Certainly made the evening a lot more fun - well done lads, onwards and upwards !!!!!!!!!!!

i'll be listening to the game at work, hoping for a win, but expecting a draw/loss - weather could be a great leveler for us, and we played as well as them last time around, so hell maybe another 2-2 maybe ?
-
There pitch is terrible, Only played 4 games this year or something stupid like that
ouch - they are going to be knackered with a full playing schedule, that's really going to hit them.
-
Whats happening at Crawley - they have 5 games in hand on the rest of most the league.
-
-
So that's what, 5 for Flint this season.

some right garbage on the walsall forum, apparently they were the better footballing team, it was never a penalty and we didn't deserve 3 points
great win today, COYR!!
Think the some the win has led to some rose times glasses in regards to the game.
The first half was not good football. Both teams looked poor, and if it were not for the penalty (looked a penalty, tripping Reid) would have been really worrying.
Only the twenty minutes towards the end did we see anything like entertaining football. Before that there were plenty of long balls that no one got on the end of. Plenty of passing along the back leading to those long balls. Sitting really deep and not pushing up (in fact the moment Shorey came on we looked to have decided to sit deep, defend the lead and look for chances to break as Walsall were forced to push forward). Not necessarily the wrong thing, but not great to watch.
Baldock could have gotten some goals to put the game beyond doubt, but he failed to do so - which again he has all season.
Ultimately though it was a win, and that is more important than the standard of football.

Walsall were really poor, the game could have gone into midnight and they would not have scored. For seventy minutes the game was poor, only the fact we were one up made most of that time bearable.
Last twenty minutes was much better, more attacking, thanks to pace upfront from Burns and Baldock. If we play like that more often will be good to see.
But hey ho... A much needed win. If Baldock converted his chances we'd have win 4-0. There again if he converted his chances, we would be in the play offs.

We are so unlucky this season.. We just can't buy a break.
-
They need to push for a goal.. So I expect us to find more space to take advantage of later in the game.

Thought it strange when he said SC wants to be involved with all elements of the club... Surely he should be told NO... How can the manager/head coach be interchangeable if he is dictating the academies style of play or getting involved in other matters.. I thought the whole idea was to create a club that creates a support system for the first team.. But is also at arms length and beyond the interference / whims / of the first team coach/manager.
Anyway nice to hear him speak and see he still had some fire in him.
-
Was a poor game, can't help think a lot of the second half performance from Rotherham was due to not only having the wind against them but sheets of rain driving into them.. Much easier to play with that at your back.

Made hard work of it in the end. All that for a completely pants draw as per usual.
I was impressed with Baldock today. Missed a few again but he lead by example today and worked hard. That is what I expect to see from him more weeks than most. Especially from a captain.
That has been my main complaint with Baldock. I can handle him missing chances, all good strikers do but his all round game up until late hasn't been good enough. Today he looked sharp though and long may that continue.
He's been running those channels all season, he's also managed 8 league goals and a number of assists.. The only difference today is the quality of the opposition.
-
Not exactly entertaining.. But I guess it's too be expected playing against conference/post timers.. Just need to get the job done.
-
Not even half time yet.. Let's not give up

Who do you think is MD of Lindley's?
Still don't understand how Lindleys got our custom.. Surely the club should be using local firms and produce... Not an international American owned firm.
-
The objections all relate to increased traffic the lack of light, and a loss of sunlight.
I understand why they would be upset... But it's not as if we wanted this.. It's been forced upon us so people can have a 43 acre "village green"

Another point to add to the tally... The march continues...

I often see players names spelt incorrectly, but it always happens so much more with the Mc prefix...
I've seen McKindoe, McKiness and many many more, I wonder why?
They are just taking the Mick.. Dammed, meant Mc ;-)

Are we just praying for a draw ? Seems we have been 2nd best the whole half.
-
Wicked deflection and totally undeserved
About sums up our luck this season.
-
guess that means he's either on the pitch or a sub... still not quite sure why he got the round of applause after the match was well underway as heartwarming as it was for obvious reasons.
The seventh minute.

Pack, Reid, Gillett, Shorey looks a little weak - would like to see Wynter in that line up for Gillett.
Don't under stand why we put both Taylor and Harewood on the bench.. Would like another option like Burns to take one of their slots on the bench... But hey ho...
