  1. Respect to those who live locally and this is by no means a competition or remark on other fans, I’m a Bristolian from birth but haven’t lived there for a good 20 odd years and unlikely to ever move back. That said I am a season ticket holder of over 30 years yet feel frustrated in many aspects. Well I guess to start with, it costs probably £100 a home game without season ticket, so every game is an away game, six hour round trip, yet you don’t feel you get plaudits for that or recognition, believe me it ruins your Saturday more than a 20 min drive home (I’ve done both and for sure it hurts more as you sit on the journey mulling it over and get home late!). You get the odd ‘home’ game in London fair enough, but you still pay for your match ticket and travel! You can’t even listen to City on Radio Bristol without paying! Because you are a city fan who doesn’t live in the area….I mean how unfair is that?! So if you can’t make a game as an exile you are essentially out of pocket either way. A local fan who cannot make it can pass the time by switching on local radio. Basically I think us exiled fans deserve a form of loyalty! Now whether that’s loyalty points for distance travelled overall, discount off merchandise, or a free home shirt, but minimum allow exiled ST holders free radio commentary coverage! I could easily get a season ticket at Arsenal tomorrow or West Ham. But they aren’t my club, City are, however I probably spend more than a season ticket at both those clubs combined to watch Champ football at AG. So, what can be done to encourage that and commend those supporters (many I know on here) who commit huge amounts of time and money to get to home games, plus the fact travel away most weeks too. Interesting debate, appreciate life is about choices, but some are enforced too and one thing we cannot lose is our first love - our football club!
  2. London to Newcastle is easy followed by short metro to Sunderland. About time us London fans had easy trips, every game is away game.
  3. The fact that City are a mid/lower table makes it crazy that they thought Nige was underdelivering, especially with the lack of funds for majority of his tenure. They should have kept faith, it wasn’t bad, it was decimated by injuries. Plymouth, Swansea, even Stoke at home despite the result were excellent performances and dare I say entertaining.
  4. It’s costing more than weekend to Marbella, Ocean Club or Bristol City Football Club…..what a mistake!
  5. I have booked Friday and Sunday train from London to Newcastle so hopefully that is ok.
  6. Which makes all this PL PR talk from the board rather tedious. Do something different! It is very boring.
  7. This is such a myth! Tinnion is not the one who does well with the academy.
  8. Wouldn’t it be great if our owner could go on the show. Tell us what he thinks, haven’t heard at all from SL all season.
  9. I would LOVE it! And the football would be better to watch, this football style if Neil’s is a myth. His QPR side who won the league were one of best sides I’ve seen at this level.
  10. Was at QPR and stunned by fans singing for Manning. At the time I could see this was going to be a disaster, it was dreadful and players looked confused. Remember have a few disagreements with fans on the day.
  11. Lucky he got the Swansea result as he would have been sacked by now surely. Even though Swans was equally as bad performance wise. So difficult to know what is best, lose a couple more so he goes but then risk is they don’t sack him and the drama goes on and on. I personally think sack him now and admit to the fans it hasn’t worked and apologise. Think the fans would respect that more.
  12. I was led to believe Ashton proposed Warnock who wanted the job. Nige too….if only.
  13. Maybe this was Tinnion’s grand plan all along…..return to the hot seat.
  14. This deserves a catching title thread so SL and BT read it (I am sure both come on here still). Best SOTC in a long time, two excellent people in JP and GO, have them on each week please. Clear as day they see through Manning. Know someone linked to Palace and was raving about Alexander, couldn’t believe we moved him on.
  15. Sorry but I think it is. We didn’t lose too many under Tony.
  16. I agree Dave, I think the issue here is Manning is not the right fit nor is he up to the task.
  17. You have to be ambitious in life, the board believe we are aiming for the Premier League, back it up. I don’t think it’s unrealistic personally. I am not saying Farke is.
  18. Has a soft spot for us with that loan spell, SL rates him, it’s not like they are a parachute team or he will get them top six. I don’t think this is unrealistic if we are ambitious to back up the board PL talk.
  19. The one SL has always allegedly admired, time for a change from Coventry this summer apparently. Let’s show some ambition and go for a proven leader at this level, Manning should be sacked now and King take charge to end of season leaving time for an ambitious appointment. Wouldn’t that be lovely if something like this to happen in BS3! Current situation is not healthy for the club.
  20. My family are Arsenal season ticket holders and believe me were begging people to take tickets until the last couple of years. Arsenal fans dislike Wenger these days, totally blame him for years of failure and running the club as a CEO, not manager. The atmosphere there now is electric, North London Forever as a song which premiered on All or Nothing from Arteta, has become their YNWA. Something special going on there and they will for me dominate English football again with the quality they have and age of squad but mainly togetherness of fans, management.
  21. Let’s hope so then as short term pain for long term gain. I cannot bear another season of this, Manning ball is worse than Pulis and SOD combined!
  22. Reading fans miss John Madjeski but I think we’ve all seen enough now of poor football decisions. Something has to change, the fan relation with club seems broken.
  23. Sums up the issue. Who is the real manager? It’s 2004 all over again. Both must go, but Tinnion being in that role means whoever we appoint will not be the required level. If you really loved this club of 30 years as you say Brian please step down and the fans will again show our respect for your playing career.
