  1. That's the way it goes.... Anyway, as you're here (and I know how much you lot love talking about attendances), how come you couldn't manage to get 10k Sagheads turn up for your big local derby today? It's not as if you're having a shit season... No wonder Wally the multi billionaire doesn't want to pay for a 21k stadium himself, I don't blame him, what's the point? 81/82 season, we were 4th div, they were 3rd div. Its the only time they've done it in the last 52 years.
  2. ....and to think they were taking the piss out of us for 'only' managing 20k against Cardiff for a 12:00 kick off a few weeks ago. 10.5k at the Mem today for the visit of Swindon who brought more than 1k fans. Local derby, great home form, well within touch of the Play Offs in their best season for 18 years and they muster about 9k home fans. Presumably there was another bike ride taking place somewhere in Bristol today? I suppose if they get to play us next season in their cup final they might manage to get over 10k home fans for once....
  3. Famous only inside their own deformed heads. Meanwhile I notice the sixth richest club in the World have so far failed to pull off the multi million pound signings they told us they'd be making after Wally took over. It's ok though because the hypocrites have now decided they never really wanted that to happen anyway....of course Still, it's lucky they haven't signed Messi just yet because that could distract Slagchat regulars from their favourite hobby of playing with themselves whilst they fantasise about facing City one day for their big cup final.
  4. Yeah I misread it, although I do love to go on a good old anti Gas rant....thought you meant league match. Don't know what we'd get for a 3rd round FA Cup tie as a Championship club against a L1 club in the old AG. I can't remember the last time we were in that situation but it wouldn't surprise me if you're right.
  5. Yes we would. You're trying to tell me all those seasons in L1 when we were up and around the Play Offs (like yourselves this year) we weren't getting over 10k? You're talking shit and the actual figures are there to see. You've been scoring loads of goals at home and you're in your best league position for years yet you only managed 8.4k at home...as someone else pointed out we we're getting 11k at the 'old' AG when we were near the bottom of L1. What I don't get about you Gasheads is that you accuse us of being plastic fans with no passion yet you keep telling us that your supporters won't show up unless you've got a nice comfy seat to sit in. City have had higher attendances than the Gas for 51 of the last 52 years, a large number of those years we played in similar stadiums. I know you lot don't like to admit the truth but despite all the lies you tell about the behaviour of our fans towards our own and how utterly amazing and fantastic your quirky kit and awful 'anthem' supposedly are, the fact is, more Bristolians love City.
  6. You may not have mate but plenty of your fellow fans did on Social Media (especially the forums) after the arrival of Al Qadi. Along with claims of being the 6th richest club in the Country (), suggestions of waving £20 notes at Morecambe fans and laughable predictions of football domination, Gasheads were very keen to tell us how many millions of £££s Wael was going to throw at new signings. That explains our interest in your transfer activity (or lack of it). In the past when Rovers were skint your fans were more than content to sit in the shadows and sneer at our attempts to make decent signings, accusing us of trying to 'buy' L1/Championship every time we bring in a half decent player. Lansdown doesn't always make the right decisions but he always puts his money where his mouth is, which is why I suspect a lot of bitter, jealous Gasheads hate him so much....instead of walking away like your lot predict every single ******* year he keeps going and keeps backing our managers. Time for Wael to put HIS money where his mouth is and walk the walk, or maybe he doesn't really want to?....
  7. If they weren't the 'gift that keeps giving' this thread wouldn't exist and it wouldn't have been viewed so many times...by City fans AND visiting Gasheads from Slagchat..(Hi d1ckheads ) Its not our fault their club is a complete and utter shuttle crash.
  8. I lived in Lockleaze for several years (which is how I know their fans aren't anywhere near as loud at home as they pretend they are. It's actually North Bristols biggest library for most games), often used to see lads wearing City shirts, especially on Saturdays when City were at home as many would catch the direct bus service to AG. During one tournament (either the Euros or WC, can't remember which) one house just off Dovercourt Road had a huge St George flag hanging from the bedroom windows with 'Bristol City' written across it....this is 5 minutes walk from the Mem.
  9. Don't know about "happy again" but it is good to remember that, no matter what, things could always be worse...I mean just imagine if you were the '6th richest club in Britain' and all your owner was willing to pay for is this piece of shit?
  10. As it's Christmas: "He's making a list, he's checking it twice....to find the club that's the most tinpot and shite"...
  11. 'The Gift Giveth....and keep on giveth' Amen.
