Replied to this kind of post once already on the thread, believe me or not, I don't really care.

As for the Hamer press conference, I'm a lot more interested to hear the Twentyman interview apparently happening later. I don't trust EP and Radio Bristol to ask the tough questions that would really bother Hamer (although that Wimbledon comment is an embarrassing own goal) whereas twentyman has shown he may be able to do so.

Id imagine the process will be:

Search of viable new sites for a few months

    No new sites viable.

Plans drawn up for mem redevelopment

    Planning permission failed

    Planning permission granted on appeal

    Wait a few years

Sorry guys it's not getting built.

    Im used to it.

To be fair, in general your lot believe everything your told. Higgs, Wally, dunceford , they've all spun you a web of lies and you just suck it up thinking that's what good supporters do . The reality is a fan base that questions how the clubs being run is a proper fan base , after all they're our clubs and what goes on affects generations of supporters .

    Hi guys!

Firstly, id ignore that above twitter account, it's the single biggest piece of nonsense since us getting a stadium.

Secondly, I've got to be honest I'm quite pleased we aren't moving to UWE. It's definitely another thing for you to take the piss out of, granted, and the non match day revenue is of course needed if we ever really want to push on. That being said, I'm not sure I like the idea of a half full atmosphere void bowl with absolutely nothing good around it for before and after the game. I've been of the idea for a long time it wouldn't happen so nothing has changed in that respect for me. I can't really imagine anything substantial happening for a while.

As for the rest of stuff with the Al Qadis pulling out, who knows? Even from day one i didn't believe in the billionaire hype, there are those that don't believe everything they read, that being said I do think he's improved some stuff off the pitch. If he leaves, we'll he was skint anyway. Honestly, nothing will ever really surprise my with this club.

Oh deary me , like many of you now trying to back track. It's like fancying a girl and when you find out she's seeing someone telling everyone you didn't really like her anyway. You lot are proper mental.

The arrogance of this post is unbelievable. So disrespectful to championship teams. I'm not even including us . Just how big do you think rovers are . Most deluded fan base in football. Thought you come on here for a debate . But no . If u can't debate properly. I suggest u **** off . Back to the rock u crawled from

He just sums them up in a nutshell. Calling our big game reading :rofl2br:reading away would be like the ******* World Cup final to those ******* morons

Its amazing how tiny clubs like barnsley, brentford, bristol city and burton somehow survive in the championship,it must be amazing having your "big day out" at reading every season.

Now the real @bluebutterfly is showing its wings. Bitterness coming out in abundance :rofl2br:, you just walk straight into it don't you.  Reading nice and close but let's try league games I've been away like Aston Villa , Leeds , Newcastle , wolves , Fulham , forest , Birmingham etc etc and too think it's been regular  trips over the last ten years, apart from our blip.

We don't see these as big games now they're regular opponents . Enjoy your trip to fleetwood won't you :rofl2br:

Luckily our new owner is going to change that in the near future.

:rofl2br::rofl2br::rofl2br::rofl2br::rofl2br::rofl2br:at least you got a sense of humour .

as you've listed our clubs underachievements above, can you explain why .

We see us for what we are , one of the smallest clubs in the championship but our history shows it's just about where we've averaged in our history.

Whereas you lot think you're a massive club with a amazing fan base and serious delusions of grandeur. Most of your fan base think you should be in the championship by right but have not actually been in the second tier for a quarter of a century , yep 25 years , but according to you lot you're massive

DC has only really had one offer from a Championship club, and whilst I don't blame Monk for taking the Leeds job (under Cellino at the time) whilst out of work, I wouldn't blame most League 1 managers who would have turned down that opportunity whilst their managerial stock was relatively high, at that point I'd have said even a top L1 club would have been more attractive.

Johnson to City would have been an absolute no brainer for him in that situation.

Thing is though it's pretty obvious he won't be given the budget to compete properly. It won't be long into the season before a championship club sacks their manager and if dopey is still punching above his weight with you he'd be a idiot not to look elsewhere.

