Hmmmm. I was never a particular fan of Galvanise on Robin's TV, but RHCP Can't Stop is ummm...not really setting the right tone for me.
And yes, there's always something to moan about
Galvanise much better than Can't Stop for me!

Stuck in a tent on North Devon coast for this one. Antoni has been battering us since around midnight. Internet service patchy so no stream possible today. I will stick to refreshing this mdt every few minutes, so keep it entertaining!
Team looks strong, including bench. Like others I'd have gone with sykes over cornick. However cornick was very good last weekend at pompey imo
I watched the Pompey game and one flick over his head and then a run before hitting a shot that was a comfortable save for their keeper was about it in terms of goal threat he offered. Battled for the ball well I suppose, but always looks a bit of a manic individual to me with no real link-up with the rest of the team. Sykes comes on and hits a calm assured shot into the net, I suspect Cornick might not have taken that chance.
Still plenty of sub options if he doesn't work out. Love him to prove me wrong and net a hat-trick!

Either a 1 nil or 2-1 city win , much tougher game than people think Preston are an established championship side who very rarely get sucked into the relegation dogfight if any thing they generally flirt from middle table to not far off the play off places .
so much optimism ( rightly so ) but get a feeling today won’t quite reach the heights we are expecting hoping, although I do think there will be glimpses of what to look forward too .
A hard fought win with city hanging on near the end ,
wells & Sykes
Agree with you. That said I'm the most optimistic I've been at the start of a season since Cott's days. Still settle for a narrow win.

Can definitely see a logic for Cornick starting over Sykes as PNE a bit physical.
Wells and Conway, what a tussle that is gonna be this season. Wells has been brilliant pre-season.
Be interesting to see what Nige goes with, but if Scott injured I’m sure Weimann gets the gig. Maybe that’s why he got the interview yesterday??? 2+2=5
Outfield Subs from:
Roberts, Williams, King, Sykes, Conway, Mehmeti
plus the two young’uns, plus HWR as sub-GK.
Can only make 5 subs anyway, so plenty of options from those 6.
Based on last seasons appearances and the first half v Pompey, I see no logic in starting Cornick - full stop. Sykes a much better option for me.
Suspect you are right that Weimann will start as ACM now it seems Scott out. Although he could go with James & Williams and Knight as ACM.
As you say hard choice between Wells & Conway and also Mehmeti or Bell. Suspect Wells & Bell will just get the nod to start though.
-
Thought Knight looked really good, won a lot of 2nd balls, play good forward passes and drove forward himself when given space.
Quiet 45 from Scott, Bell not as involved in the left hand forward position as Mehmeti got. Cornick not a patch on Sykes for me, little to chose between Wells or Conway.
Be very interesting to see what the starting 11 is for PNE. I'd say Max, Vyner, Dickie, Tanner, Knight & Scott will start, the other 5 who knows!

This was great news to wake up to while I'm in Australia, not gonna lie...
It's been 4 years since she last played in the WSL, and she is now 30. Do you think she will be up to WSL standard?

When you see those fixtures written down you really do see how much of a step up this season is going to be. They`re going to have to be on it every game.
Afraid it's looking like a disaster season with only Amy Rogers signed to strengthen the side. How the manager, or anybody else, can think the squad that got us promoted can compete at WSL level without bringing in 3 or 4 quality players is beyond me. Makes doing the hard work to win promotion almost a waste of time if we are not going to invest in the squad to have a chance of staying up.

Wonder when we will find out what the full season charge will be for the forthcoming season?
£170, or £140 if you paid early, last season.
I'm presuming if your annual pass is active to August, will be able to watch the pre-season games without signing up for £20 package.

I notice that Vicky is still on holiday in America, did she not get kept on?
In my opinion Vicky Bruce is nowhere near good enough to play at WSL level.
Concerning that we are yet to strengthen the team at all, will make all last season's hard work almost pointless if we don't bring in at least 3 quality players to be able to compete in the WSL.

Jazz Bull signs new one-year contract with option of a second. Will be interesting to see how she gets on in the WSL..
Unlike the 2 earlier ones (Syme & Mustaki), I can't see Jazz Bull being good enough for WSL and would have released her.

After Everton's (predictable) defeat today, Bournemouth now mathematically safe from relegation - wonder if that means another slug of cash from them as part of the Semenyo deal?
-
all over 0-2, good away performance with a clean sheet, can't ask for much more.

Well, if he played like he has done today, he would probably still be here. Fact of the matter is he’s likely to be on the losing side today and is playing for a team that’s bloody lucky to have stayed up.
He has been giving it everything trying to win a contract for next season, be interesting to see if QPR offer him one.