  12. We lost at home to Brighton and Gasheads were stroking themselves about how supposedly shit the quality is in the Championship and how they could easily compete at our level. They've now played the three utterly appalling teams relegated from the Champ last season. They've drawn at home to MK, lost at home to Bolton and been hilariously thumped, at home, by Charlton. Remember they're 'comin for us' #ticktock 'Mind da Gas' Deluded idiots.
  13. If your club hadn't been such a ******* car crash over the last couple of decades we wouldn't laugh at you so much, would we? You hand us the ammunition, don't cry when we use it. Oh, and hi to all the d1ckheads from Slagchat who obsessively view this thread.
  14. I think we probably will only take around a thousand. Birmingham and Reading are similar distances and with over 1500 already sold for Reading the week after I think most of our fans with bills and mortgages are opting to go to that game instead of Birmingham, especially with Christmas coming up....probably swayed by the fact that the railway line is shut north of Cheltenham. We sold out our allocation for Brum last year. I think our away support has been ok this year, over 1200 average and, as someone else has pointed out, that includeds midweek fixtures in Sheffield and Norwich as well as Rotherham and Barnsley. I've never heard any City fans claim that our away support is anything special....unlike the Gas who seem to think their away followings are something for the whole Football League to admire. They are the ones who build themselves up as something special, 1000 to London on a Saturday is not impressive for a club who claim to have huge support in one of Britains biggest cities. They didn't have to go by rail replacement buses either. Nice to hear from Millwall fans that they were as quiet away from home as they are at the Mem. That's another one of their myths busted.
  15. We took more than that to London on a Tuesday night. I thought they said their away support was amazing? What amuses me is that one week after they start a cocky thread on Slagchat about how they could easily compete in the Championship going by our performance against the joint best side outside the Prem, they've lost to a 4th division team in midweek and been dicked today. Oh, and they couldn't beat another 4th division side last Saturday either. They really don't help themselves.
  16. Sorry Flea, you missed a couple of important details.
  17. The Bristol Post genuinely are gullible ******* idiots aren't they?
  18. Piss off mate, you lot make it very clear that we are your cup final. Catching up with us is the ONLY thing you Gasheads think about. You make no secret of it either.
  19. Ok, let's have a look at the facts then... 1) Swindon Town were formed before the Gas. 2) Wally and his family are no where near as wealthy as SL. 3) They haven't averaged over 10k at home for 4 decades, they play in a small ground (that they never fill) in front of tents for stands. They've never even played top flight football. So no, none of those claims in the picture are 'official' in the slightest. Some of their fans really don't help themselves and its no wonder everyone laughs at them....deluded idiots. The gift.
  20. Yes, you are correct. Why did I have the 3rd of May in my mind?? Something ******* hilarious probably happened on that particular date in recent years.
  21. 9800 was the attendance against us on the 3rd May 1990.
  22. It's so obvious we are their 'Cup Final'. Every year the same thing. Bless....
  23. You're right about not being noisy...I lived in Horfield for several years and you couldn't tell when they were home, ******* silent every home game which was a bit of a surprise considering how much they've always blown their own trumpet about making an atmosphere. When I was a young kid in Bedminster you could always hear the crowd at the Gate. As for the length of this thread, it's only this big due to the ammunition they've given us over the last few years, in particular the hilarious year in the '5th division'. Comedy gold, such a funny little football club. I'll miss them when they up sticks like a 'franchise' club and move out of Bristol again.
  24. Do you often voluntarily do things you don't have to do that make you "lose the will to live"?
  25. Amazingly, some of them seem to genuinely believe that beating Cardiff 1-0 over 120 minutes in the EFL Cup is proof that their current squad could compete at Championship level. We completely dominated L1 in 14/15 yet hugely struggled with the step up as did MK. For a group fans who've made themselves comfortable sitting in the shadows for decades mocking our attempts to pull off ambitious signings it would be hilarious watching their attempts to strengthen their squad with Championship quality players whilst still playing in a ground with tents for stands. Your fans make no secret of the fact that playing us in the league is the thing that most of you dream about. Bristol Derbies have become a massive no-win situation for us, if we don't win by 5 clear goals your fans claim a 'moral victory' because Lansdown has spent so many millions whilst you've had to scrape by on penny's. Whenever the subject of attendances is brought up you claim the only reason for your lower crowd figures are the smaller ground you occupy, even though you rarely sell out home games in that smaller ground.....but then that's only because you haven't got nice comfy seats to sit in and your plastic fans won't turn up if they've got to stand up or sit in a tent. Genuine question for you.... When you're in the UWE Stadium, with your billionaire Arab sugar daddy bankrolling you, what excuses will you use for losing to City and having lower attendances than us?
