage bill, selling best players and on whole buying well. I left Bristol for the capital many many years ago, I love the city but it’s a comfy place, something Nigel alluded to in the past. He has shifted the mentality and approach in a good way I believe. I would happily give him another three years!
  19. The Exiled Robin appears to be a happy clapper!
  20. Ally Durden take a bow. Both he and Owers are a great listen!
  21. Just be mindful of what allegedly happened with Danny Wilson here. I am not sure there is the alignment felt by many. Loved him as player, but some of the posts liked on Twitter seems to be very much aligned with the board.
  22. Absolute nonsense as many have said, pre agreed deal with Burnley fine but element of risk to include. We aren’t being told the full story.
  23. Not convinced by the CEO at all, felt that Gould was the best of the bunch. Had a likability factor and seemed to respect Nige.
