  1. Think there’s a bit more to it on this particular incident though to be fair. COYR
  2. He is a class act & great to hear that response from our fans, I wasn’t aware of that watching it on the red button. What he went through while on loan here pales into insignificance anything else. I know he holds this club very fondly & it was great to see him hold back from celebrating ( as much as some don’t like this ), I believe in recognition of off the field stuff, as much as on it. Was class from the moment he walked into the building with a bin bag full of his gear. Cannot help but like him. COYR
  3. Exactly this, I think Nige has actually said recently ‘ Andi knows what he’s good at & he knows what he isn’t so good at “. COYR
  4. As I said, a good player at this level. It was a good goal, great movement/anticipation. But for every great moment of finesse/ technique you can probably find another 3 not so good. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy he’s here, he’d be in my starting eleven. But he is what he is. COYR
  5. Reality is, no better or worse than he was before today’s match. A good player at this level, who works extremely hard. He is an important cog in our team currently & probably a great example to those youngsters around him & coming through. But not a player of finesse or technique, simple as that really. COYR
  6. Ask Steve Copper, he put in a complaint before a game last season at Swansea & it was rebuffed. The referee then disallowed a late goal by our very own Kasey Palmer to rub salt in the wounds! Copper is not a fan! COYR
  7. Did we? Or did we keep going to the final whistle, got last minute winners or score late to get a draw? That team was organised at the very least., this current lot, not so. Performance is key for me, yes obviously points are what you are after, but performance is a better barometer of where we are & that’s the bit that concerns me. We are poor at the basics & that hasn’t improved consistently in the last 23 or 46 games. This squad should be comfortably lower mid table, not relieved other clubs are getting docked points! COYR
  8. Exactly, nothing from what I have seen. All in all, a bit of a strange thing to put out. But I think it’s just a case of ‘ I’m still around ‘ type thing in all honesty. COYR
  9. It’s in code, but only a few of us have seemingly broke the code at this point. COYR
  10. Is this a suggestion? Would there be work permit issues? Any resale value in the future? COYR
  11. Never let anything on here surprise you! COYR
  12. Although I tend to agree, I guess there would be a few City fans at least thinking about walking if Holloway was in charge & Rovers were winning 0-2 after twenty minutes! Unthinkable as that is. COYR
  13. But he has said in the media that he has told these players. Why do you think he made that comment to the media? If it’s obvious who he was talking about, which it seemingly is, is that any different to calling them out? Is it not worse for the collective? Does his comments about ‘ players not doing what we have worked on ‘ deflect from himself? Would these comments of been picked up on a lot quicker if they were said by another manager? COYR
  14. Called people out or commented on bleeding obvious mistakes/performances? Is it not worse to create this ‘ is it him or is it him ‘ nonsense we are currently experiencing? What is the difference if as you say ‘ it’s just become obvious who they are ‘, rather than just saying it. COYR
  15. I took it differently, for me he said that if you are not in form & are picked, it will be a test of your moral fibre. Because that’s where we are, as in, we haven’t got many options. On a slightly different note, do we think these comments are helpful? Like the ‘ luxury players’ comments? Does it add to the uncertainty, the whispers, the theories? Seem to remember a lot on here not liking previous managers ‘ throwing people under the bus’, yet like Nige for his honesty! Just a thought. COYR
  16. Well, Odemwingie was at the Barnsley match, so watch this space! COYR
  17. Both played well. But Benarous in particular impresses me. A real swagger, a confidence in his ability on the ball, happy to hand out some stick, ball manipulation in tight areas, has time on the ball & knows how to draw a foul when we needed a breather. Really impressed & I have high hopes for him in particular. COYR
  18. I often check in on previous players & managers. Especially those that I liked or rated. Currently keep an eye on LJ, Cotts, Brownhill, Patterson, Smith, Pack, Morrell, Tammy, Fammy & maybe a few ive forgotten. Nothing too in-depth, but a passing interest. Maybe I need to get another hobby! Is it any different to a previous player keeping an eye on City’s results? COYR
  19. Didn’t the smaller teams use to be able to ask the tie to be reversed, so they could play at a bigger/better stadium? Just a thought! COYR
  20. Did notice that comment, personally would of had us down between 8th - 12th at a quick glimpse at the league. Plus I thought it was said that wages has been cut by about 30% this season. We must of been paying top two level last season! COYR
  21. He always has liked us & has often spoken about City in good terms. I actually like him, he’s a good listen with at least some sense of humour. He’s good at what he does, whether you like what he does is a different matter. COYR
  22. I think your correct. The performances have been poor consistently or 90 minutes consistency has been poor, whichever you prefer really. I think it was O’driscoll who use to talk about performance ahead of results, because he knew that sooner or later bad performances would catch up with you & I think that’s what we’re seeing now. But at the time I seem to recall a lot of fans ridiculing him for that thought process, because it was all about the result. Good football man is O’driscoll, just misunderstood. COYR
