  1. Like when they were in the Basement and they used to say that if they were in L1 they'd sell out their ground every week? Or maybe when we only took 670 to Sheffield Utd a couple of years ago for a 12:00 KO, televised on SKY...and they took the piss saying that if they were in the same position they'd take loads more.... All mouth no trousers as per usual.
  2. Just over 8100 at home in L1. Yes, they clearly are the biggest club in Bristol. How the hell can we possibly compete with these numbers?
  3. This one acknowledges that we have always attracted more fans through the turnstiles but then goes on to say that they aren't that far behind us when it comes to the number of fans we both have in Bristol. That pisses all over their claim that their fans are more loyal than us then doesn't it? This particular Saghead may find it bizaar that we've always had higher attendances than them but clearly it's just a case that their club and fans aren't as special as they like to think they are.
  4. That was the season after mate. I was referring to our first season back in L1 after we'd been relegated under O'Driscoll.
  5. By far the most loyal? Only 5k STs sold on the back of their best season since 2000 8k at home in L1 300 odd to Bradford, 500 to Bury...both on Saturdays. We sold 9000 STs on the back of relegation to L1 after the worst season I can remember in the 30 years I've been supporting City. We've spent most of the last two seasons struggling at the wrong end of the Championship table....they've been challenging for promotion each year, visiting grounds like Pompey, Plymouth, Swindon, Oxford, Coventry, MK, Walsall, Charlton, Millwall etc in those seasons and they still don't average more away from home than us. It was only a couple of weeks ago someone posted a thread on Slagchat asking Gasheads to provide stats to prove their away support is better than ours and the best they could come up with was "uhh Dean Windass huh huh huh" and stuff about 1982 for some reason? So basically they've got nothing....
  6. Spot on. One of them mentions how Cardiff detest us, that's because we actually play them on a regular basis and they see us as a local rival... Not some funny little club with a quirky kit from over the bridge that they never play in a proper competitive match.
  7. Using combined Gas/thick, ass kissing Wolves fans logic, Doncaster are now the biggest club in Yorkshire. Now THAT was a proper following.
  8. The team they dream of playing. Their ultimate cup final, a trip to the Gate.
  9. They have got the owners they deserve. Gasheads can't be arsed to show up for regular league matches so why should their owners put any serious money into the club? Taking 2000 to a nice big ground they haven't visited for 25 years against a team in a higher division with tickets at £10 a pop doesn't make them anything special. Where were those fans when they went to Wigan on Saturday...or Bradford, or Bury? It was their big night out, just like Birmingham a few years ago. How cute. Our 700 to Molineux was only 4 days after we took 3400 to Reading.
  10. Is that the last time they finished above us? Thought they were supposed to be taking 4000? Thats what the chimpanzees on Slagchat were confidently predicting a couple of weeks ago. Presumably the other 2000 "wuz in the gert ******* home end" or something...
  11. Just about to post this myself. Its good to read things like this from opposition fans.
  12. Yep. Thats my prediction for the attendance at the Mem tonight as well. 200 from Oldham.
  13. Tragic. Some lonely, ass kissing Brummie begging for attention and a lying d1ck head Sag claiming they've always been the better supported club 'on the road' despite actual attendance stats showing that they haven't. Cretins. Perhaps the Wolves fan feels sorry for them because he knows exactly what it feels like to live in the shadow of your biggest rivals?
  14. You can tell it means so much to little turds like that one. Only £10 a ticket they're paying as well.
  15. 3-4000 they were confidently predicting a couple of weeks back. Funny how they suddenly show some interest for cup matches at big grounds they rarely visit but only manage a meagre 400 or so when visiting Bradford and Bury. Only 8000 of them again at home last Saturday. God knows why they insist on bringing up attendances all the time?
  16. Sheffield Utd, L1, SKY TV, 12:30 kick off we took 655.....and they took the piss big time saying if they were in the same position they'd take double etc. If they didn't make out their away support was something special then I wouldn't mock them. Besides, by 4:00 this afternoon they'll be claiming 800 Potd + "all the Gas in the ome end".
  17. Travelling away in huge numbers... its just what they do
  18. That's what we do though, that's not the Gas way. Bit like when we had an inclination that the plans for the new stadium at Ashton Vale were in doubt. City released plans for a redeveloped AG 6 months before AV was declared dead in the water. The AQs didn't bother with that...instead they dropped hints (new sprinklers, new seats for the tent, "don't the carpets and curtains look clean today?" etc) 'Evolution' apparently.
  19. Yeah, you're probably right Phil. Still, you'd think they'd be more than happy to provide evidence that their away support is better than ours no matter who is asking the question. Obviously not though.
  20. So the OP on that thread wanted his fellow Gasheads to provide him with some away support statistics to prove how much better their away support is and nobody could actually come up with anything that wasn't either made up or irrelevant. Funny that.
  21. I don't believe this is true. However, I did hear that the players are now taking it in turns to take all the kit home after games for their mum's to wash because the official BRFC washing machine is ****** and Currys won't give them a new one on finance because their credit rating is shit.
  22. You're just trying to keep the thread ticking over aren't you mate?
  23. Are you sniffing glue tonight? They weren't selling out "pretty much every home game" under Holloway and we were getting 11.5k because that was the number of seats available for City supporters.
