So my shirt arrived this week after ordering in the second release back in Feb.

The shirt is lovely, but the quality is questionable - where the badge is applied is creased, and not just in need of iron but the way the badge has been applied it seems.

Also it came with a matchday programme which was a nice touch, however that was also damaged presumably by the courier.

In fairness to the club they got back to me straight away and are arranging a replacement, and sending another programme.

Did anyone else have any issues?

Collecting mine tomorrow. Hopefully 🤞 it’s in better condition than yours!

  2. Leaving early just one part of the problem. We are rarely at full attendance ahead of kick off with so many still in the concourse as the teams come out. Then there’s the pre half time walkouts who are keen to beat the toilet or bar queues and are again slow to return for second half.

I've never left a game early, irrespective of the score. Why would I? I’ve paid to come and watch the game of football and I’ll see it through regardless of how we’re doing! Sometimes, that stubbornness rewards me like it did Saturday, oftentimes not!

As supporters we have a part to play in creating an atmosphere that’s exciting and encouraging to the team. I’d love to see more people taking their seats in good time and not leaving early. Undoubtedly when the good times return, if we’re on a decent run, we’ll see more of this. We’re probably all running out of steam as the season draws to an end!

    For those concerned,

    Bristol City

    Its our lifee,

Its the club that we love,

    Nothing above

    City ole

    City ole,

Despite my initial indifference to this one, I’ll admit it’s taken off quite well. Had to come back to remind myself of some of the lyrics though as can’t quite make them out when sung at AG!

  4. Definitely not hitting the highs in terms of performance levels he was pre injury. But still effective, in flashes at least. Looks like he’s adapting to the new system and I’m sure he will come good again. Should have scored last night.

  5. Quite deservedly, Mehmeti, Wells and Cornick were preferred attacking subs made tonight. In the system we’re playing, with those subs made, there wasn’t scope to bring him on.

Apart from the back post volley by Whittaker I’m not sure they had any real chances.

They started well & had about 4 corners in the first 6 minutes but in truth they didn’t threaten very much at all.

Second half Whittaker had another shot that Max palmed away but that was it.

In reality it was a comfortable win.

I think they got into some great positions in that opening 20 mins, in which had they chosen a better final pass or taken a shot (wow they were reluctant to shoot at times!) they might well have scored.

I agree that after than point it was comfortable and looked like there would only be one winner.

Perfect game plan, let Argyle have the ball, little to no threat and they blew out

Would take just the same at Sunderland, their home crowd are bubbling at the moment too

Haha! Pretty sure that wasn’t the plan! Had Argyle taken any one of their numerous chances in that opening 20 mins, it could have been a different game.

  8. I don’t think he’s back to full match sharpness yet, but still think he adds quality and a desire to play forward that we need. If a deal can be done, he’ll be an excellent signing.

Nope. Withdrawing your money from a club that has been providing a poor product of entertainment for over 5 years now is totally fair enough. Blindly renewing season after season whilst being unhappy with what is on offer is just silly.

Withdrawing support as a fan? No chance. Still want the club to do well, but if you don't like what you're seeing and how the club is being managed then show some courage of your convictions and walk away until things change.

I guess it depends on your definition of support. My grandfather, who introduced me to City back in the early 90s, identified the difference between being a fan and being a supporter as the latter meaning that you give the club your money in some form, whether through ST or shirt sales or other means. In what way are you ‘supporting’ the club by not contributing in this way?

All that said, you’re welcome to your opinion and to take action accordingly as you see fit.

personally though, I’ll stick with it…with my eyes wide open. Nothing blind about this renewal, I know the ‘product’ isn’t great at the minute but I still enjoy going and would rather be there to witness the turn around than lurk on forums moaning about everything.

  10. Renewed for me and my son. Yes, this is another season ending in disappointment, but this is my team and I’m not going to walk away. Through thick and thin and all that! We go again next season with renewed hope! COYR

  11. How much do we expect fixtures to be moved from Sat 3pm? I’ll be one of those trying to juggle attending with other commitments like coaching a grass roots team. If there are more frequent Sunday fixtures, I fear I’m going to lose the value of being an ST holder. That said, I’m usually able to shift my tickets to friends when unable to attend. Much easier to do that when we’re playing well of course!

Yes of course we can renew there. But by paying more than 10% extra for me, or more than 90% extra for him. Which is scandalous.

And yes we could move to Upper Lansdown, and be absolutely miles from the pitch, away from the people I've been sat with since the South Stand opened, and still be paying more for the privilege than I did this season in the South Stand.

Ok, I see it what you’re saying now. It’s unfortunate for you but I’d argue the £55 for a child ST which includes a free shirt, was far too good a deal. It’s attracted people to buy them without genuine intent for that seat to be filled every match.

No. It's because the club have decided that all under 12s should **** off up to the Lansdown Stand, whether or not the people they sit with have been happily sitting in the South Stand since it opened.

I’m sure I’m missing something here - it’s been a long day already! If you and your son are South Stand ST holders already, you can just renew those right? You’re not being forced to move to the Lansdown upper tier? And if you do go up there, it’s cheaper than it is in the South Stand?

Same at all clubs however Sunday in particular was a warning. A warning that seems not to have been heeded?

I don’t think anything can be read into the attendance at a Mother’s Day midday kick off! Plenty of reasons for people not to attend that one!

I was nailed on to renew, despite the current on the pitch situation, but a £40 (over 10%) increase has made me seriously considering not renewing for the first time in 25 years. Not to mention my son's ticket going up by over 90%.

What an absolute joke from the club.

One very angry fan here 🤬

Has your son’s ticket gone up that much because he’s now in a higher age category?

Remember sitting in the middle of a row will add 30 minutes to exiting at full time whistle.

I think that’s a bit of an exaggeration. I think, irrespective of where you’re sat in the row, if you stay to the end then you’re going to be behind those who’ve already left their seats.

I’m aiming for about halfway down, between rows 20 & 29. At the moment I’m up near the top of E32, and find the climb a bit much these days!

I’m in row 20…moved up from a few rows lower on account of an absolute clown whose language I could tolerate no longer! It’s a decent view from there.
