I don’t know if it’s different for normal tickets but for season tickets you log in, go to tickets, click on the ticket, then click forward ticket, then fill in the details

Was that the season a young Michael Owen scored for Liverpool at Ashton Gate in a pre season friendly.
No, that was much later, around 1996 at a guess.

17 goals conceded in those 5 games too!
Yes and then we went on a decent run.
Terry Cooper was manager and he had certainly earned the right to have a bad spell without fearing the sack

I’ve a vague memory of us losing our first 5 games, that may have included league cup, in 1985.
I was young and travelling around Europe desperately trying to find our scores out, usually the next day sneaking a peek at a newspaper and I’m sure they were always defeats.
The day we arrived home we won our first game of the season.
This was the season, one was a league cup match

Didn’t we have really good preseason too?
I’ve a memory of drawing with Liverpool or Man Utd, can’t remember now and finished top 10 but no promotion ?

I vaguely remember City not winning any of the first 7 matches. Can’t recal who the manager was tho.

Odd time to sack him. I presume they did it right now with 2 winnable home games coming up this week, including home to Fleetwood for a place in the 4th round of the league cup.
It would be difficult to sack him for a while if they won both of those. A bit like when Nige got the bullet, if they’ve made their minds up grab the first opportunity.

Top bloke and will always be fondly remembered.
Obviously I hope he doesn’t score on Saturday but I’ve no problem him celebrating in front of the Blackburn fans it if he does.

Norman Wisdom also made a film here in Teignmouth, Press for time. Please don’t call in on your way to Blackburn though.
If you’re lucky and I remember I’ll go into more detail on New Year’s Day and Plymouth (a)

A little known fact is that the town of Blackburn is named after former Radio 1 DJ Tony Blackburn who was presented the Radio 1 summer roadshow from there
Radio one roadshows were always beach resorts. I was fully onboard with your story until I got to that part!

I was at Wembley when Kalas played, had a bit of a nightmare as they got thrashed and he put past his own keeper
Former player Adan Nagy has played against us in recent times

Question is why do you feel you need to say "Thank you"?
Yes I did, it was massively over crowded by Thankfully on the way up at least there were more than the usual 4 coaches
But what relevance is a story about Shearer using a train got with us going to Derby?
I think the relevance is, it’s a thread about our fans going to a football match by train and a story about football fan’s going to a football match by train, involving Alan Shearer.
You can always just ignore it if it’s not your thing.

I remember that Liverpool game, I had been optimistically hoping the pattern of results in our time in the top flight would continue.
In our 4 top flight years we matched Liverpool in the first 3 seasons to the exact score.
First season lost 2-1 away won 2-1 home. Second season drew 1-1 away and home. Third season lost 1-0 away won 1-0 at home.
Sadly in our final season we lost 4-0 away so it was unlikely we’d match that and indeed Dalglish and the rest including that goal of the season from Kennedy beat us easily and the pattern was broken.

At Senior Reds, @Galley is our king may have said It iirc, Tinnion said Top 10 and improvement.
That was I think prior to the last fortnight though, unsure how that has moved the dial but some expectation has surely increased.
He said we should be challenging for promotion when Nige left, so surely now he should have us challenging for automatic promotion!

I’m sure if Jon and BT were answering this question they’d be saying top 6.
I’m hoping for the same but expecting a little lower

Nige and Gould paved the way for this summer of spending, a good time to remember their great work as we support the new manager
He was at the cricket in Taunton yesterday, if I see him there today I might ask his thoughts on all the spending at the club this summer.
Or, I might just let him enjoy the cricket

I would have definitely bought that copy of Shoot as I took it every week in those days. Very different days when a Bristol City mention in national media of any kind was exciting.
Good to see him picking someone different like Susan George as from memory most weeks they’d pick Muhammad Ali.

At least they’ve got some stock to misspell.

I called into the shop on Saturday and I know I shouldn’t be surprised but it’s got even worse. Just embarrassing as is the online shop.
The reason I popped in was I’d seen a couple of fans outside wearing some nice gear, one with a custom shirt and one with a lovely bucket hat in goalkeeper kit colours. Of course these were nowhere to be seen in the shop.
Has someone started their own City merchandise range that I don’t know about?
-
Yes they’ll be taken to Derby and then usually taken to wherever Derby’s ticket collection point is, they won’t be there until the Cats coaches have arrived though.

Ah great news. Think I saw Alan Walsh, definitely Geoff Merrick and another who's name escapes me ..tall chap from same era.
David Rogers? He’s usually there.

I got to know a few former players, Geoff Merrick, Brian Drysdale, Alan Walsh fairly well when I lived in Bristol but last year, despite seeing him around quite a bit, was the first time I’d chatted to Tom Ritchie.
I must say I thoroughly enjoyed our chat. We were chatting about certain big games back in the day from Arsenal away to Rovers in the cup at Eastville.
We were reminiscing like two excited fans, the only difference he played in all the games while I was idolising him from the stands. Great bloke.

Maybe a repeat of the Stoke situation.
Schumacher went to his old club Plymouth and won, a couple of games later he’s gone.
I have a feeling we’ll win this, as for whether we can halt the slump in form and make it a convincing win, dunno!
