  1. Those were the days. I would have needed both of my tiny hands to shove it in my gob.
  2. if you search for my historical posts you'll find that (apart from a couple of pints when I was in hospitality 25 years ago) I've only ever bought a single wagon wheel at the gate and that was probably 40 years ago now. Luckily (or not) I've always lived locally, so even if I do get hungry I can be home relatively quickly (I sit in the Dolman and stay to the end so it takes a while to get out) to scarf some grub. I'd probably be tempted by a £1 veggie pie on my way out otheriwsie.
  3. The best we'll ever do with KP45 is to get a league one team desperate to get into the play offs to take a gamble on a loan until the end of the season. We'd be extremely lucky if they ponied up £5k a week for the privilage.
  4. He'd probably stay there forever if he thought he had that to look forward to (PS Theres a good Cider With episode by @Shtanley here Cider With JP if anyone didn't catch it.)
  5. The radio Bristol interviewer asked whether it was an impact injury. NP said it wasn't and he (Scott) was feeling it in both calves or some such. I was less informed than I'd be if the question hadn't been asked.
  6. Yeah, too right, Compare and contrast against the last away performance.
  7. A player like Scott is a rare find - his potential is up to full international level. Whether he makes that depends on many things, but he's got the attributes at this stage and I've no doubt all but the elite PL teams will be keeping tabs on him. Villa are very cheeky (they're a very naughty boy), and we can't very well rebuild if we sell off the foundations.
  8. Also he's due in court next thursday for an alleged assault on his wife.
  9. I broke into a wide grin at Tom Ritchie's Bambi legs and goal celebration, and held my head in my hands until Hirst mishit winner trickled in off the post.
  10. I'm not sure I'd bank them lowering prices this year, Richard Gould is a money maker after all. But yeah, I don't see many bothering anyway, and if they want to to charge £15 or £20 quid to sit in hte Dolman then forget it.
  11. Well, well. Ipswich is definately full of turds now then.
  12. Apart from kit, I doubt anyone designs anything. Probably all white label crap where you get to provide the logo.
  13. We were hanging on in that one. If we ever needed a wake up call ...
  14. Don't worry we also did that in the first half. Except we took ours from the correct place.
  15. Fantastic bit of play - immensely frustrating if you're an opposition player or fan. I know he's a talent, but I can't help thinking the U23s/U18s are being taught to play the game two levels up from most of the first teamers.
  16. Get the black light, 'cus it sounds like his DNA is all over this.
  17. Is that Bert Lampard from The Three Feathers? He might be up for it.
  18. Exactly what should happen. Unfortunately it's usually the victims that get forgotton. Time to change that.
  19. I wouldn't p1ss on the daily fail if it was on fire. To date I think their are 145K UK deaths where Covid is noted on the death cert (and this may or may not have been a contributing factor to death). The total UK population is approx 67M. So that's about 0.2% of the population. So as a rule you aren't very likely to know of someone who's died with Covid.
  20. Sticks, do you report attendances for The Gas? If not, they would love to have you. Imagine getting weekly crowds of over 35,000 in The Minimal
  21. I think you did because even I knew this and my head is usulaly buried deeply in the sand when it comes to city injuries. An absolute travisty, for the player, and for us. Clearly he is a cut above, but is he even going to be properly fit?
  22. And maybe that's because there will be too many miscreants attracted to the game for the police to cope with.
  23. I've been watching city since 77/78 and I remember a body being carried out on a stretcher at least once, possibly twice, before 1980. There was also the unfortunate incident with the drummer during the pre match v Forest in the Littlewoods cup semi final 88/89.
