  1. No recognised spinner again, what was the point of calling Bess in again?
  2. Quite the gamble though, could easily be another Paul Clement
  3. Wisden's CC team of the decade, can only assume they've been ironic in leaving Hildreth out (one person sticks up for him) as Wisden's own article shows he scored 957 more first class runs than anyone else in the last decade. https://www.wisden.com/stories/decade-in-review/the-county-championship-team-of-the-decade?fbclid=IwAR0hKB1GswVlweq0V2l6tRDtP3oQAE1h5S8a6exAvBiFBlF3SmTylrj6ezk
  4. a 36 ball 64 for Banton this morning Trego signs for Notts on a 2 year deal
  5. Banton picked up by KKR for the IPL, may not play a huge deal but his coach there in Brendon McCullum, great place for him to learn
  6. Yeah I get that but the badges all have 4 legs, but thought Wyverns only have 2 legs?
  7. Wyvern only has 2 legs though right?
  8. Waiting with popcorn for people kicking off about 007 being a woman, no problem for me as its completely separate from James Bond and looks like well handled.
  9. Good idea from Archer though, simple tricks like that aren't used often enough
  10. I think that's the worst drop I've ever seen
  11. That's got to be a minuscule outside leg, roughly half the ball inline on hawkeye, so how much of the ball needs to pitch inline to count as inline?
  12. See Jack's been made the scapegoat of the 1st test, Root and Denly as front line test match spinners
  13. ECB not learning their lesson over organising games for arse end of September and start of April
  14. How much of the ball has to be in line? Looked like a little of the ball may have been for Leach's there, how much would umpires call be?
  15. Anyone remember the last time we had 2 openers with such unorthodox techniques? We seem to have had at least 1 correct player for quite a while (Cook, Strauss, Vaughan)
  16. Add that apparently this sort of pitch is fine by ECB standards https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8204/report/1166973/day/4/glamorgan-vs-northamptonshire-specsavers-county-championship-division-two-2019?fbclid=IwAR3APLlZC2GN_dTlU1xNCIoRSUZWS2Fkud9IZteyFK3etFr6M3KK7EtP1pg
  17. It was a miracle there was any cricket at all that week, we're hardly going to produce a road chasing a first county championship
  18. Its the inconsistency though, look at Hampshire when they did us over, only 1 score over 200 at 226, from memory horrid wicket not punished, there were plenty last season that went unpunished.
  19. What a load of f****** bullsh*t, because we're the only ones who prepare poor pitches? There were loads of occasions this season with low scores and poor pitches. More runs than in the first innings at Canterbury as well. Oh no a pitch that spins early... and then when we go to the sub continent and can't play spin the pundits say that we should get English pitches spinning! https://www.somersetcountycc.co.uk/news/club-news/club-statement-cricket-discipline-commission-decision/
  20. Outscored Sibley, burns, root and Stokes
  21. Leach lasts longer than Sibley this morning Leach to open!
  22. Looks like Lewis won't bowl, why pick an all rounder and not give him a chance to bowl, particularly after Sam got spanked in his 3rd over
  23. 'International Cricket' thread? Sam Curran listed as a batsman (batting at 6) by NZ media in team line ups and is opening the bowling