  7. Just don't get it do they :laughcont: we are laughing at you @bluebutterfly bigger than Norwich :laughcont: tossing yourselfs off about 3,000 season tickets . Your skint billionaire  that's richer than Lansdown apparently . Being non league , ground falling through , getting beat by bath in the non league cup plus other embarrassing results against non league giants . Open top bus tour for finishing second in non league. Did I mention dropping into non league. It's a piss take thread me old fruit . We know you are the most deluded fan base in football but surely even you lot can see it. Oh by the way , stop making things up about us all the time I feel embarrassed for you .

Today it has been announced that Darrell Clarke has been given a five year contract.

Rovers supporters are ecstatic as they once again fall into the trap of only seeing what they want to see.

The UWE must be going ahead they say instead of considering this might be an intricate ploy to cover up what is happening behind the scenes as the AJIB share price continues to fall and the owners desperately try to extricate themselves from the mess they are in.

What has not been announced is that Dwane Sports Ltd registered a charge against the Memorial Stadium on 31st May 2017.

Why did they do that ?

I'm not the best when it comes to legalities. What does it mean. registering a charge ? Is it for monies owed ? :help:

I wonder if the bloke who had the t-shirts printed has started a pre*-season sale?

*similar to a mid-season sale, only more football related.

The sag who posted the picture on twitter got all defensive when I started laughing at it and calling them tinpot saying they weren't official . Then trying to twist it saying we had t shirts made when coppell came in as manager ( can't remember that)

i had to point out about their wembly t shirts years ago to which he got all pissy again and disappeared

  10. It is truly amazing the amount of delusion on their part , especially the Huddersfield / Barnsley ain't bigger than us they just play in a higher division with a bigger ground. It's like , what have the romans ever done for us sketch.

Just to add they haven't played in the championship for 25 years , just let that sink in , 25 years. Bigger than Norwich though :rofl2br:

1938-39 season, Rovers finished bottom of League Division 3 South. (No Division 4 then). For some reason at the League's AGM, Rovers were re-elected.

    1939 North

Hartlepools FL 38 re-elected to Division Three (North) Accrington Stanley FL 29 re-elected to Division Three (North)
    South Liverpool     LC     5
    Scunthorpe & L Utd  ML     4
    Burton Town         ML     0
    Wigan Athletic      CL     0

    South

Bristol Rovers FL 45 re-elected to Division Three (South) Walsall FL 36 re-elected to Division Three (South)
    Gillingham          SL    15
    Chelmsford City     SL     1
    Colchester United   SL     1

That was the year they went bust as well although they conveniently forget that. The only thing that saved them was the outbreak of WW11 and the football league being cancelled

Let's be honest if the guttering on your house which was being demolished in a couple of years started leaking, would you do a temporary fix costing a £100 or spend £2,000 replacing the whole lot? I could understand it if we were spending on a desso pitch we could dig up and take it with us but to literally throw money down the drains seems odd. Plus we have the new gates and the Pirates portacabins being moved means it doesn't suggest that the UWE will be built anytime soon. I wonder if the club will also look at trying to squeeze more fans into the Mem?

One of the stewards let it slip, v Millwall, that the temporary bar to the rear of the West stand is to be permanently covered and now I read this I can't help but wonder if my hope of a revamped mem could happen as plan B ? 80K on the pitch is all down to DC as he's very unhappy at the pitch, grass length and way it runs. I guess we shall see soon enough.
You know, I just can't imagine our owners spending that amount + the other small but meaningful things, without good reason.

Colin Daniel has been fined by magistrates for polluting the countryside. Waste dumped in a lane by a contractor paid by Daniel, was found to have items that were deemed dangerous to the environment. The waste, which included cardboard boxes, bin liners full of plaster, a delivery box addressed to Daniel and an old football shirt, was fly-tipped on Old Newark Road in Mansfield. Magistrates ordered Daniel to take the majority of the waste to a proper refuse site at his own expense and, imposed a fine of £850, a victim surcharge of £170 and costs totalling £521, after the council were forced to dispose of the shirt at the Sellafield nuclear recycling plant.

  14. Said it before and i'll say it again. They are the most deluded , paranoid fans in world football with a massive feeling of self entitlement. I've got a few gas mates and it's like they live in their own bubble. One even posted on facebook today , celebrating winning the league in 1990. He's obviously forgot what day it is tomorrow :rofl2br: :rofl2br:
