Agree with this and it’s all about opinions. Imagine how “interesting” it would be if everyone agreed with everything that’s said! For what it’s worth, I think you and the podcast are correct to flag the poor form since the Man City game. I look at the table and games coming up and have a funny feeling we’ll finish 17th…. Progress… a little but not a lot is my current thought.

Very optimistic! I was just looking at the table and our upcoming game and thinking 17th (again) was a distinct possibility!

Sadly I don’t remember many people complaining at the time. Personally I wouldn’t have signed any of those 3 Chelsea players… Chelsea did well out of us!

If we could add his transfer fee, signing on fee, agents fees, wages etc together…. I’m pretty sure his cost per game would be eye-watering and not represent anything like value for money. He’ll be gone in the summer.

Sadly I think with Cardiff just over the bridge we’d be unlikely to ever get a sniff… annoyingly.

Crazy isn’t it, add on their point deduction and they are safe… surely that’s the most any Reading fan would have accepted at the start of the season. Not my favourite character in football but to my mind Ince has done a decent job at Reading, in stupid circumstances.

You’d think agreeing a long term deal would be straightforward… the reality is that if we can’t agree a longer deal over the summer then they’ll be looking to off load him - as he’s only got a year left. That would be a massive shame. Also his form won’t have gone unnoticed by bigger Championship clubs…

Luton are an even better example. Dropped out of the league, promoted back around the time we got promoted to this division. They’ve now gone past us, knocking on the door of the play-offs, new stadium on the way. I think their ride would have been much more fun to watch than ours… in fact in our 40+ years outside the top flight they’ve played in all of the top 5 divisions and won the League Cup. So long as the club doesn’t go out of business what is wrong with having a go and having plenty of ups and downs along the way. Many of us will rock up regardless and enjoy it. If you look at the middle chunk of the championship table it’s depressing…. Tons of us have been stuck there for years, where’s the fun/entertainment in that?

I agree with the Pompey example…. there’s no rollercoaster here. It’s pretty much 40 years of competing at the second or third level and hard to see that changing any time soon.

I’m sure it is but surely a globally recognised brand with clobber that looks good will sell more and make more money than a minor brand offering poor quality gear??

We seem to regularly have “supply issues”. Wonder whether the club aren’t helping things? Hedging their bets and not ordering enough to make them important to the supplier? Just a thought. By the way those Aberdeen “templates” look great. So much better than ours and somehow just do not look cheap.

I need help working out my least favourite from this lot: O’Neills yellow flying cartoon bird o’neills cheap and nasty looking red pin stripe comic sans training wear # hashtag gold and navy for a cup final that David Cotterill thing the “champagne” coloured kit from cotterill’s time. all things TFG I’m sure there are more but what’s clear is our kit design ideas are poor…. Anyone else for big brand templates??

Forgetting the awful badge for a second, in what way is this NOT a template? I’m certain you could go to any major sportswear manufacturer and find a plain yellow shirt with green collar. There’s literally nothing unique about it other than the stupid bird badge….. which if you were mad enough could have been stuck on any generic yellow shirt. We look so bloody tinpot.

Couldn’t rule it out. Remember the hashtag balls up. maybe the football authorities can save us a bit of embarrassment. The kits will still look cheap and nasty but at least with a proper badge they’d be tolerable.

Spot on. People moan about template kits… I’d much rather stick a (proper) City badge on this than the cheap looking rubbish that’s been served up.

George Nurse would also have been here so a massive logjam unfortunately for the lad.

Unless Scudamore is heavily involved with SLs plans to source investment/find a buyer… who better to explain the potential of the club to a foreign invested than a man who used to run the Prem League. All speculation on my part…. I haven’t the foggiest!!
