Not much more to say on the opening 25 minutes is there?! It was woeful. I jokingly said to my son when James was down with his injury that he was probably fine, just milking it so we could have a tactical reshuffle and verbal rocket! 

Roberts being hooked was inevitable once we switched it up, but looks to me like he got the hump about it as he didn’t resurface second half and was not on the pitch at the end to celebrate the win with the team. 

Anyone know where I can get a quick flight to France to watch this?!

Was fairly evident Zac picked up a knock first half against Plymouth and was somewhat surprised he returned after the break. We will miss him today but hopefully Dickie and Naismith are on their A game.

Possibly but what was the excuse on Saturday? An even more sparse crowd in sections of South Stand and Lansdown especially. 

Chatting to Plymouth fan at work today, he could not understand the number of changes they made. That totally backfired for them. There should have been no concern over fatigue given it was only second game back after the international break. And they had played well at Preston despite losing. In that context, the 7 changes were perplexing. 
From a City perspective though, what a night! Took my son along and he’s never seen us take a team apart like this and he commented it was the best atmosphere in ages. Great display of attacking intent and desire from every single player. COYR

It was given to Bell despite what the sky sports app said at the time! Was going in before the deflection. 

Surprised we still have quite a few tickets remaining given the member offer. Hopefully majority of season ticket holders actually attend this one - the empty seats in the supposedly sold out South stand are frustrating. 

I’m sure stock will be replenished plentifully now they’ve seen there’s an initial demand for it. Could you blame the club for being cautious in the stock volumes initially given some of the backlash against the o’neills kits so far? 

That’s a very nice kit. 

That was so much better than Saturday. Sykes offers a greater threat in the wide area. Wells a real handful. But for poor finishing we’d be level.

Absolutely. Vyner was playing like the one we all thought would be offloaded at the start of last season and Tanner couldn’t control a simple pass or make any attacking plays into Cornick.

Turns out I was spot on! Not a massive surprise really. Pleased to see Cam Pring retain the left back spot. Didn’t do much wrong for me on Saturday but seemed to be a scapegoat for our lack of performance

Naismith in for Dickie. 
Sykes and Wells to start, Mehmeti and Cornick benched. 

Fantastic news…not least because I just shelled out on having his name and number printed on the back of my son’s new shirt! 

He is our favourite player and for me was easily in our top three performers last season. I hope Pearson keeps the faith with him over Roberts.

No need for an apology. I was just confused and thought I’d missed it. We have two games that day right? Back to back against Newport then Oxford. Likely to mix and match across the two games?

I have a code available. Also, have one adult and one U19 season ticket seats available for this game as we aren’t able to attend the season opener. Feel free to DM for more details.

We’ll likely see a more competitive game internally than we would have got against the team they can put out currently. Hopefully not too disruptive to the preseason schedule.

That ‘first team’ squad is primarily kids. They have very few senior players. Absolute mess of a club. Officially without a manager still as Selles yet to be confirmed. They’re in serious trouble.

Good luck to him. Shame it didn’t work out but we move on. It’s not really a loss to us given all we saw were glimpses of talent in the preseason games.

Whilst typing this message, I thought I'd check out the rewards page which is still under maintenance, and has been for a few weeks...

The vouchers will have been sent to you by email with a pin included. They can be used in the online shop or in store. They are still valid. 

Seems to me the right conclusion was reached for both parties. No need to bad mouth the guy if he wasn’t convinced it was the right move.
