as a pearson lover,i will be the first to go and say 'well done Liam, from cov, leeds, boro and saints, i didnt see us getting a single point, to have 4 on the board and a great performance at forest in the bank deserves credit so there it is. Well done.

If you want to compare Nigel Pearson With Alex Ferguson that's fine. I was making the point that NP did barely any coaching, it was not a criticism, merely an observation
surely thats because he was a manager, not a head coach. if im not mistaken, Euell was our head coach and he was on the grass coaching.
So yes, your observation was right but to make it fair, how much time is tinnion now spending on the grass as he has effectively taken over Nigels job, at least thats how i understand the changes made.

Are we on the right track?
Why will we definitely get there ?
Until Lansdown sells the controlling stake in the club, interference, nepotism and cronyism will continue.
On that basis, I just want to avoid relegation until the club is run properly.
Clubs that overtake us are usually better managed.
i read that as interference, nepotism and CRAYONISM , had a chuckle to myself thinking what a clever insult then read it again oops

This 'build it and they will come' fantasy.
From their forum:-
........there is a lot of gas support out there and not just in Bristol, I’ve seen far more gas shirts in Wiltshire than city ones.
I have lived in Wiltshire for 59 years. I cannot recall ever seeing a Rovers shirt in Wiltshire.
It is mostly Bath rugby shirts, the odd City shirt, the odd Swindon shirt (only in the Swindon area), plus of course the usual PL team shirts in the age groups where winning a trophy makes for playground bragging rights.
its because he looks at his own dusty shirt hanging in the wardrobe and is too fugly to venture outside and the fear of being mistaken for the elephant man

They have! I expect it from Jon and his lackies!
However what I have found most bemusing is the compliance of our supporters to the club hierarchy’s idiocy and supporter acceptance of the utter disdain they are treated to. This can be seen in the stands, and throughout the various media, written and broadcast! For instance Someone soon has to not be an apologist on Sound of the City, that would be a start. A bit of passion and anger would help everyone! As would begging Twentyman to take his old job back!
All the time The head slappers on here continue to ignore the garbage in front of them and make excuses for ineptitude our inabilities will continue!
44 years of failure and counting, a life time gone for so many and our supporters on the whole still don’t get it. We are part of the problem/failure!!
tinnion would shit himself if GT came back

Couldn’t agree more. Fine to argue about whether or not Pearson/Rennie/James/King were getting the job done, but having some folk around with PL experience seems likely to be helpful! And King isn’t a fancy dan, his unique record of L1/Championship/PL winning with the same club says to me that giving up that unique experience is foolhardy, particularly given he’s a City fan as well. Also agree he’s going, but think it’s a poor decision.
whos to say that King would buy into tinnions philosophies anyway, he might not enjoy being around anymore

Time will tell as Manning is here unless relegation is a real danger in the seasons to come. The Lansdowns dont acknowledge failiure easily do they.
weird innit, they dont like good successful ones either

thanks Dave, i was going to say it but in not such a diplomatic way as the dog bit didnt enter my mind.
fwiw, i believe Nigel would have continued to manage the team quite effectively if they were worried about him not being there due to health reasons, he had quality coaches etc in place doing the hard yards, he was the one piecing it all together keeping a close eye on everything. I read an article once where he said it wasnt his way of managing to be in everyones face every day, only when he thought it necessary, i think that is where the togetherness stems from that BT and JL have destroyed

The thing is, performances usually align to results. Not always but it often happens.
By which I mean the 2 can catch up..If a side are riding their luck but results are strong the two will often eventually align and perhaps over correct.
Vice versa if playing well but results poor to mediocre.
Problem is here, it's hard to know exactly where we are at..performances have been varied, results have been varied under Manning. For Coventry and Watford away, we have Millwall and Norwich at home.

Might look prettier than the old 'megastore' but nowhere near as good! Surprised the club/ BS Group don't have another small outlet in Broadmead all year round
absolutely this, my uncle would regularly take me in there and we would both buy something just because we were there.ive probably got 10 -15 different scarves over the years. home shirt start of season and then the away one or 3rd kit when they were half price. those were the days

id love it if williams would shank more shots like the one that landed for Andi that time,it was a thing of beauty

lets face it, any away fans that went to that dump last season wouldnt be in any hurry to get another dose would they. after seeing that hospitality pisser, i wouldnt even touch anything outside the gates, let alone anything in it. can only see their gates decreasing the longer they stay in league one
