  1. And still they play on at the City Ground where they are approaching the end of the first half of extra time. Enormous credit to Bristol City. They have caused their Premier League hosts loads of problems.
  2. Harry Cornick with an ambitious curling attempt from outside the box. The Bristol City substitute gets it all wrong.
  3. Forest should be able to come through this. As the game goes on longer and longer they should be able to. But Bristol City seem to have an understanding and a belief.
  4. A tired ball by a Forest player sparks a Bristol City counter attack which ends with Matty James having a goal-bound attempt blocked. Moments later Forest break but the Championship side just about do enough to get it clear. Into stoppage time...
  5. Still no sign of a winner at the City Ground. Into the final 10 minutes.
  6. Are we heading for extra-time at the City Ground? Fifteen minutes of normal time remaining. Bristol City are still going toe-to-toe with the Premier League hosts.
  7. Forest, who are at home to Newcastle on Saturday, could do without extra-time. Nuno Espirito Santo has sent on Callum Hudson-Odoi and Taiwo Awoniyi in an attempt to win this in 90 minutes.
  8. Wave after wave of attacks from Bristol City. The ball is pinging around inside the Forest box. The home team have struggled to get out of their own half since the start of the second half.
  9. Another big chance for the visitors but Matt Turner is equal to Anis Mehmeti's attempt. That was Bristol City's sixth attempt on target.
  10. The FA Cup does funny things to teams. Bristol City are in the bottom half of the Championship yet they are giving their Premier League hosts the runaround. A lively start to the second half almost results in Jason Knight carving out a great chance.
  11. Wonderful effort and wonderful desire from this Bristol City side to get back into the game.
  12. Fifteen attempts. Seven on target. Two goals. Terrific entertainment at the City Ground where the tie is evenly poised with half time looming.
  13. Bristol City look danagerous each time they pour forward. Tommy Conway is the latest to test Matt Turner who does well to beat his fierce low drive away.
  14. Nothing coming up on Sports-10, despite it being listed
  15. The ref was very quick to give Villa FKs and reluctant to give us them. Quite how the ref could not have seen Daly downing Connolly I do not know.
  16. Totally agree. I'm not "flapping" though, just raising a genuine concern. We have taken just 2 points from the last 5 league games, continue that form over the remaining 16 games and we will go down. I don't expect us to continue getting such a poor return, but we may well get little out of M'boro and Southampton, meaning the 3 after (QPR, Sheff Wed & Cardiff) will become crucial to pick up some wins.
  17. After QPR and Huddersfield won today, we are sitting just 10 pts clear of a relegation place. Given our next game is Southampton, that gap could well be less ahead of what could be a key game home to QPR. Can't imagine we would have had to worry about being drawn into a relegation scrap had Pearson stayed...
  18. Hopefully a big boost to their confidence, grabbing a 2-2 draw. Villa will wonder how they have not won the game, being so dominant for most of the 2nd half. Having Aspin back in the defence 2nd half made a big positive difference for us. Recent signing Evans gave us nothing, just like last week. Harrison who came on for her continues to struggle, twice caught in possession nearly leading to Villa goals.
  19. 2-2! Great shot from Jones brings us level very much against the run of play.
  20. 2-1 Villa now, we have been terrible 2nd half, can't get any possession past the half-way line, playing super deep. It was just a question of when Villa would score, stupid tactics
  21. As expected Villa had most of the possession, but we have had a few good chances to get in on goal during breaks spoilt only by woeful final passes. Whilst it stays 1-1, we have a chance of nicking another as Vila defence seems their weakness.
  22. Bell has really regressed since the the first month of the season. Still gets into some good positions, but then either wants to take an extra touch and is closed down (like last night), or makes the wrong decision. When he came into the side he was an instinctive finisher and playing wide hit a lot of 1st time crosses, that ability seems to have been lost. Mehmeti could yet develop into a good option, things almost happen when he plays, like his good movement to get the shot in last night which nearly beat the keeper. Note Wells had 2 similar chances in the first 10 mins and was simply not quick enough to threaten.
  23. Well Mannings record is now 4 wins in 15 league games, does anyone think Pearson would have not done better?
  24. Sadly typical Bell a couple of mins ago, makes a good steal, gets into a great position to cross, but then takes another touch and is closed down.
