So….why the MASS exodus of fans (a) when Huddersfield scored (b) on 85 mins?? I hate it when fans leave early at the best of times but that was embarrassing today. We have been on a good run of late and I know things are petering out to another season of mid-tableness but hey…fair enough if we’re losing 3-0 or similar! I’d like to know how many City fans saw Nahki’s penalty scored as we fought regardless of performance to get on level terms.
I didn’t notice any exodus to be honest.

She is clearly no better or worse than most referees but people like to push agendas nowadays,if the ref was Dave from Dundee then the OP wouldn’t be starting a thread
That’s not necessarily true. After nearly every match there will be a thread discussing the ref’s performance.
it’s a novelty to have a female ref, the more often it happens people won’t notice. *I say that but if one makes a howler the usual cliched jibes aimed towards females will start no doubt!- 3

Thought she was good. Would like to see more female refs and officials. Only if they merit it of course. If they’re bad they’ll soon get found out like any male ref.

Huddersfield fans not too confident:
Our only hope is that Bristol City are on the beach.
Problem is that Town are so accommodating that even if they are on beach, we'd be rubbing sun cream on their backs and bringing them pina coladas.Ooh yummy,

On the NX040. No idea why I booked the earlier coach, a trip to Lidl Broadmead awaits

I listened to football on radio when a little boy and I know it may sound weird to many of you younger ones, but, so long as the commentator is good, it's good to listen. And also if the co commentator is someone like Gary Owers, one gets a rounded view of the game.
I love listening to Radio commentary. Especially G.O.

What is Jack Grealish doing advertising Bovril at Bristol City
The longer version is funnier, trying to get their oversea's players to try it

We had 5 games moved this season from 3pm Saturday. Only 1 was due to Sky..
well will be different next season. And no Monday nights

Very true, and I am sure the vast majority of EFL clubs will be feeling just like you have written above
Sadly I guess the £2.5m makes owners happier than seeing the money taken in with bigger crowds
As for POTD pricing, that has been raised with the club. . . . .
I agree,
I am sure someone can answer this but I wouldn't imagine that we had that many 3pm Saturday kick offs this season anyway
The only thing, this is not unique to us or even within any control of our club, this is all down to the EFL / Sky TV
We both know that it is a long time since those that count the pennies gave a shit about supporters
12 at a rough count

A little bit I can add, the club are still waiting for confirmation on how the new kick off days and times will impact us, but we are set to get an additional £2.5m from the deal - which clearly makes up for lost attendances
But the assumption is a side will be live at least 20 times over the season
What about the fans? How does it compensate for the stupid KO times?

FA Cup or League / Carabao Cup? For FA Cup they’ll still have their same calendar.
yes but what if a game is moved to Monday night how will that impact cup games?

No impact, completely different tv deal.
The Carabao Cup, every game will be streamed, which is a huge improvement imho.
it will impact fixtures though. I don't give a shit about the TV

Correct. How they approach the second half of the season’s fixture I dunno, but you’d imagine they’d want to do something more proactive / more notice than the current “diary”, as the impact of changes could be greater.
E.g. Assuming they had a Monday night slot, they could schedule all of those well in advance but leave the other slots to a bit nearer the time.
how will it impact FA Cup games etc?

Sure it was posted on here that once Sky have got their mitts on the fixture list, the games will be selected until January.
At which point, you would expect them to pick games based on form/goals/playoffs.
Obviously the moment the rains starts to fall and games get postponed this could all go out the window.
I'm hoping Leeds are on every week (if they don't get promoted).
It's not just about me travelling to games, it's about having to have 12:30pm KOs on either Saturday or Sunday, or 8pm KOs, with fans having to travel to other ends of the country on public transport etc.

It’s the knock on impact tbh. Base level game we make more money - but there will be lost revenue as less people attend each game.
On the ST thread a few people made the point they’d see how the new deal impacted the number of games they could attend and that may impact their decision in 25/26. I don’t think therefore we’ll see the net impact until the season after next as that’ll show how many attendees we’re losing (and subsequent ticket/match day income) - noting that’s not binary and a promotion challenge next year would drive renewals even if ST holders could attend less games.
The counterbalance here is that Saturday workers and “Downs League” players may be able to attend more games. I’d hope the club are looking at innovative ticket ideas to tap into that.
Yes, I suppose it depends when the SKY schedule is published, how far in advance they will change KO times. At the moment there seems to be a total disregard of fans and how they can actually attend games.

I remember one Monday night game but then I'm fortunate to life relatively close to AG less than an hour walk each way).
Crystal Palace under GJ. Warnock was not best pleased at how that one ended of course..
I'm sure a lot of kids won't coming on a school night.
Too complicated for me to come on a Monday night, and possibly a Friday night.
I just wished they'd leave the **** alone.

This deal with Sky for what a £2-2.5m increase for a typical Championship club
Less possible disruption and hits to Gate Receipts with the whole kick-off times being here, there and everywhere.
Less revenue from club T.V. channels.
Maybe the costs outweigh the benefits but a Cost-Benefit Analysis would be interesting..on the other hand, in theory (although IPTV etc) no domestic streaming means it can incentivise fans showing up a bit more.
Not if it's a Monday night! *******

“Stop gloating and just enjoy the win” is something I read a lot on here but it doesn’t really make any sense does it ? Why would one be exclusive of the other?
People here post their opinions in a public space, some of which are very partisan. They shouldn’t then be upset when those opinions are scrutinised by others, particularly when in hindsight, they may appear to have been reactionary.
I find those kinds of posts really irritating. I think people mistake 'negativity' for constructive criticism.
I don't really understand why people care that other people have voiced a different opinion. So what! The virtual punch up / name calling / nah nah nah is just silly.

I know. They forget I want City to do well. LM doing well achieves that.
And I’ve stated several times that if he does succeed, that’s great too. The only thing I’ve added is that it would be good to understand what changed (assuming he does well):
- nothing changed - I got it wrong / misjudged him
- we threw money at him
- he changed
- etc
It’s no big deal if I got it wrong. Seems a big deal for others!
Remember I’m the guy who said we should sign Cauley Woodrow, and took the flak when he didn’t do very well here (didn't get much opportunity either!). It was a bit of a standing joke! If you put your head above the parapet….
(Although he is playing in the PL, has been to a Championship playoff, etc! )
I'm no expert but Blackburn were horrendous last night. If we're so fabulous why were we only saved from a pasting, by Max at the weekend?
I'm not a negative bedwetter just trying to see the bigger picture.

I don't buy the kits, so I can't comment on quality, but I must say the yellow kit looks cheap. However, I do like the current black kit.
Against Leeds our shorts looked dirty grey and nylony. I did order the black away shirt but returned it because of the quality of the cut and fabric.
I just wish the players looked smarter in their kit, including the warm up stuff and the coaches stuff.
The range is so disjointed with the aqua black training gear that doesn’t ‘fit in’ -
Would love it to not be O’neills. It’s just such poor quality.

Couldnt get to the Gate so Robins TV did the trick. Leroy loves the players and club, particularly Liam. What a great series of opinions about our coach- might be worth that seagul from Weston taking a listen!! I bet a lot of other recent moaners wont be on here tonight.
With a transfer window to come, with Zak our oldest player starting at 26 and with inspired subs like Liam has made tonight i reckon all our season ticket holders will be delighted and encouraging their mates too join up as well for August; it isnt long now. Up the City!
he also loves Nige.
