Hardly surprising. They seem to be in a bit of a shambles - relatively speaking, the worst team in the football league rivalled perhaps only by Sheffield United!
Chairman has pulled funding I believe? Think they’re destined for League One again.

For **** sake

Big picture, supporting us has got so bloody boring. I’ll be on here each gameday, cheering when we win and getting annoyed when we lose but I know full and rightly that August will roll around again and we’ll be in this same bloody division after a midtable finish.

All the more sad considering Scunthorpe has to be one of the most deprived areas of the country. I’m sure the football club means an awful lot to a lot of people up there - as, of course, most football clubs do. Hope they’re rescued.

Does feel like a bit of a free hit this. I’m convinced Leicester will comfortably win the league, so anything other than a defeat would be excellent and, frankly, even a defeat is unlikely to ruin my weekend this time!

In fairness, I’ve actually seen Aveley play. They had horrible fans, and a horrible team. And they are a village side.
Think they must have been pumped with money recently, as they’re flying up through the leagues in recent years. Either that or they’re just a horrible side who know how to win football games.

How many points will a lack of investing in a finisher cost us this season?

Never a bad result coming back from 1-0 down away from home.
Hopefully Weimann and Sykes not too badly injured… otherwise a potentially costly point

There was a Hummel training kit a few years back that had prints of 'Bristol stuff' like hot air balloons and Cabot tower, BS3 and that kinda thing.
Think we also had a recent shirt with suspension bridge behind the neck line?
I agree I'd like to see a lot more of this, but I'd imagine that the vast majority of clubs are equally as bad with this kind of thing
They definitely are just as bad, if not even worse. But I guess I'd just like to see us make use of the fact Bristol is one of the most creative/interesting cities in the UK. Fair enough if Crawley Town and Watford aren't doing it if you know what I mean, but just feel we could be doing it so much better.

Arsenal have released some great kits over the last couple of seasons, rooted in their Islington home. There was the kit last season inspired by the Piccadilly line tube which runs to the Emirates.
Now they've just released a great third kit to celebrate being back in Europe, inspired by a local (European, I assume) takeaway! https://www.instagram.com/reel/CwE_HOVNVqq
Just made me think how poor our efforts look to create an off-field identity. Bristol has to be one of the most creative cities in the UK, home of street art arguably. So many interesting things to use as inspiration but we end up with a robin nicked off Google images and a random yellow colour? We can't use lack of budget as an excuse. Surely there must be a few creative studios/agencies out there owned by City fans? It would be a dream brief.
I suppose my point is, we're ready in many ways to be a Premier league club with facilities (and that's obviously more important) but we're still pretty tinpot as a, dare I say it, 'brand'.

So have we a) caved and taken less than we wanted or b) negotiated some extraordinary additional terms?

I continue to find my support of Bristol City football club utterly exhausting.

Southampton are selling mens shirts (men sponsored by crypto/gambling) with their women’s team sponsor (starling bank) on it as a option too. Quite interesting.

Lucky *******
That's one relegation place sown up though barring a big summer from them.
How come? Can’t say I know much about their squad, but they collected 96 points.

I'm not sure if the atmosphere is any better/worse than anywhere else, but given we've had several seasons of barely troubling the top half of the table it wouldn't be surprising if it's not been the noisiest.

Have a bizarre soft spot for Barnsley, and don’t mind Wednesday much either which considering I have something against almost every team is not bad going.
Glad it’s one of those two instead of Derby or Peterborough.

Went for Nicky Maynard
At least as far as my nostalgia-tinted memories go, he scored from 25 yards every time he had a shot. -
Really hope City get it done at the weekend, or Brum might really fancy their chances at their place!

Weston officially champions and promoted after a 4-1 win. Over 1,500 in attendance.

Very easy that

West Brom in the play offs as it stands with a game in hand. Would be a real shame if they managed to sneak promotion.

Bizarrely somehow makes the Stoke result more annoying in my head.
We’ve only really had two truly bad results so far this season (Birmingham and Stoke). If we only have two similarly bad results out of our next 10 I’ll probably be content…
Overall, ten games in, I’m giving this season a rating of B so far.
