  1. Impressive site, in particular the out of town options
  2. https://www.givemesport.com/why-ireland-would-be-better-to-lose-to-netherlands-in-bid-to-qualify-for-euro-2024/ the players should never have been put in this position
  3. I had the same thought, when play is waved on, the player who commits a yellow card offence tends (not always but is more likely) to escape punishment, especially if the move ends in a goal.
  4. Sorry, I could have been clearer. A delay caused by the game finishing late, such as at WBA where there were multiple delays (serious medical incidents involving away/home fans and the Baker injury). Not the rail company responsibility
  5. Was considering the train. If you buy a train split ticket and there are delays (think WBA away a couple of years back) causing you to miss the train that was booked, so you need to buy another ticket?
  6. I will also visit the memorial garden. There are some attractive topiary sculptures; a Leicester City fox, an elephant and a polo pony, each with a close connection to Vichai
  7. Showing as sold out again, some ? 200 tickets were available to the early bird members
  8. He has earned the right to make the move he chooses, no one in the history of the club has poured money in to support their passion like he has. I thank him for everything he has done to date and hope for the best going forward. Things could always be better but I feel for those fans who have to live with the reality that their owners don’t wake up wanting nothing more than success for the club they love.
  9. SL is passionate about the club, be careful what you wish for. I trust him to act in the best interests of the club. Like so many others on this forum, when he wakes up tomorrow the City result is the first thing on his mind. Compare with other owners.
  10. Bottom 8 with one or no points all from Yorkshire, North East or Wales. Hull from East Riding of Yorkshire have won a game against Sheff W
  11. Head to head according to the Official Site, We have beaten Millwall 37 times. Millwall have lost to us 27 times.

    Tommy Conway

Overheard at Goodison in the 80s. “That was an unbelievable Joan Collins” the humour went over my head so I had to check with my mate, a Joan Collins = a bad miss
  13. I have wondered whether, when announcing the teams, if they could say “and back at Ashton Gate” for ex city players and something different, perhaps “and back in Bristol” for the former gas players. I rarely forget the ex City players but I lose track of those that played for the blue few.
  14. I would like to see the line ups and squad numbers on the big screen from time to time during the match. Not everyone has a programme to hand. Also they can signal who is on a yellow card and who has scored the goals.
  15. Club OS shows us playing Preston away on both 12 Aug and 13 Jan, I assume yours is correct and we are indeed at Millwall on 12 August
  16. Sunday Times report that there were 31,000 in Ashton Gate “the division’s best stadium” for the Bristol Gloucester rugby fixture yesterday. How many seats are there in the stadium? 25,713 were at the sold out Man City FA Cup tie. There was some segregation but I don’t recall 5,300 unused seats.
  17. Also for the end of each half (including extra time) I thought
  18. Any tips for the best free parking walking distance from the ground, we are heading south on the M1 after the game? My last trip was on a Saturday and I don’t remember residents parking permits near the ground.
  19. Whoops… Times was right, it said quarter final, I think that makes it worse
  20. No encouragement from the stat in today's Times newspaper. Fewest FA Cup semi final appearances since competition's revamp in 1925 among regulars* in top two tiers Bristol City 1 Cardiff 3 Swansea 5 Charlton, Coventry, Blackpool, QPR, Hull 6 * at least 45 seasons in the top two divisions in that period Who knows? maybe, like with penalties, our barren streak will end and we will make up for lost time and start clocking up Wembley visits
  21. or 3 points. One at Sunderland, two today. Our precious penalty was in a 3-2 defeat at Coventry so no points gained from that one.
  22. I have the coverage but it is screen in screen. Is there a way to get full scree
