If Wells is not injured and it's a tactical decision to leave him out and play Bell CF, that's nuts!

I get that if Wells is injured, Conway is injured etc that Bells is the most likely candidate to step into the middle but I feel like he's wasted there with our style of play, he much better suits the wide position and running at players in a wide position. Conways injury has really hit us hard and for the first time in a long time I feel like a half season long loan may be required.
Are we sure it's not Cornick down the middle and Bell the rhs attacker (he is right footed after all)

Conundrum as to what our best starting 11 is at the moment.
We have looked most creative with Roberts & Mehmeti on the lhs, but do you leave out Pring who has been solid defensively just not reached the highs of last season supporting attacks. If you start Mehmeti, do you switch Bell to rhs (he is predominately right footed), but although Cornick seems a bit of a headless chicken, our 2 league goals have come from his really good long throws, so do you keep him as rhs attacker? Remember Rory Delap (who I'd say was average at best as a player) made a career out of having a dangerous long throw!
Sykes was poor against Millwall, but his track record is good playing the rhs attacker role.
Then in m/f James seems nailed on starter, Knight has to play ACM role, and I'd start Naismith ahead of Williams if he is fully fit.
Nice problems to have.

I thought Mehmeti was really good when he came on. Had a really promising effort on goal from outside the box, was closing down at pace and some tidy close control and passing.
I'm a fan of his, but have criticised his recently for not producing. His cameo today was very good imo.
Agree, like to see him start with Roberts too. Leave Bell on the bench as an impact sub. Pring got forward more today, but didn't create anything. Roberts has a real eye for a through pass, quick feet too, only by playing him we will find out if he can be as good defensively as Pring too.

FT 0-1 3 pts great!

what a volley, James!

Wouldn't go that far, he's an okay option for us.
I do think he's a way off being the finished article though. Not sure he'd start for many other Championship teams with top half ambitions.
Yep, agree. We know his has great pace, but unless the ball is fed through to him to run onto that doesn't give us anything. Even when he does get it his decision making is poor. Like to see Mehmeti start with Roberts behind him. Bell on the bench.

comical play by Cornick losing the ball, Millwall break and have dangerous FK just outside the box.
-
Don't understand how Bell stayed on and Wells was hooked... Yeboah now on for Bell.
-
Roberts already adding threat, should of started.
-
Awful shot from Bell, way over leaning back. Pring off for Roberts

Good run and shot, but Mehmeti just wide
-
Bell should have got that on target
-
Cornick (sigh), Mehmeti and Naismith on. Wells (unlucky), Williams (predictable as on a yellow) and Sykes (been poor).

Sometimes pringys decison making confuses me to no end
Yep, been better than against PNE but not making an impact forward. However defended well
-
Knight bundled off the ball and nothing given in true Keith Stroud style
-
Like to see Bell switch to right hand side and Mehmeti on the left, Naismith for Williams at some point too.

0-0 HT, last 10 mins or so were good for us but chances not taken. Bell & Sykes too passive for me. Wells working hard, but he fluffed the chance to play in Knight with a weak pass.
