I know I am going to get shot down. Don’t care. Just love the Club and want the best for it. Clearly not going to happen. Best manager we have employed since Alan Dicks in terms of understanding what’s required to get promoted and what awaits should we ever achieve this. If Pearson can’t come back as Director of football.   We all know  the club don’t want him and he would tell us where to go   So the question is who could we appoint that could do this job?

any manager with enough experience would know how to contact Nige and ask what its like down here.  given the fact that Nige isnt a liar,, any such new bloke would have to absolutely love bcfc ie warnock or be skint

O'Leary, Vyner and Pring although not that category, all stepped up further under NP- also saving us tbe need to go into the market again.

I know they are a bit older but Vyner went from heading out the door summer 2022 or possibly anyway, to Players Player of the Season 9 months on.

and he did it largely by trusting his staff and not interfering,

As ever when we lose a game badly, this forum is a pretty depressing read. People with agendas spouting nonsense, largely on the ‘pro-Manning’ side if I may say. He was brought in to work with what we have and he was brought in to improve this current squad and, a couple of excellent performances aside, he really hasn’t done that in my opinion. The inconsistency gap between our good performances and our poor ones is way more pronounced now than it ever was in the latter days of Nige’s reign. Also, after all his bleating about the program and lack of time ‘on the grass’ for us to turn in a performance like that yesterday is a real worry.

The way people revise history and don’t acknowledge the situation Pearson took over when comparing the two really does blow my mind as well. Manning came in to a club with some decent players, crucially who were returning from injury at the time…. There’s no excuse for the ups and downs we’re currently seeing imo and overall I’ve found Manning really underwhelming.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again here. Everything about this club is mid table at the moment, but the lack of nous and proven experience at the top end of the club really worries me and we could so easily end up being in trouble next season or the one after if this stays the same. The most likely way we get out this division will be to get relegated when this happens, not with the promotion that our ‘board’ like to keep talking about when season tickets are up for renewal. It’s so boring to be going through this whole doom cycle again.

when nige came in, he was given a rusty chassis,a pile of parts, some rotten tyres and an engine that didnt run. took him 2 years to rebuild it using second hand parts and some new wheels. all it needed was the shiny paint job to finish it. he managed to get it primed so it didnt rust again but couldnt afford the top coat.

unfortunately,he couldnt drive it for a little while so city got a new driver who had just passed his test, knows his highway code but no experience in judging the length and width of it so slowly it is getting knocked and bumped, the trackings out and no real mechanic on board should it break down,

only a matter of time before it gets consigned to the scrap heap again.

You know what, if they sacked him and came out and said they got it wrong and that they took full accountability for it (like the Sunderland owner did) then that would go a long way.

Just digging in trying to save face whilst the damage gets worse does them no good.

you know it and i know it, digging in is what will happen, so long as manning sucks tinnion and tinnion sucks jon,,alls rosey at HQ.

fwiw,i think some recent performances may be down to players wanting away or something. why bother trying to sell yourself to anyone watching us against s weds or qpr,  tear saints a new one or match forest, you will get noticed.

if they have any ambition, they will know prem football isnt coming their way anytime soon if they stay here now whereas 5 months ago, there was every chance of success on the horizon

Who gives a shite?!  No disrespect intended.

    1. Anyone reckon the latest lansdown puppet coach can get Twine to make the difference even if he was fit??? No, me neither.

And 2. I'll wager a pound to a penny we won't splash the cash to sign him anyway.

So he's irrelevant. Good player we had the chance to sign years ago and now won't.

Burnley are relegated. So they'll want the sort of money that shows the Lansdowns for what they are - the sort of naive Forest Gumps that can be fooled into paying 8 million quid for a centre half who almost single handedly kept us in this division (love you Tomas!) but who won't pay 4 million quid for the sort of attacker who might just get us promoted.

    Idiots.

Just retire to Westbury cricket club and take your useless boy with you Lansdown, ffs.

Edit, I guess that's Guernsey cricket club three days. Or golf club.

    Whatever.

We see you for what you are - well meaning... but clueless. Just like everyone else who's ever held the reins at BCFC.

brilliant post, now go read your DM i sent you👍 please.

That is where we are. SL is happy with his other hobbies. JL is the man in the seat now. Any statement from him is going to come across as the dreaded “complete backing of the board”. I expect nothing until he has to fire the bloke!

and that could take as long as LJ if they like him, probs best to find another hobby for 12months and pop back next year see where we are rather than travelling a million miles to watch that shite

  8. it hasnt taken long to show hes out of his depth has it. i didnt see the game but enough trusted posters have to convince me we are going backwards very quickly.didnt think it would work at the start and even more convinced now. not mentioning the previous regime, thats been done to death but we really need a team of experienced leaders and that includes tinnion going aswell

Yep agree with all of that fella.

We'd run through brick walls for Pearson - as would his players.

Replace the word Pearson with the word Jordan or Cotterill and you end up with the same result - an army on the march. Not often that happens in BS3 and we always fock it up.

    you have a dm/ pm 👍

  10. how a bloke of that size could dance through multiple players still baffles me, when he thought he could do something, he did,to great effect. saved his energy not chasing lost causes, anyone trying sneaky fouls to stop him usually came off second best. most talented player ive seen for years and so lucky to have been at the gas game.

both he and joe bryan were my favourite players of that era for other reasons so that night was just magic

and he always looked like he was wearing a kiddies kit🤣

I’ve got a mate who is referred to as Sexy Fingers…… as everything he touches he f  ks up!

i nicknamed our last trainee mechanic amoco cadiz because he kept forgetting to put sump bungs back in before refilling the engines with oil.

he didnt have a clue what it meant

They only 'communicate' when they try to instill a positive 'spin' on their frankly ridiculous actions.

They don't like the supporters questioning them any more than a manager.

that was one of NPs biggest plusses for me.he understands fans feelings and did try to answer anything he could and honestly too.

his interviews completely changed over the time with us and he got more relaxed as time went on
