  1. Death, taxes, New Road being underwater
  2. You're acting like SGS has always been generous towards City, Hockaday certainly did little to help City including inviting a friend of his who was head of academy at a Cat 1 side to come watch a player City had agreed to offer a deal to. SGS made a tidy sum off City for doing very little on the basis they couldn't really go anywhere else.
  3. Anything like this he’ll probably just roll with what others say, why wouldn’t you if there’s a small chance they develop, won’t impact the business he’s allowed to do at first team level
  4. 21’s having a great transfer window
  5. I actually felt sorry for Towler having to be on the pitch for that, no way he should have been put up against Sarr, just wasn’t ready for it.
  6. He has clipped him in fairness
  7. That was a really bad choice of job at a really bad time, too far out from a transfer window with too little there to work with. May be able to get himself a decent sized League 2 job, still some fairly well financed teams there. Or as another idea of what could be next, as Carsley gets linked to numerous jobs now perhaps England U21 or U20 (if they promote from within first) could be an option.
  8. Pretty much as near enough all teams do. Players usually get about 6 shirts before they have to start paying for replacements if they want to give more away.
  9. The guys who came on had been told to warm up a little before their sub, I think he just waited 5 minutes to see how their sub changed them with Delap moving up top.
  10. I'd agree, sounds like the sort of off hand comment you can make as a joke after a heavy defeat. But equally wouldn't be surprised if Manning was already on a list our end (even if no contact made) pretty sure a decision had already been made that Nige wasn't going to be getting a new contract bar something like promotion so we'd have already been starting to plan ahead.
  11. Oh yeah they’ll be no where near the big 3 clubs and probably not even the next batch. Their whole thing will be signing high potential talent nurturing it and then selling it on and sprinkling some longer term signings around those for continuity.
  12. Yeah they were just the best example of a non traditional club playing in Europe
  13. So another downside of the proposed new league system, Girona having a great season in Spain now and if they finish in a qualifying spot they get Champions League football next season, under the new proposed system they would enter the blue league and it would be a further two seasons of exceptional football before they reached the star league to be able to play against the best. Despite being a City group club they would likely have their squad ripped apart in that time with the best players going to City or sold for big money and trying to replace them while staying competitive.
  14. And then a paid for version with no adverts which price will keep increasing every couple of years
  15. It’ll just hurt domestic leagues further, the top 7 or so clubs just getting an even bigger source of income? Yeah that’s definitely going to help the balance in the PL
  16. Need the PL to come out and say any club who wants to compete in the super league will not be welcome to be a member of the PL
  17. What's worse, middle lane on a 3 lane motorway or 3rd lane on a 4 lane motorway?
  18. Good exercise up and down that hill too
  19. The industry rarely shows loyalty to people in it so it’s unsurprising when the people in it choose to advance themselves when opportunities arise. Look at people like Bonner at Cambridge who turned down jobs, all it takes is a change in fortunes and poor form for a while for you to be sacked. Higher salary, closer to Liverpool again so not surprising Schumacher has taken the chance.
  20. As long as they were from a favoured agency first

    U21s Today

Doubt any first teamers will travel away, especially as far as Ipswich
  22. Maldon and Tiptree owned by the same family as Colchester United, a lot of interlinking between the clubs. Not to imply Britton would have a chance of moving between or anything.
  23. Picking a single game probably not the best way to make a point
