City sign a player and you suggest the player would want to cancel the deal to play for another club, no melt(to use your term) not remotely anti city at all is it. I watched the clip and thought looks like a good player for next season but you had to view it negatively just sums up your attitude towards the club as I said go away and do something else you won't be missed.
I will, I will watch City like I have always.
Your opinion is your opinion. You are entitled to it as I am mine. I never said he would cancel, just that I would not be surprised if somehow he stayed at Derby.
Thats not anti City but you feel free to slag me off.

Yes he’s a Bristol City player that was signed for over £1m who has been loaned to Derby. He can’t just cancel his contract with City.
Correct however, if Max felt that he made a mistake signing for City now that Derby have been promoted (bearing in mind they could probably pay more) and he started being difficult ( Im not saying he will) then things can change if the club/Manning decided its not worth the hassle.

Very good performance. Hopefully we can end strong and improve in the summer.
If we can play like that most week, I feel most fans would be happy.- 1

She is clearly no better or worse than most referees but people like to push agendas nowadays,if the ref was Dave from Dundee then the OP wouldn’t be starting a thread
I'm pretty sure I started one earlier in the season about a male ref having a good game. No agenda from me.

No, not the team. The ref. I thought she pretty much got every call correct.
She was certainly one of the best we have had this season.

How about now, @BS3_RED
I stand by it. Just because we have bad results dont mean I have changed my view. I will leave that to half the idiots on here who change their view result by result.

You are not the right fit to be a supporter of Bristol City in my opinion and should watch another Bristol based football team.

This is a bit of incoherent are you saying we should be promoted because Luton got up? Ipswich have gambled and are falling away my bet is they end up in the playoffs if they're lucky in May.
I've never said we should be promoted.
I've clearly said that we are not good enough to be top 6 but from the boards perspective they see teams like luton, Ipswich, Millwall last season etc doing well and think that we should be there as well.

If you have read the comments more in depth you will realise it's not just Manning but more around what he has had to inherit. OK good cup run that gets us all soft and loving feelings, but the performances are inconsistent in the league. If we string a good run together and by easter we are only 2 or3 points out of the top six, then those negative comments will disappear from the forum.
The poor guy has to work with what he has got on hand, and to be fair he is doing quite a good job. We all know that the transfer time in January did not bring great results. I do not know if you can blame this on Manning, but I suspect the board are responsible for this.
I suggest let's sit back and see what eventuates over the next 6 to 8 matches as if we can get 4 x wins out of these and the odd draw we will be in with a shout.
Agree
Look at the Leeds game last week. Leeds played us off the park yes but their squad is worth 4 or 5 times ours with players that are Prem quality and currently playing very well. The amount of flack that was aimed at Mannjng was a joke imo. Some of our fans have such a sense if entitlement and lack the ability to reason.

Surely you can see that this is the main gripe many people had with the decision? We were in touch with the top 6 when Pearson was sacked.
Ive never been angry with Manning, I really want him to do well. My issue was with the timing and the fact that Pearson could’ve been backed more in the Summer after the sale of Scott.
I can guarantee you that every City fan unhappy with the way Pearson was treated still wants Manning to succeed. No City fan wants City to lose.
Yes we were but we never imo looked like a team that could get top 6 even without the injuries. The table is a weird one this season with the top 4 miles ahead and then a lot of average teams fighting it out for the last spots.

He's generally been given the benefit of the doubt, but he's not beyond criticism.
Maybe you're conflating general distain for the hierarchy over the sacking of Pearson with criticism of Manning. For example ripping a performance as not top six is not a dig at Manning it's aimed at the hierarchy.
Like I've said previously, I would not have sacked NP when they did ( plenty of times over the last couple of seasons I might have done).
I think those in charge have a completely different view of our squad than we do. However I would not say Luton or Ipswich have better teams or squads than us this season and last season and a few of the other teams that made the play offs were at best the same level of ability as us.

Back from Middlesbrough, and check in here expecting to find some happiness and some positivity after a great day…and what do I find? Just two new post match threads: one seemingly designed to provoke an argument, and the other headed “…..But”
Come on.
We’ve got a result no-one really expected for the second time in 4 days. We’ve romped to a two goal lead playing some great football, and then defended that lead successfully, only conceding one lucky-ish goal in injury time. We’ve done that after playing 120 minutes at a PL side only 4 days earlier, whilst Middlesbrough had a free week.
And, R####s lost at home.
Let’s just celebrate. Well done lads!
(And thanks @Olé for bringing a bit of positivity!)
It does feel like some don't want City to win as it goes against their poor perception of Manning and the club.
It's like City losing justifies their opinion and so they must find negatives if we do well to counter the win/performance.
