  1. OMG! Will Rovers be allowed to play in the 2019-20 FA CUP? file:///C:/Users/Martin/Downloads/competition-entry-terms-conditions-20192020.pdf 8. Attention is drawn to Rule 6 of each Competition: a) A Club that is either a Full or Associate Member of The Association who fails to pay the Association’s membership subscription by 1 August in accordance with FA Rule A3 (k) (ii) may be subject to removal from FA Competitions. b) A Club entering FA Competitions will be required on the closing date for entries to have up to date accounts and articles/rules to meet the requirements of Rule 6(b). Any Club in breach of Rule 6(b) may be subject to sanction by The FA.
  2. Head in the sand time in a discussion about not filing the accounts. http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/14244/accounts Anyone else worried that our accounts haven't been published yet? Couldn’t care less about our accounts or city! As above, I couldn’t care less about the accounts. I find it amazing people get so worked up about every single detail, related to the subject. Especially when working off of assumption, rumour, hearsay or agenda driven garbage.
  3. OK, let's be magnanimous; well done Rovers you've managed to stay up. Three questions though. Is staying up an achievement to be satisfied with? Will your two top scorers still be here in August? Do you still claim to be coming for City?
  4. As it's Easter, a message from the bible; "Remove the plank from your own eye; then you'll see better to remove the splinter from your neighbour's eye"! Put more colloquially; Dear pot, thanks for your consideration, love kettle".
  5. It's not funny at all; just the natural way of things! ?
  6. Hope springs eternal; http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/14133/gas-hatters-match-thread-courtesy?page=8 A goal now and a point would be massive. Would take us 4 points from drop (practically 5 with GD) Gritty performance by the gas against a very good Luton side, but as i expected Referee Shakespeare was very frustrating but much improved from midweek, but no points, 10 defeats at home now but i expect no further losses from now, fingers crossed
  7. Well, these things do take time.
  8. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Sheffield_Wednesday/Sheffield_Wednesday.htm only shows halves, not quarters. 1886-1890 Cardiff 1899-1908

In the 1950's City signed Sid Thomas from Fulham. After just a few games though, Sid retired due to Tuberculosis! Harry Dolman accepted the situation and paid the full transfer fee, but suggested Fulham give a reserve team player to City as compensation. Fulham refused though.
  11. OK, have I got this right? Twice come from behind to get away draw, but still drop down two league places?
  12. Hang on folks, it's true everyone does (or at least did) like Rovers. When Rovers finished bottom of the league in 1938-39, they had to apply for re-election to the League. (For you young 'uns, no auto promotion & relegation then). Gasp shock horror, they were voted back unanimously! http://www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_attachment;postatt_id=3506; Hartlepools FL 38 re-elected to Division Three (North) Accrington Stanley FL 29 re-elected to Division Three (North) South Liverpool LC 5 Scunthorpe & L Utd ML 4 Burton Town ML 0 Wigan Athletic CL 0 Bristol Rovers FL 45 re-elected to Division Three (South) Walsall FL 36 re-elected to Division Three (South) Gillingham SL 15 Chelmsford City SL 1 Colchester United SL 1 Interesting to note that the Northern clubs receiving no votes then, subsequently gained automatic promotion to the league and both are currently, above Rovers.
  13. I smiled at the end of the Sky Sports round up today. Geoff Stelling announced "Bristol Rovers are now in 13th position, but only two points out of the relegation places. Our producer hopes things will be this tight on the last day of the season." Could it be written in the stars; 13th at 3.00pm, 21st at 5.00pm?
  14. Think how annoying it will be for them if they remain unbeaten for the remainder of the season. Only to find those above them have as well so that Rovers are relegated with a record number of points!
  15. These are in Poland, but are the right size for the travelling gas heads.
  16. To be fair, go back four months and this forum was the same regarding LJ.
  17. http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/13889/jester-official-sunderland-matchday-thread?page=10 Reality is striking. It feels already like we’re down so if we stay up that’s a positive otherwise we’ve got a good vote for next season. The game on Tuesday was a real battle and imo the players looked exhausted at the end - perhaps that is some of the reason for today? What is worrying is that we have Sat/Tues matches all through March so the players are going to be tested
  18. A new ground idea for accommodating the gas hordes; Should they ever climb higher than their current status;
  19. This big screen TV; can it be seen from outside the ground? If so, more people avoiding admittance fee. ?
  20. The first page of their forum has no posts from before 2015, so obviously, that is when they started. This forum is nearly 4,000 pages long, going back to 2003 when OTIB started in a new format.
  21. If Rovers do make it to Wembley, sorry "Wembly",
  22. Wow; reality has struck home with several of them! (But delusions still shine hrough). http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/13798/sold-river Sorry, just how I feel at the mo. New owners, no ambition, no new ground, no new training ground - no money. Really feel cheated after 60 years of following. Completely agree! I for the first time in a long time will not be buying a season ticket next season. I can't wait until the owners leave! On the other hand I'm a bath lad and bath city are really doing a lot more marketing than they have historically, plus have plans to redevelop whilst adding to the community in which I live and I must admit they are sucking me in a bit at the moment. Never in a million years thought I would ever feel like that as I'm blue through and through! Just feel so helpless and pissed off with everything connected to rovers - we are just so tinpot for our crowd sizes and we are being mugged off! It's fairly evident now that the progress we made over the last few years was in spite of the Al Qadis rather than because of them. Yep, and two years after that we were back in League 1, which I always felt was our rightful place. A decent league 1 team chasing championship football. Over the last 15 or so years we have become a team who struggle to stay in League 1 and this has not changed despite different owners. How has that happened with our large fan base?
