Radical idea for 20/21 season if it wouldn't start until November/December, you split each division in half top half only play top half, bottom half only play bottom half and essentially become 2 leagues, top half playing for places 1-12, bottom half playing for places 13-24, no doubt you'd get threats of lawsuits from teams in bottom half for no chance of promotion but this way you'd only need to play 22 league games. Prem teams would only need to play 18 so still space for European fixtures as you know those will make it in. Alternatively you shift to a calendar year season, someone suggested mid summer games be played as late kick offs so you don't have to play in potentially 30 degree heat, you'd only need to move it to 4 or 5 o'clock, police would probably hate it for day drinking so try and get kick offs moved to 12.

Probably won't be a cancellation unless it doesn't restart until September/October because then you're struggling to fit fixtures in before the Euros again and you can't put the Euros back again because of the World Cup, so unless the Euros are abandoned all together...

C4 news, after the news of exams being cancelled someone claiming its likely to be decided by teacher assessments, if true then welcome to a shit tonne of lawsuits if students don't get the grades they need to attend the university they want. Personally at GCSE level I was predicted a D in Maths by my teacher but studied and revised hard and got a B, deciding by teacher assessments will set a lot of kids back majorly.

So more 'advice' but no action from the govt, still putting the onus on the public despite the fact they say follow what has been put out to help suppress the curve as much as possible, if its reached that level of importance shouldn't it now be a govt decision rather than advice?

Would it be because many of the people within the UK are still within self isolation periods etc so not 'recovered', whereas China the majority of theirs will have come out of those periods being a few weeks ahead of us
