  1. An expert cardiologist he may be. Qualified to talk about virology he isn't. (Incidentally he also is famous for pushing all kinds of fad diets and claiming vegetarianism is "dangerous") The research abstract Malhotra highlights has been comprehensively trashed in the medical community and it appears to be the work of a fad-diet peddling quack. This blog post highlights the many, many problems with this "research" - not least of which it is utterly unreferenced and data-free: https://zelo-street.blogspot.com/2021/12/gb-news-fake-news.html

  3. RIP Ray. Gone but not to be forgotten.
  4. Didn't check who it was from, just knew it will never be quoted by @Davefevs
  5. Our approach was certainly "throw a lot of mud at the wall and see what sticks". Unfortunately, all it has left us with is a wall covered in crap and a hefty clean-up bill.
  6. That is a pathetically weak line of defence. "He annoyed me".
  7. Hoards = a large stash of things (usually money) Hordes = a large number of people
  8. So they're continuing indefinitely then...
  9. You'd think so, but..... Danny Simpson, to name but one of a number of possible examples.
  10. I have this mental image of Mark Ashton trying to examine prospective signings DNA - with a Fisher-Price chemistry set.
  11. I can't help but to think that Pearson and Fleming urgently need competent, top-class coaching help. We know how this was critical to the Pearson success at Leicester. Ultimately, Sunday showed that the midfield doesn't function without a holding, tackling player. We look a shadow of the side when Williams and/or James are not available.
  12. Cheers for the tip. I will take a stroll around the concourses when next I need food at AG. I had been under the impression that everyone only had the choice of tasteless steak pasties and tasteless cheese & onion pasties that you get in the Dolman. (Seriously, I'd look at changing the supplier for these)
  13. Well I disagree and as the ref did too, you and Michael O'Neil can go take a running one... ??
  14. Hopefully Joe will just miss one game as a precaution. It looked nowhere near as serious as his last injury. Any news on Baker? Is he likely to also be unavailable?
  15. Glad the team were more focussed than that picture!
  16. Which is a big mistake. Look at the series of corners Stoke had. Without an outlet, we just delayed further attacks. We had to wait until their shit inswinging corner that went into touch before getting ourselves out of jail.
  17. Agreed. Basically, he's a pleasure to watch. Providing he keeps focussed, this lad is going to be some player as he gains experience. Actually, scrub that, he's some player now, he could develop to be one hell of a player!
  18. Hasn't been that loud in AG all season. What a lovely feeling it was. Walked out amid a sea of happy faces, chatting to strangers. Forgotten how good that is!
  19. It is the lack of consistency that is so bad. Various Stoke players were allowed to climb all over Chris Martin, yet when O'Dowda did the same to a Stokie to jump for a long ball, it was given as a foul. There are lots of other examples.
  20. James is an automatic starter for me (and I'm sure Pearson), King gives us options.
