Got to be honest we’re looking like National league team here for the day out…. Distinctly average thus far, not sure we even have a midfield right now the way the West Ham are cutting through it.
Totally disagree, well for first 5 mins maybe when we were all over the place and couldn't string 2 passes together, but since then we have showed well and are certainly still in this.

Our plan is to injure as many West Ham players as possible. Second sub now on.
Good to see us getting into them a bit, shame we started like scaredy cats

How is that not a yellow for the foul on Williams?

Twice now Bell has got us in trouble.
Yes, careless passing when not under pressure.

That's not the point I'm making.
People are melting down because we're second best against a quality, established PL outfit.
Don't think they are, we were shockingly bad for the first 5 mins not doing even the basics right, been better since the goal.

West Ham recognising the worth of staying in the WSL when the Women's game is still on the up. These are exactly the pedigree of signings we should be making...
West Ham have signed Australia midfielder Katrina Gorry, capped 105 times, from Swedish side Vittsjo GIK. Gorry becomes West Ham's third January signing following the arrivals of United States midfielder Kristie Mewis, capped 53 times, and experienced WSL Canadian defender Shelina Zadorsky on loan from Spurs.
... but will our blinkered board fund our survival bid?

TC has been disappointing in open play, bar his Cameo role at Rotherham, but as many have said playing the lone striker role is not really suiting him. I think we should be offering new contract in the summer and only off-loading if he won't sign an extension.
I do agree that he seems to have lost a yard of pace since returning from injury though.

Or you could turn it around and say the Tanner made Weimann look poor today by continually ignoring the runs being made ahead of him and constantly turning back.
Weimann made many good runs first half and was totally ignored.
His runs were all infield where it needs an eye-of-needle pass to find him, he offered no outlet down the right, which made Tanner look worse.
To me he contributed virtually nothing in that position, just like when he played there v Norwich. Needs to be moved on, but I think he has a clause in his contract allowing him to exercise a further 1 year based on appearances?

Agree with many of the comments on here but for me, there was also the element of Manning and co being out-thought by their management team. They soaked up all our possession first half and then decided to change formation and give it a bit of a go. Their no 17 started to give Pring a torrid time. Manning failed to work this change out and then compounded it by taking James off.
We then lost the control we’d had in the first half even if that control had been a bit toothless.
We badly missed Sykes first half and his injury looked like a hamstring which could mean he’s missing for a while.
Hugely frustrating game and although you need patience, all that passing back once we’d broken the first line drives me mad. I can’t believe that’s down to Manning. It’s the lack of bravery on the ball-they’re just so afraid to lose possession.Agree with this, James was at least giving some element of control, which went out of the window with TGH & a tired looking Williams anchoring the midfield.
Weimann in preference to Sykes was a piss poor decision unless Sykes was carrying a knock - in which case he should not have been on the bench either.

He absolutely killed us today. Not helped by the isolation, but his hold up play was absolutely dreadful. Couldn’t get us up the pitch at all. Cant play as a sole striker at all.
He was well marshalled by their 2 very experienced CBs, who the ref allowed to plough through him too. He had sod all decent service, Wells got no change out of their CBs either.
If, and I seriously doubt we will, we go for a striker then it needs to be a true target man, to offer us something different.
