  1. Hopefully someone can help you

If not keep refreshing ticket site from tomorrow morning as sporadically tickets keep coming available - presumably as people return them or media/players family don’t take up allowances or whatever!

Please tell me for what away game is it where we can't wear either the red or yellow shirts?

    Training kits are essential.

There’s definitely been a cock up somewhere mate that’s clear as day. Whether it’s a last minute change of plans etc who knows. You just wouldn’t randomly produce every bit of kit we could possibly need, including 3 keeper kits, various training items, jackets, polo shirts the list goes on and simply neglect the away.

By your logic they may as well of just called the third shirt the away and no one would have cared about waiting for a third as there just wouldn’t have been a rush or need for it. 100% the intention would have been to have the shirts ready by now, promo video released and available for fans to purchase as our only ‘new’ release of the summer. They’ve had one shirt to design since February ffs. I’m not blaming O’Neils as I believe we’ve insisted on whatever change is being made.

Luckily as you mentioned the shirt colour combinations we have mean we won’t need this away shirt with any real promptness, but it’s pretty poor of it isn’t ready ahead of the season.

Is it me or do we have “supply issues” with every kit manufacturer??? What’s the common denominator here…??

Will come out in time I’m sure but IMO we have had a last minute change of heart due to the backlash of the third kit and have now decided against using the splat robin and/or the blue rumoured colour

Can’t imagine it’s an O’Neills cock up, whatever we think of their brand/quality, we can at least give them credit for turning over two kits in February when we needed them promptly

  4. Judging by Phantoms react to my post I’m taking it that we have indeed decided against the splat robin on our away kits and now it’s being re-designed/printed with our usual badge.

Whether or not it’s just the badge changing or the entire strip/colour scheme - who knows!

Got a feeling it was a white shirt with a cyan blue robin originally, similar colour to the training wear we have seen. Our guesswork though.

  5. Could it be the splat robin was also designed onto the new away shirts and after the backlash of our third kit we’ve now decided we want to stick with the normal badge?

Hence a prompt re-design, mass re-print and then promotional shoot etc before release. That’s the only thing I can think that will be holding a release up, otherwise it’s poor considering we’ve had two kits since February and it’s taken nearly 6 months to release just one additional?

A Collarwatch™ update - bought the boy his shirt today and Harry Hill indeed wouldn’t wear it himself (this is a 13 years size, with a 20 years collar presumably….)

The badge really doesn’t look right on the kids size shirts either. Small kits need a smaller badge, but they’ve just kept the adults size which then overlaps the pinstripe’s (the badge sits within them on adults).

The consistency across the shirts is terrible

Conway went down with no one around him before heading straight down the tunnel according to people at the game. Vyner also subbed late on, not sure why at this point, but I’ll leave him off the list for now. Conway goes on though, that’s an injury.

    Injured:

    Atkinson

    McCrorie

    Naismith

    Benarous

    Weimann

    Conway

Good pre-season this. Let’s see who we lose Saturday.

Fleming has confirmed no injuries sustained tonight. Zak and Tommy are fine

Can’t help but feel that’s Pearson current ‘second’ team, with Scott included due to a near transfer. Only one that doesn’t maybe add up is Dickie as you feel he has to be starting against Preston.

Think Zak and Dickie will be partnered at Portsmouth. Think part of the thinking for time being whilst we are light in that position is to have a senior pro next to a young centre half. Rather than leaving two young lads exposed.

The team tonight probably picks itself now:

    O’Leary

    Tanner

    Araoye

    Vyner

    Roberts

    James

    Williams

    Weimann

    Cornick

    Conway

Personally I think they’ve fixed the collar problem looking todays match photos.. (Zaks photo as an example but they all look like this) I know it sounds crazy but genuinely think they are using these old ones as they’re getting comments/engagement and that is what the social media company that look after city’s pages will be wanting.. as long as they can show the club engagement is up etc they will keep getting there money..

know it sounds a bit odd but social media pages grow off the back of engagement.. regardless of if it’s positive or negative.

but then again they’re meant to be making us look as good as possible so I’m probably chatting rubbish and they are probably just using last game’s images for easy as they’re already edited
