Imho they have, they were part of a pairing at the latter part / back end of last season when we put good results and performances together. Williams should be right up for this, getting possession of the shirt back due to Naismith injury.
It will mean we play a bit different, but basically it’ll be “get it and give it to Alex Scott”. He can spray a pass, although not quite to the extent of Naismith, but he’s quicker over the ground though.
hmmm, the thing is Williams likes getting forward and then if a move breaks down we only have the fairly slow James as cover for the back four, so for me for it to work, Williams has to be more defensive minded. :Like you say "give it to Alex Scott" and keep position.

Haven't looked forward to a home game with such anticipation for a while. Great opportunity to help Norwich end their "yo-yo" existence, with a big, up for it crowd, exciting young home grown players to watch, us playing well with great team spirit, and a good excuse to have a few cheeky ciders!
Slightly disappointed that Naismith isn't available, but I'm hoping we have enough in the tank to get past 'em. Here's to three points...
COYR!!!!!
With Naismith out, we need Williams & James to be on it. They have not looked that great played together from the start before, so lets hope they can both be on good form today.

Judging by the highlights, those goalkeeping sessions with the men's team are really paying off for Fran Bentley, some terrific reaction saves.
We do look physically stronger all round this year, it did look girls against women for large parts of last season.
I made it 7 good saves from Bentley, which perhaps shows the overall dominance London City had, but we took our chances. Now have to keep it up starting with a win against Lewes tomorrow.

Frustrating first half played on the back foot. Need to address how we played out from the back. Too deep and too slow resulting in all options being closed down by London. Second half much improved and a deserved win come the end. Cracking atmosphere amongst a slightly disappointing crowd.
Yep, trying to play out via the wing backs played straight into London City hands with their high press, Much better going more direct 2nd half and hopefully a lesson learnt for the rematch coming up soon.

Poor result today, now makes the London City Lionesses game a must win.

Great report as always Ole.
What was Kalas like in his 30 minutes back on the pitch?
Energetic and solid, his long throws were useful to get up the pitch a bit as well.

Closer to the play offs than the drop now….we couldn’t, could we?!
No, just be thankful we are moving away from the bottom 3.

It was a bad mistake from Max, but he has pulled off 3 or 4 good saves today and even after his error, he still was coming out claiming high balls - good to see.
