What a joke, basically having a weekend to work out a credible reason for saving Middlesex.

Still no news despite the inspection being an hour ago, I've got a really bad feeling about this.

These are the stand outs, if our pitch was so poor will everyone else get points deductions too... We scored something like 200 more runs than Middlesex over 2 innings, we showed you can bat on it.

As said in the county thread, wonder how long someones held onto that video considering its not from the same night. Being snapchat as well whoever took the video must have downloaded it at the same time.

They've said its based on how it plays, look at the runs hit by bot teams, we hit a decent amount. Middlesex were just shite.

So marked below average due to the fact it spun on day 1? That's the ECB's official criteria, if a pitch gets decent turn on days 1 or 2 you get a below average rating... wow. No wonder 90% of English players can't play spin if teams aren't allowed to prepare spinning wickets. When we go abroad to subcontinent etc you'll get spin straight away. From what I watched on the live stream the pitch didn't really get worse, it seemed to spin as much on day 1 as it did on day 3.

Waiting for the full story to be confirmed before any more judgements after some of the supposed stuff that lead up to it.

Would they be allowed given a teams survival would be at stake?

So people's opinions, keep Abell as captain for next season? I think he deserves another shot, after a poor start to the season he came back strongly when moving down the order and deserved his place in the side and captaincy he's made some decent calls this year.

Yeah reading on twitter people saying the video has been edited removing the part where stokes was threatened with the bottle as well. Is that really a surprise given whose put the video out

Have to agree the video is very bad, the other guy may have thrown the first punch but Stokes is just relentless and needs to be made an example of frankly. Make him miss the ashes and it may hit home to sort himself out.

Buttler has played 4 CC games this season and not done well, if you're looking for an alternative to Foakes as back up then I'd have gone with Duckett.
