2 days before the final their ticket sales finished up at 26k. Most of the top tier was unsold where there’s room for 20k fans from each club. There were plenty of tickets available right until the match so they wouldn’t have been given any tickets in areas unsold by Grimsby fans....there was just no demand for it. Therefore, given the fact that over half the top tier (Rovers end) was unsold there was no way they could’ve had 30k there, let alone 30k+. The figures don’t add up and pictures of the day show this. With POTD it looks like they had around 28k there.
